Either way works fine so you can let it air dry. While you air dry the bulk you could dry what your vaping to start with in the trench.

But if you can grind with the Finishing grinder most likely its dry enough. I would think its more what pakalolo said and you just have very kind sticky sweet Buds that need more shaking and stirring.

More then likely the Best and only "Trouble" you'll have with your Launch Box.

You could always try the old 2 nickels in a pill bottle trick too. Turns nugs into dust.

I'm only talking from my own experience, but even with both really dry material and the pill bottle trick, I still have the small "issue" of the herb sticking to itself on the first 1 or 2 hits when I use my highest quality material.
I usually just gently poke it with the other end of the cleaning brush and then it's ready to go for the rest of the session.

So my point is that even with really dry material and the proper grind, you could still have this issue with quality material, but I don't think that's really something to worry about.

My goal is too re introduce the mflb into my rotation as a during the day device as some days I feel too sleepy from too big of vapor hits. Hoping to use it on the go a lot more as well. Pa 2.0 is really gunna help dial in good bong rips too. I'm excited to jam with this bad boy on my amp again.

I know what you mean. Danky dank glues itself in the shape of the trench. But, I found out really early on that if you're cool with sacrificing half a hit, you can take that first tasty rip, then take the second one without shaking. The heat seems to break up the stickiness of it enough that I don't have to open the lid or anything, just a nice few shakes.

I never thought of taking 2 hits without shaking. Nice tip, I'll be sure to try it soon ;)

Yea, I got the PA 2.0 a month or so ago. Ever since, the MFLB is almost all I use. Haven't even touched my other units (including desktop) lately.
I'm really hoping this will happen to me, as tired of hauling a desktop around ( sublimator UFO) and my solo seems to not have good effect you are just using it for long periods of time. Hopefully PV will ship it boxing day and I can get it for the new year!

Just ordered a PA 2.0 and glyph batteries from PV! Can't wait to try the box with the PA. I'm hoping it rejuvenates my love for the box. Same goes for the batts!
Imho it gives the launch box some much needed power, i am using it a bit more since getting the power adapter.

Hello. Long time partaker of herb. New user of the Mflb. My impressions after about 10 days of doing 3-5 trenches a day. By following the advice of many things I have read and watched. I find this to be a life changer for me. Granted I dont have any other vaporizer to compare it to, but by using good technique and using fine dry ground herb I am having a fantastic experience with this. The buzz is cleaner and clearer. I tried to smoke a joint. Out of a metal pipe and out of a glass pipe after a week of using the Mf. It all tasted like crap. It has ruined me for smoking I think. I love the 1st few hits of the trench. I can actually taste the citrus flavors. At any rate I have learned a great deal from this site and the MFLB site. Thank you!

@JVegas Welcome to the world of vaporizing and fuckcombustion.

You made a great choice in the Magic flight. Although I have a handful or two of other vaporizers and the Launch Box was my second vape(vg classic was first) still the little box could well serve as my only vape, it's a fine vaping tool in a small package. Glad you found a new way to enjoy life with good ol' Mary Jane.

And Wishing all you Magic Flighters a very vapor filled Merry X-Mas ! Enjoy !

I never really use the mflb around the house but I just got the appropriate size of silicon tubing so I put together a WPA.

Enjoying my mflb all day in anticipation for my PA and glyph batts on Monday! I'm enjoying the high from my box again, keeps me buzzed without burnin out too hard. Compared to hitting my sublimator hard mid day and feeling tired the rest of the day.

I've just finished a session with the beta concentrate box.
I melt the concentrate into the screen using a batt for 2, 3 seconds
you havecan watch it melt even after you disengage the batt.
Now the shit won't move and you have 2 to 4 excellent hits stored in the screen.
The only prob. is the hits are so harsh that a water path is necessary, for me at least.
I tried to use the vapolution barrel which cooled the hit , but I still coughed.
Could be the type of concentrate...... I'm blitzed.

I must now approach the forum with tail between legs, revealing my ignorance.

My tale. Because my friend is prone to finding hits a little irritating, I ventured into the waterpipe market (of which I have zero experience) first picking up Magic Flight's water pipe adaptor then scratching my head while perusing pictures of waterpipes on the internet. All I knew was I needed a 14 mm pipe and I didn't want to spend too much money on one in this experimental stage. When I learned the water level should be just high enough to cover the downstem I noticed the downstem on this cheapy pipe is one-piece with the slide. I referred back to the video on Magic Flight's website and, of course, when they pulled out the slide to finish the hit the downstem stayed put, dipped in the water. Not good.

A little help, ladies and gentlemen. Did I buy too cheap? Was it my responsibility to let the salesperson know I need one with separate components? Is there a workaround so I can make this thing work? Surely it can't be too hard.

The wpa comes apart and becomes a whip. You might be able to put the whip end into the slide. Pics/links of the piece?

You should be fine. Let it dry out completely. The electronics inside aren't complicated enough to be damaged by water. It's literally just two stiff wires with the screen affixed between them. Just do everything you can to dry it so the wood doesn't get funky.

I've had the MFLB for over 3 years now, but have only used it about 5 times and that was when I first got it 3 years ago. The reason that it hasn't been used in all this time was that I just didn't like it. It made me cough no matter how small of a hit I took. I didn't like the taste. My lungs didn't like it and the hits just didn't produce the desired result. I watched every vid and read almost every suggestion, including those on Wiki on how to hit this thing, but for me, it never worked well enough for me to want to use it again. As a matter of fact, in the thread titled "Best and worst vaporizer purchases", I listed the Box as my worst.

Fast forward to about 7 days ago. One of my sons came to visit me from San Diego and has spent about 7 days with me, crashing on the couch. I gifted him a Purple Days a few years ago but he left it at home so I thought, fuck it, I'm gonna recharge the batts and give it to him to use while he's here while at the same time, get a chance to try out the new finishing grinder that I won in a contest about 6 months ago. The only reason that I kept the Box for as long as I have was as a back up in case my LSV died.

So after a bit of training (of which in the past, never worked for me), I gave him the box to try. First try and he produced some very light vapor clouds and he liked it a lot. Passed the box to me. I thought, ok, I'm gonna give this another shot and lo and behold.................no coughing, nice taste, small wispy vapor clouds, but.............I got ripped but here's an even bigger surprise. Using the exact same bud that I have been using in my LSV, the bud put through the Box got me high almost instantly whereas the LSV with the HUGE vapor clouds took about 10 minutes to reach full effect. Why that is, I have no idea. Also, the high wasn't near as stoney but equally as high, which probably has to do with the temp differences.

What I really liked about it, besides the instant high and the less couch-lock high, was the ease of use as compared to my LSV. Put finishing grinder on Box. Grind goes directly into vape from grinder. Insert battery..........hit. Shake............hit again..............shake...........hit again. Easy peesy. No messing with an AC cord, glass parts, bowls, bongs, transfer wands, stirring tools, waiting for heat up, etc etc.

Now I have no idea why it is so much pleasurable to use than what it was when I first got it. Maybe it's because of the super fine grind that the finishing grinder provided, or that the batteries are holding a bit of a weaker charge being that they are almost 3 years old, but whatever it is, the Box is no longer on my list of worst purchases. I haven't used the LSV for about a week since my son's been here and have just been hitting the Box and loving it. Do I miss the clouds? Yeah, kinda, but for now...........this is a really nice change of pace.

lwien welcome to the wonderful world of Magic Flight. Maybe it was just time to mix it up after a few years using the LSV, the change to a conduction is a change to the head. A long slow draw breathing through my nose hitting native always pulls the biggest Vapor from the little box for me.

Now we Just have to get a Vapir NO2 in your hands.

I think you just stumbled upon your perfect way to hit it.

Back when I got my mflb, I almost gave up on it and had actually shelved it. Then I decided to give it another go and not give up.

I can now blow pretty damn big clouds with it and am very happy.

Does Magic Flight still sell the Bubbler? I don't see it on their site.

Or is there a better/cheaper option out there? The MFLB makes me cough like crazy, as does smoking. So I'm looking for a way to cool the vapor in the hopes that will fix it.
