Cannabis Chai Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

Chai tea base (can be found at Walmart)
1 cup soy milk
2 chai tea bags
1/2 cup sugar
1 can whipped cream
3 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup of cannabis

Directions:

Break up the weed first. You don’t need a coffee grinder for this necessarily. Using your fingers will work fine. Carefully open the tea bags that you have ready and add in the weed. Reclose the bags by stapling them shut. In a pan on the stove, bring the water and soy milk to a boil and add about 1/2 cup of whipped cream in to the mix, letting it melt completely. Toss in the two teabags and let the whole mix sit on the stove for about 25 minutes.

Take the chai tea base and follow the instructions on the box. In place of the milk that the recipe calls for, use the weed/soy milk mix instead. This is the final step and will give you a nice, warming chai weed tea that you will absolutely enjoy! You can add more soy milk if you’d like, as well as ice and sugar. Remember to always know how cannabis effects you when ingesting it, as the effects different from smoking! Enjoy your chai!

Vicki with the badass recipes in the house! Happen to have a recommendation for ABV using this recipe?

I haven't done it, but you probably could sub ABV. Taste and potency would depend on how vaped the ABV is, of course.

Well I don't have any milk of the soy variety but honestly I was just wondering if there was a specific reason.

Sounds delicious - I absolutely adore chai - thanks for sharing!

@Vicki - we don't have Walmart here in the UK - what exactly is a chai base please? I drink tea-free chai infusions and chai tea - but have never heard of that ......

Chai base is simply liquid Chai Tea(in a box usually) That you warm on the stove or in the microwave instead of brewing.

Also, I think the Soy milk is for the flavor. Many people who are not vegans still prefer the taste of soy milk in their Chai for some reason.

No worries. I have really started to enjoy Chai over the last year or so.

Actually, you can alter that recipe except for the whipped cream(for the fat)to taste. I would eliminate the sugar completely and substitute Vanilla Soy. That combined with the sweetness of the cream should be more than sweet enough. Of course if someone likes theirs sweet, then keep it the same.

Edit: Also, thanks for the recipe. I'm actually going to make it today or tomorrow. I would never have thought of infusing Chai with MJ.

So, I made this a little while ago with some easy to follow mods.

I don't eat dairy, so I substituted Cocoa Butter for the whip cream(you only need it for the fat), cooked the weed and cocoa butter together tightly covered in an 200deg oven. Omitted the sugar and made everything else the same.

Tasted good, despite the oilyness of the cocoa butter(I think whipped/heavy cream would have done the same), with very fast onset for edibles. I like it.

I would imagine this would be good with Almond milk (for those of us that avoid liquid dairy, and who also cannot do Soy)... I had an almond milk chai at an espresso stand which was amazing. I make things at home usually using coconut milk, and that is great with chai, also.

Haha, yeah I actually used almond milk. Just didn't bother to clarify that in the post.

Also, coconut milk has quite a bit of fat as a thc carrier. Would probably work great for this.

Yeah, I'm pretty deep into a nice edible buzz right now. When it works, edibles are great, even slightly better than vaping imo. Dosing is just always a bitch for me.
