2clicker, I mean no disrespect by the this comment, yes do your research on solvents. The answer is in the power of what Solent you use and how easy it can be removed.

As far as I am concerned Ethenol extraction always tastes like Ethenol extraction. BHO evaporates nearly clean depending on the process.

none taken. research i will do. can you point me in an accurate direction or should i just start googling shit? thanks GR.

my thoughts on a quick wash ethanol extraction comes from the the skunkpharm stuff...

"A cured material QWET absolute is one of the most aromatic and tasty of the extraction methods and consistently gets high raves from the volunteer test panels, as well as the patients and students. Both from an efficacy, as well as a flavor standpoint."

that and my experience from using their tech. but now im really considering getting a full liquidizer kit now... :uhoh: i have no idea where i will use it though. im in the city and my neighbors are close. not a lot of space.

i just wanted to say that i have been using my mix a lot lately. especially in situations where i would never dare medicate before.

its so slealth that even the heads i tell straight up dont believe me... that is until they take a nice pull for themselves.

i cannot stress enough how amazing the ejmix is.

Been using the mix for about a week now, a little harsh but I like it better than VG. I have some black trails starting to creep up my mini protank 2 inside the tank, can I assume this is just gunk coming off of the wick on the bottom of the cart? So far it is not affecting taste, this blackberry kush mix I made is delicious. Keep up the good work Liquidizer!

I am stoked to try out this liquid! I can't tell you guys how many times I've been frustrated by how messy loading wax into the vape pens can be... like when you just get done cleaning the threads and it bubbles up and completely ruins your hard work!

Or worse, when you fumble a wax container and it spills everywhere

So yeah... ready for liquid convenience!

JKA, you are going to love it i think. just dont expect it to be comparable to doing dabs. its a different animal. dont get me wrong you can make damn potent mix, but its still different than dabbing. where it shines is discreet medicating.

when i do oil runs i usually only use half of it for liquid. the other half for dabbing.

So does the mix have a kind of "burnt out cart" kind of taste, or did I roast my first cart?
:D

hmmm... i dont vape nic liquids to compare so ejmix is basically all ive ever really had. it doesnt taste burnt to me until i burn a wick. actually the ejmix to me tastes a bit sweet. its subtle, but its there.

what kind of carts are you using?

I'm using the GotVapes sapphire carts, that first hit I just forgot to put the plug back in the tank :D

Now that I got it assembled right it tastes a bit better, but I think my think my thick syrup-like mix is just too much for the cart to feed right, maybe I should try thinning to a gravy-like consistency?

what was your ratio?

Just eyeballing amounts under a gram for testing purposes, I would say my initial mix was 70/30 oil to juice, and I ended up thinning it to about 50/50.

The vapor is now consistent but never gets quite as thick/white as an oil pen or how ecigs look in videos, just a medium vapor. Not complaining effect-wise, but can you blow ecig-like clouds with your mix?

yes i can but that has to do with the atty/coil/cell combo. one of my rigs is a fog machine while the other is less. still lroduces well, but its an eGo pen so not as much ass behind it.

I created my second batch of mix over the holidays. I used 1.5g of some Skywalker OG shatter (purchased locally). I didn't really like the flavor of it, so I decided it would be a good candidate for a mix with flavor added.

My final recipe was:
1.5g shatter
50 drops of EJmix
10 drops of chocolate-cherry no-nic flavored juice :\.

I think that's something like 55%/45% oil to juice ratio roughly (I went more by the thickness and added drops in 10 drop batches while mixing in between. What sucked is I managed to get water in it while heating double boiler style with a beaker/pyrex measuring cup. I cursed up and down, but then I regained sanity. I rolled a bit of paper towel to make a wick and wicked out most of the water quite easily as it doesn't mix with the oil. The remaining droplets were tiny and I figured I would lose too much oil trying to get them out. I did manage to get out 95% of the water and only lose about 10% of my mix (it sucked though).

The dark mix is sitting in a Kanger mini pro tank 2:

It has been feeding well and is fairly potent (good for a light level of medication through the day). As to the flavor, the OG is much mellower, and it does have a very slight chocolaty aftertaste which complements the ever so slightly sweet flavor of the ejMix which @2clicker mentioned. I like it.

Do you (or anyone) know of a reasonably priced battery that will fit a mini protank that will produce more volume of vapor than a cheap atmos optimus x battery? It produces ok but I want more of a fog machine to run through glass.

What would be the reason for using a proprietary liquid mix like ejmix, if mixing your oil over gentle heat with an appropriate amount of propylene glycol is enough? seems as though the solution only separates if using vegetable glycerin. Skunkpharm posted up great success using a homogenizer to prevent the solution from seperating.

i wouldnt call ejmix proprietary. it can be used in any ecig really. from my research i have found that a PG mix will still eventually separate. of course that could be wrong. i havent read the skunkpharm article on the subject. can you link us to it?

ejmix does exactly what it says it does. so it is proven and for that i will continue to use it. if the skunkpharm tech does indeed work then i suppose ill have to look into it.

i have a feeling that there are going to be more and more products popping up that will allow for oil use in ecig gear.

there is more to it than just the cell pushing it. you wanna match the cell to the proper ohm coil for your desired vapor production. for me so far a 3.7v cell (18650 or 18350) and a 1.5-1.8 ohm coil is magic. i could def get more production with a lower ohm coil but my current setup produces plenty.

the mod/battery could make a difference. i use mechanical mods with 18350s most of the time. if i go somewhere where a me h mod might get some looks i use an eGo.

you can find mech mods with eGo threads (needed for PT2mini). look at k100 or k101. they can be found online right now for around $20-30.

Is Vac purging necessarry when making 50/50 ejuice? IE does all the butane evaporate at that viscosity?

Hey all, I have been lurking around for a minute...and have read the 26 pages of this thread several times over;)

I've been looking for an ejuice solution for sometime, and this seems to be it!

I appreciate the discussions, they have been super informative...I ordered a bottle of EJvape, and can't wait to test it out!!

Since a lot of the thread is dated several months, I am curious what ratios everyone has settled in on? Particularly for vaping in Protanks, without it being too thick?

Also, has anyone blended EJvape with a crumble consistency wax? I've seen tons of chat about shatter etc, but no mention of crumble...

Thanks again, and look forward to sharing my experience once my juice arrives!:)

Warm heat should bring your crumble back to an oily consistency. I've had runs turn into budder right away and then some heat has brought them back to clear shatter. Gentle heat + mixing should do it for ya.

Awesome, I figured it would be a no brainer but nothing beats the words of experience!

Thanks for the reply.

i want to add one thing to this. i have found that warming the ejmix and then adding the oil is the way to go. i did it the opposite the first time and the shatter sort of stuck the bottom of the beaker and i really had to stir it extra long for it to mix. when warming the mix first the oil mixes much faster.

Awesome tip. I experienced the same when I did my shatter batch, it took a lot of mixing to get it dissolved. I'll try pre-heating the ejMix next time, then add the shatter/wax.

I just got 2g of a nice Emperor's Cut budder along with some 192 proof grain alcohol. My plan is to winterize it and turn it into ejuice. Now I just need to find some time when prying eyes won't be looking in the freezer for snacks.
