AEON Glass by jhanpixel

canj00digit?

All my days in a daze...
I see the new Matrix piece is made using Schott glass.
Sweet.
Hopefully the whole line-up eventually is all Schott.
I'd like to try the wubbler.

Jhan, I am very impressed with your glass work, especially after you look at the price tag!

I'm in the market for a new glass piece and would love some advice.

I recently acquired a ThermoVape Cera, and am looking for a nice glass piece to pair with it. I will be using the Cera to vape both flowers and waxes/shatters. I am completely new to the world of quality glass pieces, so I'm a little bit overwhelmed with all the perc/diffuser choices out there.

I'm looking for a smaller sized piece, one that could easily be put on a table or TV tray. I wish to maintain as much flavor as possible. I will mainly be vaporizing flowers and concentrates through it, but I might combust on the rare occasion if friends are over, etc. Combustion will likely account for less then 5% of the usage though, so don't let it factor in too heavily.

From what I've read (and I could easily be wrong!) is that to maintain the best flavor, you want a smaller volume and less diffusion...is that correct?

So far, I've narrowed my choices down to:

65mm Matrix

12 Arm Dewar Bubbler

Circ UFO Side Car Bubbler

I like the look and size of the 12-arm dewar the best, I like that short, squatty look. The Matrix is also appealing to me aesthetically as well. I don't like the side car look that much though, but if it would fit my needs best, I'd definitely consider it.

So what are people's opinions on which piece would be the best for my needs? Is the Matrix too much diffusion for a vaporizer, losing that amazing flavor? Would something else fit my needs better? Hopefully I haven't left out any info that might be necessary for a recommendation.

Any and all opinions are appreciated, thanks!

the 12 tree is a bit dated a more fragile than the rest for sure.

i will be releasing a newer 22 arm model in the next few weeks.

the showerhead will meet your needs but if the sidecar doesnt suit your fancy i have a double showerhead bubb - i think that might work out better for vaping - its got a 2nd perc chamber in the mouthpiece

Jhan you are killing it! Keep em coming and great work. I have similar tastes like Roth posted about digging the short squatty look. I like the look and size of the 12-arm dewar as well.

Is it possible for your to make a Matrix in Schott the size of the 12-arm while putting in a fat Matrix perc? If so I'll be buying that once it's blown. Basically, just the same everything as the http://www.ioffer.com/i/12-12-arm-bubbler-dewar-seal-joint-water-pipe-528796064

...but add in a chunky matrix perc.

I was looking at the following but the logo is obnoxious and I don't like how thin it looks - particularly the long ass mouthpiece

http://www.just4smokers.com/delta-9-bubbler-with-matrix-perc-stem-and-octopus-decal/

The size of the top Stereo on the Mobius 60 mm stemless would be dope

Steele - the problem with the matrix is that the tubing it is made w/ needs to be a thin wall tubing so i am limited by the sizes that are available - for now the largest thin wall i have is 32x2.2 which is what i am using

it would look really small in a 75x5 can- i can make it regardless but it wouldnt look good

CWITT - no worries man - just watch the video a few times and see if it looks like it meets ur needs if not check out some of the other styles or feel free to make a suggestion

That's straight JHANPIXEL. After viewing the vid a couple more times this Matrix Schott piece is for me :) I've been seeking a little unit to combine with the ol' Pax. I'll do a review once I get it for those folks hesitant on pulling the trigger. Good looks man.

Like when you place the vape on the unit does it lean forward or does it stay steady
I have recently got a cloud, and i can say that both the bubbler and the bong are very steady with the cloud sitting in the joint. I have no problems leaving them paired together sitting on my table, I love the thick wide base on my pieces it keeps the whole setup very steady.
How well do those pieces work with your Solo compared to the PNWT?
Sorry i didn't see this sooner, to answer your question i would say it depends on the circumstances of my usage, if i'm out and about i totally prefer the pinnacle water tube because of it size, but, when I really want to enjoy my vapor, and am at home or a friends house, i will use either the bubbler or the bong, the bong is really my favorite piece i own. All three of my peices pare nicely with my solo, however my bubbler and bongo love pairing with the cloud now... I haven't vaped thu the solo in a few weeks. However if i were to use a solo i would grab my bong as i think it has the best performance with my solo.

Hey guys - Got the Matrix Bubb from Jhanpixel a couple days ago.

I couldn't be happier. I'm no glass head but have owned a few nice name brand tubes in the past... PURE, RooR etc. The Matrix Bubb was larger and thicker than I had imagined. The actual matrix perc was much larger than what I thought when I saw the pictures of it online - this made me very happy. The joints are smooth, thick and even. The only imperfections are genuinely minuscule air bubbles in the top and bottom weld just barely perceptible by the eye. This is the kind of stuff only OCD people would notice or care about and is probably some part of the glass process (like I said I'm not a glass head)

The piece stacks beautifully and clears nearly instantly. I've only been able to try it with combustion thus far as I need to find a rubber boot for my Pax. Even combusting it is super smooth really effortless to pull and clear. It is a perfect daily driver bubbler for sure.

I made this small amateur video with my iPhone 3GS so excuse the crappy quality, my hands moving about etc. Hope it illustrates what it is supposed to and that is the beautiful work Jhan has done and stacking effect of his work.

I just received the piece I ordered from Jhan yesterday :) Only had enough time to quickly combust a bowl in it, but I am very pleased so far!

I ordered one of the UFO sidecars, but Jhan wanted to be a badass and was nice enough to honor my request for a different style mouthpiece/neck. He made it like the mouthpiece/neck on the Matrix piece. I just didn't really like the aesthetics of the side car.

I'm out of town for a few days, so won't be able to give any pics/detailed reviews til after Christmas most likely.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Jhan. Anyone looking for quality work without a massive price tag, Jhan's your man!

Might not be air bubbles.
I noticed a lot of those visual imperfections when jhan first came to FC and asked him about it.

Of course I can't confirm anything, but I was satisfied with his response:
(Hope he doesn't mind this quote snippet)

these actually aren't bubbles they are diamond dust contaminants from our diamond blade saw.

we cut out joints at a 45 degree angle then this leaves behind a very rough edge. we then wash / dry and acid bath the joint before welding onto a tube.

usually 80% of the time it yields very good results and the piece is very clean.

but the other 20% it leaves a small faint line where the 2 pieces of glass were welded together. this doesnt effect the integrity of the piece at all but it does leave much to be desired as far as looks.

Now as far as guarantees are concerning with actual air bubbles which do weaken the integrity of the piece; yes I can guarantee your piece will be free of these types of issues.

Our glass is FAR from perfect and i think that we represent that in our pricing. I'm trying to fill a niche of middle end glass that is both very functional and has high value.

While I'm not fan of the aesthetics either, I figure it would work better with the cloud.

Now you have me intrigued. Been eyeing that piece for awhile, just waiting for the matrix bubbler, but now I'm torn.

Would love to see an image.

@redglassgallery do you have more of those matrix perc bubblers? I'm very interested in getting one.

http://www.ioffer.com/i/hd-65mm-matrix-tire-perc-water-pipe-bubbler-18-8-dewar-559936518

I'd just hit him up at his store. I'm sure he checks it more than this thread.

Just ordered the matrix bubbler. Can't wait to get it!

I want a review when you get it. I'm still unsure of that downstem he added. Wonder if you can get one without.

Sent an offer on iOffer. Hope to hear back. Wasnt sure how that site works though... I see he accepted bids of $175 before, so I offered $170. Not sure if thats lowballing? Dont want to offend anyone, however a 10% FC member discount off of 175 is even lower... dunno what price said discount applies to?

edit: argg... Red Warrior needs a glass piece badly.
