The information posted on our website needs to be updated. The battery used is 900mAH. Appreciate that you picked up on the discrepancy.
That's odd. I believe he's still in the beta testing phase.
Indica's IT Team should be waving a banner of "Under Construction", Thanks for bring this to my attention.

There is a new pic on the website showing the new oven door design, I believe the door slides out, revealing
the oven and the usb port.
Could get tricky if charging on the go with a portable battery, make sure not to loose the door or forget about vaping that day.
Maybe making it magnetic so it can stick to the indica while charging?

of latch for the oven door so we won't need to remove the door for charging.

Good new for all Indica followers. We have completed Beta testing round #1 and are in Active Production. ( A special thanks to the “Indica Beta Test team”) At this point we forecast that the Indica will be available through our E commerce site for immediate shipments by the first or second week in November.

I apologize for the long silence. FC followers need to know that Indica wants to ensure that our products will surpasses your expectations and meets the FC vaporization standards. In order to fulfill this commitment, it has been necessary to rework some design issues. Though we are extremely close, there are there are details that must be slightly reworked before production begins. With that said, we will keep you informed with the progress on a week by week basis as we get closer to full and final production.
To be honest and safe, I will hold back from specifying a date for the release but will post weekly with up dates. It will be soon. Thanks for your patience.

i think, they might have trouble with their factory in china and they weren't happy with what they've recieved. unfortunately, it happens very often, that they don't produce exactly what they were told to.
but that's just my personal theory.
i still have lots of hope that this thing will be super awesome, when they finally release it

Some times weeks turn into months. Again, I’m sorry for the delayed responses. I had hoped to have news as of December 1st but we needed to improve certain elements and confirm from our beta testers that the Indica was truly ready for market.
This past week our available testers affirmed the Indica is good to go. With this reassurance, the website and shipments should be open for business by the end of the Month. Though the quantities might be limited at first, we will ramp up production over the next two months to satisfy both unique consumer and distributer alike.

I was on the beta team and was quite critical of the first units. But after our feedback was registered Indica went back and made some changes to make it a much improved product.
Tech wise it's very similar to the Pax. It uses a conduction oven connected to a tube and a mouthpiece. I am not a fan of conduction vapes (just personal preference), but when we were all done I felt like it was going to get some use in my collection. If you like the Pax, then this an alternative to consider, and probably the better choice (remember that is being said without my having had a Pax), due to its smaller size and more temp options.
At first I was disappointed in the size of the unit, as it is noticeably bigger than a Zippo lighter, which it is mimicking. But it turned out that I didn't like the size coupled with the underperforming early beta units. Once the final beta unit produced good clouds and got me effectively medicated, I started to enjoy the size. It's the most pocket friendly vape I have. I like it in the pocket even more than the mflb due to that unit's perpendicular battery alignment. This thing slides in and out of the pocket easily and I find myself playing with the lid that sounds a lot like a real Zippo.
I was never in the market for a Pax since its oven is so damn big and you have to pack it to get good results. The Indica comes with a spacer (another beta testing victory!) that fills half the oven for when you want to pack those smaller loads. I always use it with the spacer since I am such a miser.
It has five (I think that is where the final landing was) temps that are wide enough to feel the different effects...I think the temp spots are good. When using the final unit I would hit it around middle during the day for a nice head buzz and then finish it off on the highest setting for night time and it worked well.
Bottom line is this is a legitimate vaporizer that will be good for some and will really hit the mark for others. It's most endearing quality is its shape/size, imo.

They went much further than any other company I have worked with to get the vape right and quickly got redesigned units out to confirm, and that's a costly process. Most importantly, Indica really took the criticism well and made improvements. I've never done business with these guys, but through the beta process I got the impression they would be a good company to work with as a customer.
I'm sure I am missing some details right now, but let the questions ensue!

flavor is good...better than the PN but not as good as the Ascent (which I thought was tops in class in flavor).
Vapor density was the big issue in earlier units. The finished beta got here when it was colder, so I didn't put too much weight on visible exhale since I know the cold air was effecting it. but I was surprisingly happy with the clouds...I remember thinking 'shit, this is legit!"
I couldn't tell you exact load size...my good scale is on the way. But the half load that I always used ended up being somewhere between a 1/3 and 1/2 full elb. some of the other beta testers may be able to get more specific here. but that's why I liked the spacer so much...I didn't feel locked into a huge pack with a conduction vape.
as for session length, I ended up using it until the auto-shutoff every time (I think it is eight minutes?) and would probably get between ten and fifteen draws leaving several seconds in between to let it build up again. I know Indica got a lot more draws than me, but we all know that's just individual draw style.
I got six sessions on one charge, with four of them being at full blast, so I would think you might get close to ten low-to-mid temp sessions.
abv was very uniform. When removing the spacer, or door with a full oven, the outer edge was lighter since that surface doesn't get hot (just like the Pax). But when I dumped out the load after each session it was very uniform. And low to mid temps gave it a lighter cook as it should. It wasn't until on high that it actually got dark, but it never got to that nasty, fully spent dark coffee color.

Right on! Thanks sticks. I've been a zippo collector for a long time, that is what initially sparked my interest. The form factor alone drew me to it now knowing that the performance is on par may very well merit a future purchase. How much bigger than an actual zippo is it?
