Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but since I only have experience with the Solo I thought it would be good to ask people who also frequently used it.

Without going way too far up in price, is there any other vaporizer worth getting? Arizer Extreme Q? Silver Surfer? I love my Solo, just got the F-bomb and it's pretty awesome, but I also feel like trying something new. A plug-in vape with a larger bowl would definitely be cool, but from what I've read the Solo produces better vapor than most?

That's a subjective question. The Solo would be all some would need, and others may want a more stealthy portable or a bigger hitting home vape.

No such thing as better vapor. Vapor is vapor. Some models are easier to use, some produce more vapor per hit, etc., but better technology doesn't produce better vapor. The Extreme is a good dual mode vape. The Surfer is hard to beat for big, vapor dense hits. It all depends on what aspect you're looking to improve.

Thanks for moving my post, sorry for posting in the wrong place.

I guess you couldn't really say better vapor, true. I guess what I'm looking for is efficiency and large hits. And like I said, a larger 'bowl' would be nice. The Solo-stem fits ~0.15g I'd guess, some say 0.1 and some say 0.2. Does The Silver Surfer fit more than that?

Could the Plenty vaporizer be a good choice? Volcano is a tad bit expensive for me, but the Plenty isn't completely out of reach and seems like it could be good.

You must be a rich guy?

Inexpensive however effective:

If your are seeking power just get a LSV or a SSV

If your seeking Flavor first get a log vape like a NANO or HI

Or just add a PA to your SOLO

Hehe, if I was rich I think I'd get a Sublimator. :D

Got a PA for my Solo and it's nice, but I would love to try something new. Unless getting something new wouldn't be much of an upgrade or have much difference.

A very good choice.

Most powerful!

I get so medicated with my LSV there is no way I could handle more!

The SUBLIMATOR I want however I don't think I could handle it!
Typically, efficiency and large hits can't occupy the same space at the same time. (Visions of my old physics classes....lol)

I think the vaporizer that comes closest to FLAVOR and POWER would have to be the LSV with a WATER PATH.

I can't handle the device for more than a session.
Whereas the NANO or VAPOUTION I can have many sessions and maintain.
The SOLO is a no brainner all day long driver!

Your right it's difficult to have both attributes!
That's why I have a small quiver.
Different needs for various times.

Add:

The VAPOLUTION is the lowest consumer of medicine.
NANO is close second.
LSV consumes the most however you can put a glass disk or glass daisy in the bowl to reduce volume!

Out of the LSV and the SSV I think the SSV seems like more what I'd be looking for, a desktop one. Are any of those two considered better than the other?

Personally, I like the LSV better because it doesn't require a whip. That long whip "can" add a taste of it's own, but it's definitely more convenient, except when it comes to cleaning.

They have the same heating element.

The SSV it a good all around desk top.

I use my cheap low income VAPOLUTION 2 as my DRY unit.

There only $107 with the FC code including delivery plus you might not like the low price?
Not as powerful as a SSV.

I got the LSV for water path because the longer whip style vapes have a funny flavor profile!

I'll offer my opinion, now that I've officially used four different vaporizers.

Yes, they all give vapor, but they do not all extract the same.

If you are looking for something with a bigger bowl, you may be looking for better extraction. With a log vape, and now with the EVO, I am getting MORE vapor, and more medicated, using about 0.1 or a bit less.
My prior portable gave good hits, but not the full extraction, and I was never as medicated, using the very same amount.

What is your need? From reading, my impression is that the Sub is going to give you huge, fast, THC prominent hits, and the rest of the herbal goodness is reclaimed, and then hit as a concentrate. If you are looking for high THC, that might be what you are after.

A log vape will give you lots of vapor, and decent economy, for really nice extraction. Think a more balanced high, and a bit more of the CBD/CBN. Log vapes have a real advantage in that they are always waiting, you can bring to it straight glass stems, or water tools, invert on a bong, etc.

The EVO seems to give a full extraction of the goodies, for me, at the same settings as my previous vape, I seem to get way more medicated and body relief, with a less "giddy" head. The ABV is also very evenly browned. I use about the same amount as I have in all my other vapes, and I am getting way more results that last longer.

If you are planning to hit it often, and want to switch things up a bit, I'd go with a log vape. If you are going to use it less frequently, like once or twice a day, or even just maybe a few times a week, you might look for the faster heatup time of something like the Sub or EVO - or, maybe even the Herbalizer.

Best advice I have for you is pick two or three that sound interesting, and then read the last 10 pages or so of each main thread. If any sound good, then go back further, and look for videos, specs, and reviews.

EVO, Sublimator and Herbalizer are way too expensive. :p

Log-style = Arizer Solo, LSV etc? LSV seems quite nice really, but would it be much different from the Solo?

Looking at the Plenty it doesn't seem to be that nice after all.

ataxian: How would you compare the Solo and LSV? I have PVHES, PVHEGonG, PA, F-bomb for my Solo so it's pretty well equipped. Would an LSV be worth buying?

Your asking the wrong person!

I love the SOLO'S I own!
I love every single vaporizer In my quiver period!
(For different reasons of course)

Get a LSV you can add more to your quiver as your ready to expand.
The LSV will take you to the other end of the spectrum than say a SOLO.
SOLO'S are wonderful no doubt.
The LSV is different however very medicating if you like that kind of effect?

Little Bubbler = SOLO
Larger WATER PIPE = LSV

That is where I am today!

Log Vapes are vapes in the shape of a wood log, and have a wooden body.

Examples: HI, UD, Enano

The LSV is a big hitter, works better with a bong but can be used dry. Just like a log. It has variable temperature and it is quite big compared to a log. Plus, it is not as easy to save on herbs because it has a big bowl, unlike a log vape stem.

The Solo is pretty much a Log Vape with 7 preset temperatures and a bit worse taste and portable.

So when you compare Solo and LSV, you're comparing a 125cc scooter with a 1000cc honda, not really fair.

If you plan on getting another vaporizer, i would choose a bigger hitter.

LSV is very nice to have a more intense experience and a quicker high than the Solo.

Not a fair comparison, you are right. But it does sound like something I'd like. :D

Do you need extra equipment for the LSV? GonG or such? Sound like it would be nice combined with my large waterpipe. :D

Seeing now that you can add a waterpipe adapter when you order it. Is a long or short adapter recommended?

Well you need to choose a circular gong instead of the regular one i think, to use with water. Or you need to get a male-male adapter.

I think the shorty is the favorite of most.

Yes, and be sure to buy a round gong joint.
I feel stupid now but I'm not sure if I'm getting what you mean. Do I need something more than what I linked above to use it with a waterpipe? Looks to me like the 14mm option for the adapter I linked would fit straight into my waterpipe, just like the PVHEGonG for my Solo.

To clarify, my waterpipe has a downstem with a female end. The adapter I linked would fit into that downstem, wouldn't it?

Yes. You just need to research a bit into the LSV to understand what i meant. The LSV is usually sold with a 14mm female joint that can atach a wand to it. There is also another option which is a round gong heater cover to use with the adapter you posted.

So, you can get a set of round gong heater cover +round gong water piece adapter, or you get a regular gong heater cover to use with the wand.

The LSV has an 18mm joint. They offer WPA's in both 14 and 18 you just need the same size as your downstem. I reccomend the short WPA too.
