I can see the benefit of it always being hot and ready to go over repeatedly torching my swing.

I do not like the 15 min auto shut off feature. :( granted with dabs you only need a couple and are good for a while... shut off features in general annoy me. "I'll tell YOU when I am done using you, mr vape... thank you very much!" ;) [so glad my sub is one without the auto shut off!]

The auto shutoff might change as we figure out what it should be. This thing can climb above 1000F and torch anything that falls into it... so the right thing to do is give it an auto shutoff. We set it at 20 minutes at first, but it would annoyingly shut off the moment we came back for our second hit. So we set it to 30 min but it became too hot to touch. It's OK to run at full temperature forever - all components will handle the heat buildup indefinitely. So it just needs you to cycle the knob here and there if you're still using it. The included warranty allows for free upgrades any time they are available, so I'm pretty sure your shutoff time could be adjusted by us if you want. Would need to check on that.

@vaporbrothers outta curiosity, do the units that are going to retail still do that light show? i had a stoned thought... could that trigger seizures in some people? i was reading earlier about a pokemon episode that caused like 600 kids in japan to have seizures because of a specific flashing pattern on the screen for a few seconds...

The fucked up thing is that I heard that they played that same episode on the news and more people got affected , could be a different unrelated story, but I thought that was fucked up in the first place.

Yes the unit flickers for 10 sec when you turn it on. It's doing that to be gentle on the heater during warmup. The lights are tied to the power setting so it's hard to isolate them without adding a bunch of expense. We tried to choose a frequency (about 10Hz) that doesn't trigger epileptics but it depends on the person. It's annoying to me so we're working on a better way. All new units and repaired units will be updated once we do have a solution.

On another note, The Baker is gearing up. We used it at the party and it preformed well in such a large group. I have a few changes I'm waiting on engineering to work out and I will start to share real details.

Edit: whoops, I thought this was baker thread. Doesn't really matter but maybe mods want to move this post

Nice to get your accidental post. You must be really busy. Breakaway cord makes me jealous. Look forward to the details.

Not until finances are better, but this really looks like it's right up my alley! Always searching for the purest of the pure. I have to say that I purchased my first vape ever(MFLB) from Vaporwarehouse, and must say that their customer service AND knowledge of products is second to NONE! They'll be hearing from me soon.

Bingo!
This is right.
It feels good.
When I sent back VaporBrother's VB2, to it's home, a piece of me died.
I was sad, because the unit had made many trips back and forth, and I had grown fond of it.
Things about it were tweaked a bit "differently", and the element was not the same shape...
SO, naturally I was a nervous nelly.. hoping the production unit would even mildly come close to
the unit I had been working with all this time.
In a conversation it was pointed out that a test unit is not actually a BETA unit, but more of a prototypical "garage build". That sounded very cool to me. Ha... a one-of-a-kind unit was likely the most powerful that there was!
The Original "Garage Build" unit that I used to call the CheeseBox was a damned tank.
The new unit with it's refinements was bound to be delicate.
~WRONG~
Boy was I ever!
VB2 arrived today.
This is no sissy machine.
This is a BEAST!
The 15 minute shutoff is NOT an issue.
They say they may vary that later, but it does not matter.
It has saved my ass repeatedly, this morning alone.
I have walked into the room THREE times to find a red light glowing (indicating auto shutoff has shut unit), when I swore that I never left the room with unit on. On all 3 occasions, I found the unit set on High.. and would have sworn a Poltergeist turned it on. I am now a fan of the auto shutoff.
I challenge you to get a blast off this beast, and to be clear headed enough to answer the phone, door, and then remember the VB2 was on.
I mean, after a couple of minutes with this unit, if you do happen to get distracted and walk away....
... there is a good chance you will not remember and go back to the room the unit is in for at least an hour!
The production unit is better than my original.
The lights are gentle, and are not strobe-like.
The temperatures are high, and right.
NOT a toy.
NOT for kids.
NOT for light recreation.
For serious users.
This is the ultimate in immediate vaporization of whatever touches.
I am more pleased with my production unit of the VB2 then I was with the original.
It could handle a green pea sized dab of wax... it you thought that doing so was appropriate!
The best thing about this unit... is that it is mine.
I love it!

Might be right behind you Blaze. I've been eyeballing this, but what it really comes down to is, any recommend of V's goes the distance for me.
I hope they gifted the unit to him because he just sold them a number units!
And @BLAZING OG Nice Christmas themed sig!

Merry day after to all!
V is one of the most credible people as well as OF, I value any input they put out.
If V says this is a beast, Iam all in and I dont need to question that statement at all!!!!
VB are some good dudes , if they didn't gift it to V iam sure he got a sweet deal, he surely deserves it IMHO.
Wait till I tell the collective buddies , they have been waiting with cash in hand for the VB2 to drop lol lol

The ceramic dabbing is gotta be so clean, like those new domeless nails that are all ceramic, VB2=game changer.:clap::clap:

clean it is.
There is never any buildup on a nail to be tidied.
Each and every time I want to dab, that ceramic surface is waiting..
as white as the driven snow.
You see the residues if any are obliterated by the high heat.

Thanks V, That's what intrigues me the most besides how amazing it will taste, :borg:the self cleaning advanced ceramic insert is mind boggling :drool::love:
I have to toss my nails away after 6 months of heavy use, the one's that dont see as much action can probably last me a year.

Week 3
This has become routine, and I suddenly realized I had not talked to our FC friends VaporBrothers in a long time. Time got away from me. I lost track, because I have stayed well medicated.
I have predictably used the VB2 for a few 2-dab sessions every day
Let's face it folks, after two fat dabs that only last 2 seconds each things get a bit "calm" upstairs,
and so I love auto shutoff.
I am so pleased with my VB2 routine.
I set the dabber in it's place after the second fat dab, and I walk away.
The shutoff has become my friend. it self cleans the VB2 AND
I subconsciously no longer EVER have to look to see if I "left it on"
Patty no longer asks if the VB2 has been turned off
(Darned.. I keep having to restrain myself from typing cheesebox, because that is still what we call it around my home)
Nothing exciting to say now?
This is the dab limit, and there has been no change in that.
I did use water a few times.
But I can not make this thing any more powerful, nor would I want to.....
and I have no complaints.. there are no issues, nothing malfunctions.....
so the thread here has been quiet.
Every time I turn this thing on all is predictable
I am lucky I get any work accomplished around here at all with this unit in my house.

Just a heads up... Was actually surprised to see one of these at NYGifts on sixth ave in the village yesterday. I was just browsing and needed to pick up a few odds and ends but they have a few in stock. Happy shopping.

...and it begins.
It begins in an avant garde place for eclectic people with a very wide world view.
What a good place for the retail market to begin, and evolve from!

A few of these have trickled out to some brick and mortar stores. If anyone is seriously interested in getting a VB2 contact Vaporbrothers directly (support at vaporbrothers dot com) as they have less than a handful available. So limited they only sold us 2 and we've been in on this from the get go.

The VB2 is still in the early stages of production release. If things go as planned, expect a larger rollout at some point in the near future.
