You guys may want to do yourselves a favor, AND give VapeXhale some love, by picking up a Cloud Buddy!

Thanks :) I already have one though and, I have shown VapeXhale some love by pre ordering an EVO and Hydratube back in September.

What is this dab method you speak of? Hi heat and a dab?
Just using a tiny amount of herb on the highest heat setting or slightly less. Then taking all the vapour in one hit.

So far:

-No tracking or shipping info on the ebay cloud
-2 week backorder on ELB's from vapornation
-Backordered chandelier

Guess everything might get here at the same time? LOL

Thanks :) I already have one though and, I have shown VapeXhale some love by pre ordering an EVO and Hydratube back in September.

I looked in the cloud thread when trying to figure out the dab method and there were posts saying their cloud died shortly after switching to this technique. IDK just thought id let you know.

LMAO!!!
When did the title of the thread change to FakeXHale Cloud??
That is too funny!!!

Seriously though it really sucked seeing the red light and then 30 minutes later the red light was still on and the unit was so cool to the touch...
Hoping to hear back from him today about shipping a working unit!

Mine did that. The thing worked great for over a year until I started doing the dab method, which I loved. About four of those max setting sessions did my unit in. I would bet these units will be as susceptible as mine was to this failure.

Dab method=small amount/single extraction? Is that like a Sublimator hit?

NEW POST WITH DETAILS FROM SHIPPER:

Did anyone else receive this e mail when they opened up a claim of a DOA unit?

Sorry to hear that it is not working. Getting it replaced should not be a problem. The manufacturer is stepping it up on these and covering the units for DOA's. Just as a friendly reminder, if the unit has been tampered with, you will be responsible for the repairs/shipping. They will need you to ship the unit back to them and inside the box, just ship the unit. Keep the glass with you. Once they have it, they will verify that the internals is theirs and it matches up to the unit that they shipped to you. Any repairs/replacements will then be done and shipped back to you if everything looks right. Please send me a pic of the unit plugged in and turned on and your email that you would like the shipping address sent, to Doc Holiday 200 ( ) gmail ( ). Sorry for any inconvenience and if everything looks good, they will replace it for you. Happy Times to you this Season!

Why? To me it sounds like they're trying to maintain their seller status. I'm sure they would have preferred to sell 'em 'as is' and not be responsible for any repair/replacement- thus the 'no warranty' disclaimer. eBay is probably telling them to 'make it right' or they'll get the boot. They also want to make sure that the buyer is sending back the right broken unit (one actually purchased from Team Heater).

That is good but he has changed his tune...
In his previous e mail he said he would exchange the unit for a working one.
Now it has to be sent in for repairs??
Just plug one in, make sure it heats up and send it to me, seems pretty simple to me...
And did SM say they would not be repairing these units?

So what's your option? Complain to eBay that the policy changed? I wouldn't count on that doing any good.

And did SM say they would not be repairing these units?
They'll be busy enough dealing with the broken units they actually sold. Did you notice the new thread title? FakeXhale.

Also sounds like they are being savvy to prevent people from pulling a switcheroo and trying to get their older dead Clouds fixed. Are we sure they don't read this forum? :\

I don't agree with the thread title "FakeXhale" because in reality these are the same kind of units sold by SM in the past, just being sold by a "rogue" vendor/seller.
Also, I don't agree on these units being repaired if DOA, you should get what you paid for and demand your money back because you didn't get what was promised to you, no warranty doesn't mean a broken unit can be sold as a good one, period.
It's nice that he offered to repair them, but that's not enough.
Yes, SM is not going to repair these units, and as far as I'm concerned, he is not repairing the one's he sold himself yet, I know somebody who paid over $500.00 for one with a HT and instead of repair or replacement he was offered credit towards an EVO, I don't agree with this either but that's somebody else problem.

He clearly does read the forum, but if people are swapping the shells (with the stamped serials number), there's no way they can tell whether you've sent the same unit back or not. Possibly there's a serial on the PCB too, but you could avoid that worry by just swapping the bamboo/heater unit instead of the shells. That's more effort, though, and if they're not even doing basic switch-on tests (because people are getting shit that doesn't even turn on), let alone heat-up testing, they're definitely not opening the units up and squinting at tiny digits to record PCB serials.

It's nice that he offered to repair them, but that's not enough.

All he "offered" was to let end users return their unit directly to the manufacturer and handle all the warranty shit themselves so that he didn't have to do anything, essentially offering to do nothing at all, really. Definitely not enough. eBay seller rules state he has to fix shit like DoAs, so will be interesting to see how this plays out. He might find himself saddled with a bunch of Clouds and having to start a fresh eBay account (and lose all his old feedback) to sell his heater parts because eBay shut down the old one.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, really.

Where to start... by now everyone in this thread should know this.

The seller is the manufacturer for these units. They are VXL's former Cloud manufacturer. They can make repairs because they have access to the necessary parts. VapeXhale can't repair legitimate Clouds because they don't have access to the parts.

@mestizo
, they definitely deserve the name FakeXhale because they are made without the permission of VapeXhale. There is no guarantee that they are made to VXL's standards, and in fact poor quality was one of the reasons VXL dropped the manufacturer. The companies are now engaged in a lawsuit.

I'm guessing that these guys are trying to prevent someone with a broken Cloud+ from getting a cheap repair and two working units by simply swapping shells. I'm not suggesting anyone try this. It would be wrong.

I guess you missed sm's post in the Cloud thread (11/5) where he (once again) stated how things had to go, in order to get the best resolution for everyone concerned. Here's the meat of his post-

"We can either fix these broken units now, and be cash broke, and disappear OR, we can sell units, get profitable, be able to buy parts and begin repairs on units when we are capable.
It is a horrible situation, and one that I've apologized and explained over and over but it is what it is. I guarantee if we folded and re-emerged as another company there would be plenty of sales that we could make because let's face it, no one really knows about VapeXhale outside of this community. We aren't saying "tough luck" to you guys, we are saying that if we do ANYTHING other than sell the existing unit right now, then the company will go under because of cash flow issues. It is THAT SIMPLE."

If VXL had decided to repair/replace all defective Clouds under warranty (assuming they could have) instead of raising $ through Indiegogo, it certainly would have busted them, and there'd be no EVO or any future repairs/replacements for any other Cloud owners. The path they took was the right one and anyone who disagrees isn't looking at the big picture.

on another note...

Sorry about the lack of review, but I feel its been covered... All I have to say is:

fuuuu HUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK

I'm a rookie again. 6 solid clouds off of .8. This IMPOSTER is a beast.

12-3PM are my sweet spots. 3PM is dark coffee-ground-brown.
EDIT: I have to add that I had been using it with my bubbler and hadnt tried the dry MP, and I needed to push the bamboo up some to get the MP to sit right.

:popcorn:Waiting till after New Years, then snagging an EVO in the near future.

In the mean time, I am running this thing about 4-6 cycles/day on 12-3PM. So far so good. Figured if it crapped out I could get a replacement, within 45 days thought PayPal.

A post by SM himself, page 18 in the middle:

I have been getting a lot of PMs asking me about this so I will post something here for everyone to read. These units are not made to our spec and we are in no way affiliated with this seller. We do not support or warranty these products and want to stay as far away from this as possible. We have COMPLETELY moved away from this model and if you are a VapeXhale fan, we have our new product, the Cloud EVO that we stand 100% behind and if you go to the new thread, you will see that is substantially better than the original Cloud and that is all I will say about the topic.

To me this means:
You buy off ebay and you are all alone.
VXL will NOT be fixing or repairing any of these units that were not SPECIFICALLY bought from VXL.

To me it seems pretty cut and dry and very simple...

Nobody was even asking or disputing the fact that these are NOT warranted or ever will be warranted by VXH. Am I the only one who read Mestizos post?

"SM is not going to repair these units"

Can't we just get back to bashing this guy who sold you a Non warranted, Non VXH Cloud+, that 99% of you knew before you bought it.

Hey guys! Wanted to say hi. Sorry I have neglected my fave thread. I lost it because I kept searching for "Sticks and Stones Fantasy Football team" So hard to find it. Clearly I have been getting too baked, too much turkey, and booze. I totally forgot to hit send on my VB Water tool. I emailed em. Last time they were nice to late comers hopefully they will let me in.

So one of the days off I had last week, I had 3 plus the weekend, that was a cloudy 5 days. I had a mighty scare. I left an ELB in, it was cashed anyway. I totally forgot the thing was even on. I smelled smoke. i got elb out. The duff was smoking. The unit smelled. The bamboo looked like it was glowing hot. Hottest I have seen it. I don't think mine gets super hot, except for the plate on top that says hot i have no problems with it getting warm. I was very worried it was busted. But I gave it some hours to chill and flipped her back on and she still works. Heat up to good milk clouds seems to take a bit longer than it did before the incident.

So just a word of caution i wouldn't leave this thing unattended and on. My EQ runs 24/7, most of the time, and I have 0 worries. I'd be scared shitless to do it with the SSFF.

Speaking of the EQ I feel so bad for it. It is so neglected and sad. I tried hitting it but is no cloud :( I must get an EVO.
