Greetings FC

This is my first post but I used to lurk frequently a lot a while back. I've been away from the meds for about 2.5 years, but I'm now dipping back into the medicine cabinet.

I'm no stranger to vaping. I used to have the original vaporbros that I used daily, and I often used the SSV and Volcano that my friends had. Also, used to love the GonG attachment, but that is not a priority right now.

So, I'm just getting back into herbs, but I'm now in a situation that requires some tactful stealth. I'm looking to get something that will be my "daily driver" but probably will not see daily use. It will mostly be used at home (but still needs to be somewhat sneaky there) and I like the idea of taking it out and about on rare occasion. 99.9% of its use will be flowers so I'm not worried about use with oils or concentrates.

I've done a good amount of reading, but the model specific threads are lengthy and I didn't have patience to go through every page of every model.

My most important criteria are:
Stealth--odor and hideability
Ease of cleaning--I like to leave no trace in terms of residue buildup, ground particulates, or smell
Durability (doubt it will be dropped but don't want something delicate at the same time)
Bowl--size: I will pack small, don't mind leaving it packed and coming back to it though
Travel-ability--will the bowl spill into the device in my pocket?, can I repack on the go?
Set up time--Is it going to take 10 minutes to prep, or can I drop herb in let it heat and rip

This will be used as a standalone 99% of the time. I don't/won't have any glass anymore. Most sessions will be solo. I'd like to be able to use it in public, though I won't much (at this point, anyway).

My basic questions are as follows:

Pinnacle Pro:
-Does it make any sounds? Beeps or anything
-Are the lights too bright to make it stealthy at night?
-Does it contain smell well? Obviously the vapor I exhale has some smell, but does the unit emit extra smell or retain smell even when emptied?
-How easy is it to clean?
-Do the bullets have some type of cap to keep the herb in? Or can I make one using a screen?
-Will herb spill out if it is loaded and bouncing around in my pocket?
-Does the bowl require mixing?

DaVinci Ascent:
-Will it spill in my pocket?
-Seems easy to clean the glass path, but what about under the bowl or the rest of the device?
-Does it retain smell after being emptied but not cleaned? How is the smell when in use?
-Does it make any noise? Do the lights prevent stealth use?
-Does the bowl need to be mixed?

After careful consideration, I'm leaning towards the PNP, but would love to hear others weigh in/clear up some of these questions. I know the solo is supposed to be fantastic, but I've ruled it out as it doesn't meet some of my more important criteria. I've looked at all the major handhelds before coming to these two. I have heard a lot of dissatisfied users of the ascent posting online. The PNP seems like the best choice for all of my needs, but I do like the form factor of the ascent. I'm open to recommendations and also okay with something older (like the original DaVinci portable) if you think it suits my needs better.

I think what it will come down to is how easy it will be to clean the PNP and also how well it does in terms of smell. I'm going to clean as frequently as I can but due to stealth needs, that won't be as frequently as I'd prefer to clean it. So I need something that won't smell when not in use.

Sorry for that long first post and thanks for the help! Hopefully it will help a few others decide as other this vs that threads here did for me (though I'm still slightly on the fence).

I no you said you ruled out the solo as it dose not meat your needs but i strongly advise you to reconsider

1 all vapor smells aclil bit but the solo its self dose not smell at all when not in use
2 solo has a all glass vapor path so eazy to clean with iso takes minutes
3 solo is a tank i drop mine a lot on to allsorts of floors and in the solo thread someone left his out in the snow then drove over it the next morning and it still worked
4 small bowl with a domed screen added i load .05
5 you can buy mflb battery caps for solo stems for per loading
6 yep you just tern it on Waco a bud in a start to rip

there is not a vape on the market that will meet all your needs, but it sounds to me like you will like the PNP more than the Ascent.

Pinnacle Pro:
-Does it make any sounds? Beeps or anything
No
-Are the lights too bright to make it stealthy at night?
Not at all, can be used towards you to block lights or cover them up.
-Does it contain smell well? Obviously the vapor I exhale has some smell, but does the unit emit extra
smell or retain smell even when emptied?
Not smelly at all when off or emptied at least not mine, but as soon as it warms up and the bullet is inserted it can get smelly.
-How easy is it to clean?
Easy peezy, you can soak the bullet in iso or just q-tip iso swab it clean, swap iso dipped qtip for mouthpiece and screen, all done.
-Do the bullets have some type of cap to keep the herb in? Or can I make one using a screen?
They just came out with a bullet holder, you can use foil, silicone caps for ecigs, you can make your own also by cutting down silicone stoppers to found on amazon.
-Will herb spill out if it is loaded and bouncing around in my pocket?
The bullets hold the herb very well some can fall out but not all, now if your bouncing around and the bullet is loaded and taps against something that might dislodge the grinded herb's then it is possible. You can put a nug to lock in the herbs or a screen no2 vape screens seem to work well.
-Does the bowl require mixing?
No, conduction and convection cook herbs thoroughly and evenly with no stirring.

PNP low temps and hiting it dry, skip to 2:54 for the clouds.

PNP thru water, high temp vaping.

Lotus is a great portable as well as a great home vape. Quick vape session.

cera is also very awesome, I dont have the herb version but heres the oil cart in action

Firefly seems to be a good option,I have a grasshopper on order but thats slated in feb-march.

Hope you find your ideal vape!!!
Peace !!!

Thank you all for the advice. I think the the PNP will suit me best all around.

Blazing OG, thank you, that was very thorough. I may have to consider one of those as a more portable and discreet option down the road.

Glad I can highlight some of the vapes that might fit your needs, some others might have more that I might have missed. I only commented on the vapes that I have!
Glad it was useful.
Let us know what you end up deciding on!:tup:

Cleaning the PnP is very simple since the only part that really gets messy is the flower bullet. It shouldn't smell when not in use if the bullet is empty. When I have a fresh bullet packed I can only smell it if my nose is really close to the PnP.
