It can also be used without the fan if I remember correctly....
You do. :)

If you're interested in this vape and/or the cutting edge of technology in this industry I strongly suggest that you take the time to read through this thread. This is not yet another wannabe digitally controlled vape. This vape is revolutionary in more than one way, and I don't use that word often here - only one other instance that I can think of. If I was to do the unthinkable and limit myself to only 2 vapes, this would be one of them. Watch this thread. ;)

that spec sheet stated temp accuracy to +/- 3 degrees Celsius...I thought it was tighter than that (not that it needs to be)?

And I love the term 'mezzanine storage'! Does that mean I have to leave it in the warehouse?

what's different about this version as opposed to the standard one that will retail later? this one is being referred to as a "Limited Release Herbie" is there any difference?
I believe the limited release has an extraterrestrial warranty that will be honored under the harshest conditions, and.. for a very long time.

This vape can only be used with the fan on, correct?
...
No, the fan can be shut off.
When using whip you can use it with fan off OR fan assist.

I love the term too.
It was my favorite movie theater seating as a kid!

I fully understand what you are saying here. But which would the other one be brother?

There are some custom graphics when you start it up that say limited edition... not sure what else.

Ty for the info on what the difference is on the limited edition one vs retail.

So I just wanted to ask you guys who have been lucky enough to try this bad boy out already a few questions to kind of summarize how this one performs.

1. is the thickness of vapor say to what we expect from a sub/evo at the same level here?
2. is the flavour there too?
3. does the different (and by this I mean accuracy of the level it maintains a steady temp at) temps really make a noticeable difference in the end result of the effects? This is the main benefit of which this vape offers over all others right? Do you see this being a real things here?
4. Heat up time is advertized at 17 seconds. This is true? for example the Evo is ready to go in 2 or 3 min. but really... its better to wait 10 min still even if the light tells you it's ready to go. not so with the herbalizer?

5. Do you feel the price of this device is worth it for what we are getting?

from what I have read this is really a device that seems to deliver and many very respected members on here are giving this a lot of credit. I'm just afraid of making what will be the most expensive vape investment I have ever done! I'm also in for the FC discount, so being on the fence sucks because I don't want to potentially miss out on that deal!

Thanks guys I know these have been asked before but if you guys would be so kind as to reply we can have them all in one place!

I remember talking to Bob and he said they officially claim accuracy of +\- 5 degrees F, but in reality it does perform better than that. Guess they wanted to give themselves a bit of a buffer

1-I was able to get as thick a visual vapor production with the Herbalizer as I was with my cCloud, but without the waiting or basket cleanup! Indeed My SSV can give me thicker hits than the Cloud did, if used well... and the Herbie was able to outdo that.
2- The flavor was clean and remarkably distinct. The vaporizer did not add any essence to whatever strain I was using.
3-I found the temperature to be very accurate...
I could stop getting vapor and go up a degree or two and get vapor anew.
Yes, different temperatures do have quite different attributes where the effects are concerned
4- The only thing inaccurate here is the 17 seconds.
My Herbie was ALWAYS ready and at full steam in 10 seconds. Not any longer.
There was no farther time to wait for optimal performance... that was it!
5-Comparing the Herbalizer to other vapes on the market, I feel like the cost is a fair one.
This technology is different. My Herbie has been gone about a month, and it feels like a year...
I have missed using it immensely.

I can't compare it to the Sub or Evo but the vapor was thick and didn't leave me desiring more. Flavor was definitely there, in bags and whip. Fantastic, actually. Yes, having different temperatures is nice, I felt like the accuracy was there (different strains were tried). A bag blown at 345-360 was not whispy but the bag was evenly filled with a light tasty mist. Here's one we did at a higher temperature. No coughing :)

Heat-up time was closer to 12 seconds from what I remember. You basically end up waiting longer for the bag to fill up than you do anything else. You could open it, turn it on, load the chamber, put the whip on, and it would be ready before you. Vito posted a video of it some pages back going from off to blowing thick vapor.

It does really well w/ the bags IMO.. and I liked that Squeezy valve.. The flavor is nice too, I didn't notice any problems there.. The temperature seemed very accurate w/ a fast response.. Adjusting the temp while filling bags gave a good visual demonstration of that. It heats up really fast too.

I've followed this thread for a long time and this vape is the one that yells at my inner gEEk. I wish I could afford this and if I were single I could. The one thing that concerns me, and it really is just me, is that with some vapes I lose my sense of taste and I don't know why. I have not tried a lot of vapes but the EQ causes me to lose it all the time. I suspect something about the ceramic heater affects me but it could be something else. The cloud has been really good for me in that most of the time I keep my taste and sometimes it is even enhanced. Even with the cloud though I have had situation where my sense of taste goes away. I can tell something is sweet and/or salty but I could not tell the difference between vanilla and chocolate ice cream.

I don't know if this vape would affect me that way or not. I hope my neighbor buys one.

First, before vaping, take a sip of fruit juice to coat your tongue, throat and palette. Next, when drawing in, be sure to flatten your tongue down and out of the way for a clear shot for the vapor to aim to the throat. Then, to test whether taste senses are still intact, rinse mouth out with water, then munch. See what happens.

I will try that out once. So essentially you are blocking your taste buds from any vapor or hot air contact or at least reducing the contact? Does anyone else have any suggestion? The best way to verify this is to use my EQ with a bag because that always makes me lose all sense of taste. It also blasts me the most. I wish I knew why I was sensitive to this. On a side note I've lost about 25 lbs without meaning to ever since I started my herbal habit. I attribute some of this weight loss to the herb. It helps me out.

Just to add ,
your sense of smell has a lot of effect on your tasting ability .
I also think your taste buds were coated with THC , as you mentioned .

I'm gonna sit back and see what the reviews say on this one. looks really interesting, but I'm not sure this is the vape for me. I think once we have some reviews on the final product we will see a clearer picture.

from what I gather though this thing really sets the bar for appearing more like a medical device than your typical vaporizers do. as for being a huge hitter I will wait to see the final reviews. that's the part im most curious about. :)

Does anybody know if Herbalizer is coming out with a GonG adapter? or would an SSV GonG be sufficient?
http://www.vapornation.com/silver-surfer-water-filtration-adapter.html
Just talked to someone at Herbalizer - it will not ship with a GonG. They are working with GravLabs and will probably have them available within 3-6 months. I did not ask about using a different brand GonG - maybe someone that tested a Herbalizer can reply - I would love to use a GonG with mine.
