Discontinued The Herbalizer

O.k someone help I tried to understand the fascination with this vape other than the fact its space age. What is the special thing about this one? I'm not being funny at all I already have one $600 vape on the way. I'm in my V.A.S just trying to see why this one is special with the special price tag?

If the hose is the same size as the ssv's it should be easy enough.
The whip is actually quite a bit narrower than the SSV tubing. However I am pretty sure the most water pipe adapters can be easily hooked up to the Herbie whip. I managed to rig one up pretty quickly using a basic 18mm GonG adapter.

I'd like to find a 14mm right-angle one so I could use a mini-hydrotube, microphone-style :science:

  • Instant heat up
  • Precise temperature control
  • Light bulb heat source
For starters

The fascination ISN'T about it being "space age."

The fascination is *PRECISE* digital temperature control. This is a new level of precise. I've been in the lab watching temp tests on this, and what I saw was more narrow than even what their specs say.

With precision, you can target EXACTLY the medication you are after.

There there are other things like the bag fill (assisted airpath), aromatherapy, clean heat/light source, instant on, etc, etc.

No you can't. The best you can do is bias the vapour. To avoid a de-rail, here's a link to my explanation why.

Alright. Fair enough. I'll reply in that thread tomorrow.

But in my defense, I *CLEARLY* said "target" and *not* "hit". (one term connotes intent, the other outcome. There is a difference.) I realize that there are multiple variables, some environmental. That's why my choice of terms was as such....

Oh... cool!

Looks like someone managed to capture elves hard at work on some presents for some of the good folk here at FC [If that isn't your tradition, than please substitute terms/labels accordingly.]:

EDIT:
From the captions, one of the take-aways is that each device is individually calibrated. Very nice.

Any 'other' source to view ?

Yeah... yeah... I know. I know.

I keep a VM with a unique instal and only one browser that is behind over 9000 proxies for this kind of stuff. Makes it a pain to hit FB, but also a pain for them to hit me. :p

How is this?

For those who have tried the Herbalizer:
How tough does the unit seem?
Do you think it would survive drops onto a hardwood floor?

I have a family member with nerve damage that may cause him to drop things sometimes. This has prevented me from buying him either of my personal favorites. (Sublimator/Cloud)

Darb,

I would think there shld be no need to lift or move it around being a plug in, and if transporting I believe it comes with a case of sorts if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: OOPS hit the enter button before I was done hehe... I wanted to add: but it would b good to know as I'm in the same 'hardwood' setting ;)

@Slightly Medicated posted about some drop testing that he did.

The Herbalizer engineers have experience building stuff that goes into space, and I know they worked hard to make this vape as solid and reliable as possible all things considered. That said, I wouldn't plan on using it in situations where it's likely to be dropped or banged around. It is a $700 electronic device after all. Drop your smart phone or your camera and there's always a chance something will break. :2c:

I can say that it's one of the most stable desktop vapes that I've used. The removable power cord helps too. :)

I can't wait till you folks get your units, I'm super excited to hear some member feedback on this vape. The bar has been raised pretty high here in my opinion.

Can somebody tell me if the air path is absolutely free from electronic (from fresh air to my mouth not only the vapor path) ?

I posted a status update in the shipping discussion thread. Please keep that line of discussion in that thread, I'm just sharing it here for those who may miss it.

@Grange Goreman It's a vape with a forced air option, and there is a fan on the intake side, and also a temp sensor in airstream to facilitate the high resolution temperature control. Electronics as in circuit boards are separate from the air path as I understand it.

Thanks @vtac !

I'm already convinced by halogenic power concerning vaporizers because of my Venus and I really would like to see pictures of what's going on into this device …..

Now THIS is how a vaporizer should be.

I'm going to keep this somewhat brief due to time constraints...

The packaging: professional, classy. For once it feels like I'm opening a high quality, high price item. The carrying handle is a big plus, making this a box worth keeping in top condition.

Heat up time: 9 seconds from off to max (445F). Are you kidding me? The single most impressive thing I've witnessed in a desktop vaporizer.

Vaportherapy: Loaded .2 into the bowl and went straight to 445F because I require high temp vapor. Smoooooth and flavorful. The whip length really allows for the vapor to cool down and the flavor is strong and pure. Hitting it through glass is almost a joke. It's like breathing air. And with the fan assist, all you have to do is get the perc going and Herbie does the rest. Effortless hits every time. And I'm not sure how or why, but .2 out of the Herbalizer has me feeling much more medicated than .2 out of the Cloud, my former daily driver.

Aromatherapy: It works, and it works well. I tried out a little bit of the included essential oil blend. Just a few drops onto one of the pads, closed the lid, and the fan took off. For anyone interested in exploring aromatherapy this is a good device to check out. Hassle free, easy diffusion.

To summarize, the Cloud was my daily driver for almost 2 years and I just let my friend take it on his way out the door.
