well I tried one and didn't notice much effect. I think I had a nice relaxing feeling for like the first 20 seconds. but yeah right now I'm just sitting at home. I need to take it in a setting where I know I experience anxiety. Then I will be able to tell if I feel different then usual.

Look Into My Eyes
Just read this whole thread.

So from what i believe i know (may be wrong, maybe), I believe the US gov holds a patent on CBD for medicinal benefit. This could be wrong but im pretty sure i saw the patent somewhere along the medicinal journey. If that is the case then all these companies producing CBD products may be infringing on the gov's patent. With that they may get in trouble. This is all from what i THINK i remember seeing.

REGARDLESS,

I did see this site... HERRRRREE

They have 18% pure, but holy moly. 10.5 grams of 18% CBD oil for $650. DAMN. Period. Thats expensive. This is like a monopoly. How are they producing this?!?!

anyways. It would be interesting to see how it works for anxiety, muscle spasm and pain. For the person who wrote about PCOS, how did your girlfriend feel about it? Think it worked? Hopefully so, id like the wife to try it for that as well.

From what i know CBD is great for anti-anxiety, anti-tumoric, Anti-cancerous, anti-spastic, anti-psychotic, and ?anti-inflammatory? I believe anti-inflammatory, as it was spoken of to use for Alzheimer patients to keep brain swelling down.

Has a doctor been consulted with their opinions of long term use effects? I doubt high levels of CBD exposure have been common place EVER as it hasnt been concentrated and use daily by many until now. This new exposure could open knew info about CBD, atleast hemp derived CBD.

Great Scott!
I'd LOVE to try one of those RSHO tubes but I can't afford the $650 to see if it works for my inflammatory auto-immune disease which is currently 100% uncontrolled by medications. I'm really hurting. I've just made a small batch of "rick simpson oil" from 3g of bud using everclear as a solvent. Tried a smudge on a capsule last night and noticed no effects at all, but I was purposely starting so low because edibles and me don't get along. I'm trying to get a .01 scale for cheap so I can weigh doses more accurately and avoid overdoing or under doing the RSO. I need SOMETHING to help at this point, my inflammation is ruining my life.

Does canchew only come in mint flavoured? Mint aggravates my heartburn.

Oh well I guess I'll give the 2oz 500mg dew drops a try for my anxiety

So I hate to cast doubt on what seems like a good product but I found reference to this when I was googling around looking to purchase. The claims seem legit, and if this is the case, how hard is it to make your own CBD oil from vaped stuff? I have found I really just need the effects of CBDs to deal with my anxiety and still be able to think clearly. Mostly since running out of bud I have been vaping my old stuff at a higher heat and while it doesn't get you as high, the therapeutic effects are still there.

Tamar Wise, the former head of science for Dixie Botanicals, has called out the entire cannabidiol products industry as well as her former employer.

In a post on her Facebook page, Wise said CBD-based products are made from “crude and dirty hemp paste” that is contaminated with microbial life, residual solvents and other toxins. The post is no longer on her page.

“I’m tired of so called CBD companies claiming that what they provide is medicine. Anyone using a CBD from hemp product please be aware of what you’re actually getting b/c it is not what you think,” Wise wrote on her Facebook page, which was quickly copied and re-posted on several other pages of those with an interest in the marijuana industry.

“What these companies are doing is criminal and dangerous…and since I formulated most of these products as head of Dixie science, I feel responsible for spreading the truth.”

In an email, Wise confirmed she wrote the post but declined further comment.

Oh wow. Lets hope that is a bitter ex-employee, and not the truth! Either way something like that shouldn't be deleted until it is a verified lie. Too bad DIY cbd extraction from cannabis isn't very simple.

I just got this email from Dixie Botanicals:

PRESS RELEASE

Product Quality and Efficacy Clarification
Dixie Botanicals, Denver CO – November 26, 2013

It has come to our attention that Dixie’s former head of science has recently made several salacious accusations about the quality and efficacy of our Dixie Botanicals Cannabidiol (CBD) Hemp Oil Wellness product. While typically, we would not respond to any unfounded allegations, we felt that we needed to speak up. These blatantly false comments are causing fear and ultimately harm to the thousands of people who every day benefit from Dixie Botanical’s products.

Dixie Botanical’s prides itself on the quality and efficacy of our products. We use the highest quality raw material and rigorously test each batch of our products to ensure that they meet the highest standards. All of our products are designed to meet FDA ingredient and labeling compliance and we obtain Certificate of Analysis (CoA) on each batch of raw material to ensure that it is clean of any microbials or solvents, and is high in hemp-based CBD.

We are shocked by Ms. Wise’s allegations that we do not thoroughly test our products as she was responsible for and oversaw these efforts during her tenure as Dixie’s Head of Science from July 5th, 2011 to August 2nd, 2013. To suggest that we use bad product is not only an indictment of the Company, but of Ms. Wise herself and her own scientific practices. To prove the point, we have published test results, including microbial tests, CoA confirmation tests, and product test from the later part of Ms. Wise’s tenure. Needless to say, all raw materials and final product passed our rigorous testing procedures. To view these, please go to DixieBotanicals.com/lab-certified-quality/.

Ms. Wise and members of her Science team resigned after a dispute with the Company. They believed they were entitled to ownership of intellectual property that was created while they were paid employees of the Company. Clearly, we disagreed since we believed this was part of their job description and we funded their entire research. We accepted their resignation and quickly filled the Head of Science position with Shellene Suemori, a Cellular and Molecular Biologist who has worked on several NASA funded projects. She continues to bring Dixie Botanicals and the science behind our products to the next level.

Dixie Botanical is disappointed in Ms. Wise and her tactics. We understand that she and the other employees that resigned are embarking on a new endeavor called Big Hemp, a company that will compete directly with Dixie Botanicals. This clarifies, in our mind, the objectives of Ms. Wise’s remarks and makes it even more apparent that her motives are less than genuine.

We have no ill feelings towards Ms. Wise and no interest in fighting with former employees - this industry is too small and our mission too big. However, we do have a responsibility to our investors, our employees and most importantly, our customers to not allow the actions of a disgruntled individual harm the hard work of our team.

We hope this is the end of this story. If not, we are prepared to resort to any and all legal remedies at our disposal to protect the integrity of our company and ensure our customers trust the high standards to which we measure ourselves.

For more information, please contact Christie Lunsford at clunsford@dixiebotanicals.com.

Thank you,
The Dixie Botanicals Team

I believe its really the same company, but not 100% sure.

The gum did help me with anxiety, but not my pain. The same is true of the tincture, but I prefer the gum. Stronger and easier to use IMO. I didn't "feel" anything, but I did notice less anxiety overall pretty consistently.

IMO impossible. I panic with edibles myself. The cbd tincture has NO conscious altering effects. As in mentally you will feel the exact same. There is no noticeable sensation that would cause any worry IMO.

I can't handle edibles!
Freaks me out!

High CBD with some THC is comforting to vape!

There is a push for strains with high % of CBD and very little % THC.

Where the providers miss the mark is balance?
For example:
THC = 20%
CBD = 10%
CBN = 2%

What I do to achieve this fomula is mix my strains.

Take a High % THC and mix it with a High % CBD to make my own medicine.

PURE GOLD gives me a splitting headache!
TERA LABS is so high tech!
Why don't they manufacture a Synergistic Cannabis Medicine?

I'm with you guys on the edibles. I had a bad cookie ride about a month ago, well not too bad just knocked me off my feet and lasted about 12 hours.
Ive found my CBD tinc more effective for pain when I have a small vape to get some a THC.
But tomorrow I'm going to mix some regular tinc containing THC in with the CBD tinc. I've no idea how to work the dosage so I will just experiment.
But I will post again in a few days when I've got some results.

I'm trying to find a balance too that works. I've got some flowers on order that are 8% a CBD and 4% THC. Am so looking forward to the result.
I've been mixing a salad of Big Bang about 25% and 75% of flowers that have already been vaped- this mix works great for me for pain relief as I have rheumatoid arthritis but particularly suffer with my neck and thoracic spine.

Ok, I hope this info can be of use to anyone looking to buy some CBD drops. For the money, my opinion is don't bother. They are ok to have as complimentary to something with THC in it, the effect it gives is a micro indica style kick.
As far as if these drops help with pain management I'd say no, and I've come to that conclusion with using the drops at a small and large dose daily and multipule times daily either on their own or with a spliff, vape or THC tinc.
The drops do give a tiny kick also to opiates, but nothing that I would consider medically worth the bother for pain control.
I'd rate these drops 2/10...

All my days in a daze...
@Campers Crumpet, doh! sorry to hear you've found these drops to be of such little use.

I have some on the way, and I'm very curious to give them a try.
I'm just looking for something to supplement my vaping... give me a more CDB to help with anxiety etc.

I see you're in Oz also, so you obviously know how expensive it is to get this stuff landed here through reshipping, exchange rate, etc.... so that means the expectations are high... what I see happening is that they will help me a little but not enough to justify the rather large costs.

I'm probably better off having my med supplier look into high CBD strains and processing the oil himself.

I am looking forward to your opinion of the drops, also I'm hoping you don't lose them at the border. I was worried mine might not even get here.
Please keep us posted how you find them to be.
I hope that you can access a high cbd strain and or get some oil or tincture.
I love the tincture because it's portable and you can medicate almost anywhere in stealth, and because the tinc I use is made on alcohol rather than glycerine it gets into your system super fast.
I was in the cinemas a few days ago and needed a few drops for pain, so easy.
Best wishes and merry Xmas

I just now received in the post a letter regarding my second bottle of CBD drops from USA. They were seized by customs and border protection when they came into the country.
I called and spoke to an officer at customs and explained truthfully that I purchased the drops with the understanding they were THC free and for medical purposes, basically the dogs picked up the scent of hemp and the drops were seized but not tested for THC content.
Really it could be argued that it is derived from hemp not cannabis, just as many fabrics or food containing hemp oil.
I presume that the big hemp leaf on the bottle didn't help the situation.
Personally I don't care I've lost the drops (I still have some left) and I don't really think they work for pain management anyway.
But my point is if your in Australia, even though this is a legal product as it's a hemp product, customs and border protection won't differentiate between hemp and cannabis or THC free medication and a nice fat rolley.
@dorkus_molorkus - yup, further discussions in the bat cave later in the week.
@canj00digit? -did you receive yours and how is it ?

@canj00digit? -did you receive yours and how is it ?

Damn that fucking sucks that your 2nd bottle was seized, mate.
That's not a small loss. Bastards.

It shows you it's kind of luck of the draw I guess because I just received mine just fine today.

I just took my first dose about 30min ago.

I'm taking the drops to relieve anxiety mostly so I will speak only to that, and in that regards so far I'm quite pleased with them. Now, I've had a particularly anxious morning so any relief they've offered is perhaps slightly magnified, if that makes any sense. They've certainly taken the top edge off of my current anxiety. But whether they are able to lower my 'normal' anxiety levels I don't know yet.
And how effective they remain over time will be interesting to see.

My wife will also be using the drops, in her case to treat chronic pain. So I will report back her results in that regard. We don't expect a large amount of pain relief, at this point she'll take any relief offered over her (rather useless and toxic) synthetic opiates prescribed by the doctor.

Actually, we started making ISO oil from ABV and dabbing it and that has helped her treat her pain more effectively than any pharma she's ever been on. So the drops will be just be yet a bit more added CBDs to the mix.

canj00digit?

All my days in a daze...
Received my second shipment of CBD drops a few days ago.
2x bottles of the 500mg Dew Drops.
All went fine, customs even opened and inspected the package.
Hell, the package even openly listed them as 'Dew Drops Hemp Oil' on the customs declaration!
So why other Aussies have had their drops seized I don't understand. :ugh:

This time I ordered directly from Life Enthusiast.
I emailed them first asking about their results with sending CBD products into Australia
and they said they've sent a 'number of orders' now with no problems so far.
And with my successful order it seems as though it might be a trend... for them as senders them at least(?)
So, @Campers Crumpet, and others Aussies, if you're trying to get CBD products in the country successfully might want to give that shop a try.

I just wanted to let people know that chewing this gum after vaping does change my high and makes it much more enjoyable. I was able to try it out only 3 times. I used the rest of my pack sober because I was waiting on my evo. As soon as I have money I plan on ordering more

tonio145,
I decided to head over to a local collective tomorrow and pick up a bottle of CBD oil, Hempotion brand specifically. I wonder if it would be effective if vaporized? Anyone ever try it?

I've recently been put onto Temazepam for anxiety. After hearing about how useful it was from @canj00digit? I really want to get this instead.

However, $160 USD plus postage is just way, way more money than the $9.90 AUD I pay for 28 tablets of temazepam. I think the Australian government needs to get this on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme quick smart! A lot of people with serious anxiety are in much worse-off financial positions than I am!
