Discontinued Vapir NO2

with my vapir no 2 i took out all the vapir screens and fill the brass bowl up with about a spliffs worth of stuff... it's quite expensive to run. But i like this vaporizer.

once the bowl is full i gently place a big steel screen on top of it cheap from my local head shop... then screw on the top which has empty filter holder. Chuck on the tube and i'm good to go!

if the bowl wasn't brass i'd rate it more highly.

Hi everyone. I am brand new to vaping. In fact, I just received my brand-new No2 yesterday based on recommendations by this forum. I'm sure I will have lots of questions for all of you and appreciate all that is been shared thus far.

I look forward to being part of this community.

Hey Ansel,

Quite expensive to run? I thought vaping saves product?

Thanks

Ansel is not using his unit as recommended by manufacturer OR as recommended or used by FC members as a whole...
The NO2 is one of my most efficient vaporizers, and does save a great deal of "product".
Ansel is just describing his own personal method for using his device.

I took mine on a 500 mile road trip this weekend. I didn't buy a car charger because I remembered I owned a DC to AC power inverter. Worked fine.

After using it for a couple of weeks there are some design changes that would even make it better.

One would be a setting to leave on 24/7. Keep the auto shut off after 20 minute setting too.

The power chord itself is a little cumbersome to use on AC. The wire is pretty stiff and that elbow where it connects to the base, makes it sometimes a little difficult to set down sometimes.

The plastic top that screws off to expose the chamber has some grip nubbies on it, but I feel a little more gripping (higher /more nubbies) would help for those of us with slippery hands and weaker grips.

Charging when both on and off.

The draw tube comes off a little too easy and we all want more vapor clouds but other than those tiny things, it's beyond great.

I still love it, and use it on and off all day and nothing else.

Great points... and also...
..well spoken, DogDad! :)
The angle of the plug does bother some.. but it comes in handy when wanting to charge unit discreetly without wires present... as it can be hung off the table or desk's edge.

I love my Vapir NO2, but it's been acting up lately and is now pretty much unusable. The only problem is that the battery won't charge. It's at one bar, but when I plug it in, nothing happens. It used to be that the screen would flicker, but the battery icon wouldn't be blinking to show it's charging. Now neither of those things happen. I can't imagine that the battery is dead since it's still turning on just fine. But if I try to use it plugged in, it turns off after about 10 seconds as if it were low on charge and unplugged. What can I do?

Try flipping the battery or just remove it and see if it works.
Could also be the power supply.
If you have a 12 volt power supply you could try it with the battery removed,or a volt meter to check the Vapir power supply It should be 13 volts. But the no2 will heat up with 12 volts and no battery.

I took out the battery and tried to run it that way. It lit up once while I was moving the cord around, but again after that. I don't know if it's the charger or the body itself.

Check to see if there is any fraying around the cord itself .
That's what happened to mine , it got charged some of the time .

How old is your battery ?
I needed a new one after 13 months .
It just wouldn't hold the charge anymore .

Hope that helps .

I've been using my vapir no2 for about 3 months now and its been working great, almost no problems. but lately it would take about 5-8 hits before the mouthpiece would seem "unclogged" and I got the regular hit from it through the tube. but now the mouthpiece is what it seems like completely clogged and no matter how many times you hit it, you won't get any type of air flow, nor hit through it. can anyone help???

Golden clear THC oil can trickle down the tube when you set unit down between uses. I know many like that to let that oil build up, but in this unit, you can’t, or the oil eventually will enter the orifice, and after time it can touch the top micro screen. When I see the buildup occurring, I just stick a toothpick in the tube and do a once around. This prevents the clog that you have now.

The top itself can be immersed in Iso if it is too thick to attack with a pipe cleaner moistened in Iso. (remove the top screen assembly first, by pinching and twisting.
Do it by hand. Firm grip … don’t use fingertips use side of finger.

Yeah it might just be the battery. The charger looks fine.

My intake tube is becoming discolored. Is there anyway to restore it to crystal clear or must it be replaced? If I must replace it, what type of tubing do I order and from where?

Tubing yellows.. always.
you can get the tubing (official one) at:https://www.vapir.com/shop/3-pack-of-new-tubes/
Note...
Discolored or stained does not mean it is dirty.
I clean my tubing daily. This piece is not NO2 tube, but is the same material, and has been used daily for 2 years. It is dead clean!

I pour Iso into tube and shake it well
Then I run hot water through and add a touch of dish soap..
I shake that well (both ends covered with a finger/thimb)
I rinse it well
I vacuum it dry with a shop vac
This gets done daily, or whenever you like.
I do it every day.

Thanks guys. I'll try both.

Mine is starting to look like the butt of a smoked cigarette. This just means it's been bringing me some relief. In just a few weeks, it's really yellowed.

I think i read somewhere that the tubing needed to be of a certain type so that it doesn't leach toxins. I think it was food grade, medical grade or something.

It's the color of the tubing that looks dirty that bothers me. It doesn't "look" clean. lol

I'm using the tip found in this thread about the Big Gulp cup for the car, and the yellowed straw sticking out of the top looks like something that has been smoked through.

has anyone tried repairing the power jack on one of these themselves?

the NO2 i gave to a friend about a year ago stopped charging. he can only get it to turn on if he charges the battery in someone else's unit so i'm fairly certain it's either the wall adapter gone bad or the plug itself on the NO2 is damaged.

the one i gave to him is many years out of warranty so i have no complaints about breaking it open. has anyone else broken theirs open?

So you don't see any fraying around the cord ends ?

I'm still loving this NO2. Gee, I had no idea vaping was that much better than combusting. Maybe that's part of the allure.

Reading around fc, i see many recommendations for the solo, but few for the N02. The NO2 has important features the solo doesn't. It was the clear choice for me in a portable.

The stock tubing that comes with it kept falling off all the time and finally it fell off and I lost it. I went to my LHS and bought a whip, cut it to the right length and have been happy ever since. The tube hasn't fallen off again either.

Now, I feel when I'm tossing it (and fully loaded) in my day bag, it's all one piece. I treat it no different than I do my Britta water bottle.

I do think if the no2 had a maximum temperature closer to combustion say, 460-490, it would have even more flexibility but up to 400, it does a better than average job as a portable and in my case a desktop.

When I re-entered the world of Vaping, I did so with a GREAT deal of thought and much research.
My introductory Vape into the "Vaporiverse" was the NO2.
It is indeed a good one, and I still use it often.
