He's not heating anything. How is it smoke or vapor? Alcohol in the lungs? No thanks.
Wasnt everything carbonated? Its like opening a soda and inhaling tha gas that's released once you release tha pressure in tha bottle. So wouldnt there be zero alcohol and just co2 or whatever soda fizz is?

Not supporting this company, i actually never do anything alcohol related except iso for cleaning. BUT, i think it looks cool http://www.vaportini.com/home.html

Vapes on vapes on vapes!
There have been threads about the Vaportini before. I remembered reading them so I thought I'd quote a post from one.

Alcohol without liquid!

AWOL was first in Asia and Europe. It was introduced to the United States in August 2004.
The possible health and safety risks of inhaling alcohol vapors are unknown and many legislators are promoting legislation to ban alcohol inhalation machines. Michigan has made it illegal to possess, sell or use an AWOL machine, and as of June 2008, 22 other states have banned the device; Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wyoming. Support for such legislation comes from groups fighting underage drinking and drunk driving, including alcohol companies such as Diageo and industry groups such as the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS), among others.

I don't really have an opinion either way and haven't tried this and probably wont. I just thought I'd add that info Quetz had posted in a thread about the Vaportini (link to thread).

it's the pressure he's creating that's doing it. when you increase the pressure of things you lower it's boiling point. it's flash vaping once the pressure is released.

my question for him would be what else is vaping up when he does this? sugars, colouring, what else?

also it seems crazy efficient. why aren't alcoholics doing this instead of drinking it? the only thing "harder" would be to shoot it with a hypo right? haha i'm looking at you now steve-o!

It seems interesting the way it bypasses the gi system, in the way a little goes such a long way, also the fact that there is no hangover, and that the buzz comes on and goes away much more quickly.

But it also seems a bit dangerous if you do to much at one time, or it ignites :o

I'm gonna have to try it sometime

I just hope this doesn't get popular on college campuses. Definitely not the safest/smartest thing ever.

But hey, at least you won't puke!

I can't even believe that vaporitni device is sold. Mind officially blown.

Love the dudes "woah, wooooah"

I believe it's been made illegal in over 20 states, but not mine!

when you increase the pressure of things you lower RAISE it's boiling point.

my bad, I got it backwards. but the principle of what is happening in the vid is still true :)

so i'm guessing it's the rapid drop in pressure that flash vapes the alcohol out of the solution.

Solod out.
Lol imagine taking that shit to the club.
"you know what? i saturated that with my balls... on your face"
funny stuff

One fact makes me a troubled - i've played with old school tabletop cloud chambers (for visually detecting individual atoms and large subatomic particles) and the 'cloud' is pressure-vaporized alcohol. The idea of inhaling anything that can make individual atoms visible makes me deeply nervous.

I'm not sure you realize how small atoms are...

Perhaps you're talking about something else?

Nope. Has to be under specific pressures, but it is straight-up pure ethyl alcohol. Trust me dude- PhD in history of ideas and science. I've used the equipment. Can't see them with the naked eye, but you CAN see the trails high-energy atoms leave in the pressurized alcohol cloud with the naked eye.

You can actually buy one of the old units and a chunk of uranium to use with it from any of a couple of scientific equipment clearinghouses. Been thinking about getting one for the 'weird shit' collection.

Oh now I know what youre talking about. I remember watching radioactive gas decay and shoot off making vapor trails during labs. Pretty sweet stuff.

Do you think that when vaping that you could tell the difference between the tastes of different types of booze, like gin and rum? And what about quality differences, or level of impurities within a type of liquor?

btw I didn't share this hoping others would try it. I know I won't be doing it myself.

i do find that guy entertaining though. he may look like a dumb jock, but I think there is something more there too. he's also funny so I like that.

regarding the idea of an alcohol enema... no, I didn't know of this. lol why am i not surprised? I know it's a good way to get things into your body. drug smugglers od when the rubber breaks, or of a family stranded at sea who survived until rescued all because of salt water enemas for hydration. (the salt didn't pass through the membrane apparently. the father of the family was a dr btw.)

I would be lead to think so yes. the way mr. "la beast" reacted to the different ones made me think they tasted different. that train of thought also tells me that more than just alcohol is vaping off due to the process. that part is what worries me.

My face is melting...
Eyeball shots were the big thing a few years ago.

It's hard to fathom the need or compulsion to get drunk by any other way than drinking. I guess that's why it's considered a disease.

Using serious culinary tech, i.e. a rotary evaporator, you can get JUST the flavor of a liquor as either a vapor or liquid. So I'd guess there's a way to get both the flavor and the alcohol if you wanted to.
