LV DART is about 1.5 Ohms, I don't have a AVA but suspect it's the same?

OF
I'm not sure about it. I saw the coils in the AVA and DART and there's a difference in the amount of wraps that I can see. Plus, it takes longer for the DART to warm up. I tried it with some juice after cleaning it (my AVA threads are stripped to hell but everything else I've put on my Ultra works perfectly) as a temporary replacement/see if it was worth it, and it took a noticeable amount of time longer to heat up/get that light gurgle.

Anyways I did end up swapping out the 2.4 for the 1.8 and I think I like this one more.

Thanks again for the knowledge. I'm getting more and more into the more technical aspect of ecigs (rebuildable atomizers, wick types, wire gauges and wraps relating to ohms, etc) so I'm sure the info will come handy later on down the road.

Anyone have some quick cleaning/maintenance tips for the AVA + RES? Can I boil them or should I rinse with hot water at least? Just got mine in and wanna make sure I make em last.

Also, anyone have any good suggestions for carts that would work as a secondary kit for my ultramax? (for when I send AVA in for repair etc.)

EDIT: WRONG THREAD MY BAD LOLZ

I don't use them, but I'm told you can boil them ('anything but the batteries and switches').

My favorite back up for Revolution/DART is another Revolution/DART (of course).....but one of these guys:
http://www.tropicalvapors.com/Adapter-510-Battery-to-601-Cartomizer_p_68.html

will fit (match threads) on a 2.4 Ohm Omicron cart. This is one of my favorite ways to use Omicrons, carries very well in the pocket runs half a gram or so without reloading. You might also consider a KISS or similar 'globe type' cart in 510 (directly) or 601 (with the above adapter).

As to threads......I'm of the opinion that you should 'answer them when and where asked'.... and hope you get your answer somehow.

more great advice and info from OF

2.4ohms is the best place to start/be at, correct? Those numbers are also a mystery to me haha. I'm not looking to get crazy fiddly with the cart or technique (with ejuice that is) if I can help it.

Yup, start with them for sure. There's also a 1.5 Ohm one that can produce more vapor but is more temperamental to use (easy to burn oil and seals through overheating). By all means start with 2.4 (many of us stick with them, they do a great job with little tending).

Weigh the cart empty. Add half a gram, following the loading instructions carefully (especially the preheating the center of the cart part). Start your draw a second or so before hitting the power (until you get the hang of it) and pull cold air through after power down to cool the seals. Keep track of the weight, add more when it gets to .2 above the dry weight. Most of the time you can run 3 or so grams per cart with clean concentrates before scrapping them.
