So i had a go at it and figured for a total of $113 a cloud and 4 elbs isn't a bad price, even if it only lasts a few months i will still have a cloud until i can afford an evo. cloud and elbs purchased separately, who knows maybe ill have extra if this does come with them. I opted on the safe side and bought extra elbs.

As I'm sure someone has said before...One can never have too many ELBs. Backups, emergency stash to ship to other users in need/traveling from out of town and forgotten ELBs (it's happened) Etc....

Oh by the way guys I stopped off at Home Depot and spent $7 on some high temp epoxy made for repairing metal that both says it's safe for clean water use, and is safe to up to 2400 degrees celsius.

I don't think I'll be reaching temps like that in this Cloud+ so lets see if we can't get some hackjob repair done huh?

Same exact offer and response here.

What is a little fishy is that the item location in the listing says Detroit but my package is leaving out of Doylestown, PA.

Ill go intercept it...

I believe VXH had a facility in PA (possibly philly) but i thought it was an assembly facility, not the facility that made the parts, but i could be wrong... I just sent him an offer for 90 and asked about a possible pick up instead of shipping... At that price id be more than happy with a few weeks of use, considering I bought my OG cloud off a buddy for almost full price and it lasted a month and It had no warranty because of the no transfer thing so i couldnt get it fixed. Still have my HT somewhere time to dig it back out!

2400 Celsius?! Are you sure that's right? Can you post a product link? I think you're talking about exhaust epoxy which is usually rated up to 2400 degrees Farenheit. I would love to be wrong though because that would be some awesome stuff.

Ok, just wanted to say that I received it today. In the box: 1 Cloud, 1 Glass mouthpiece, 3 ELB's and 3 caps (thank you Purpl3_Haz3). I turned the unit on and set it to 12 o'clock, it showed a solid red light (no flashing lights). About 1 minute later it turned green. I turned the knob to 1 o'clock and it turned red again but quickly turned green a minute later. I only had mid grade so that's what I used. Loaded ELM loosely almost to the top and put cap on. Waited a couple of minutes and got totally medicated. So I can say that it definitely works.
I apologize to everyone over at Vapexhale. I never meant to offend any of you by starting this thread. I'm always looking for a bargain and wasn't aware of your situation legal or otherwise. I sincerely apologize and hope that maybe somehow my finding this on ebay can somehow help assist you in any future litigation.

When @Hypno vaper received his unit, we PM'd a bit, as I was curious if it was legit, etc. I realized he had no Cloud experience, and gave him the following tips for diagnosing the unit to see if it worked, etc. In case anyone else here is unexperienced with these vapes, below is the info that should help you determine if your Cloud is working as it should, and how to get up and running with it. All of this, and much more, can be found in the Cloud threads. Have fun! Good luck!

Diagnosing and using your new Cloud +
-----

When turned on, the light may or may not flash a pattern, but should essentially go red after turning it on, and stay red, to signify it's heating up. My OG ticker, when turned on flashes a combo of red and green, then goes to solid red signifying heat. @Hypno vaper's unit from this eBay deal seems to go straight to red when turned on. Either would be considered normal!

After several minutes (probably not too long depending on the temp dial setting) you should see it go green. The Cloud + has been said to "go green" a little sooner than it should, so I wouldn't expect the inner metal shell to feel warm/hot as soon as it goes green, especially below the 12/noon setting. @Hypno vaper's unit went green at the noon setting after ~1 minute, and it took an additional minute to make the jump from 12noon to 1pm.

If it were me, I would turn it on, with the temp knob set around the middle (12/noon) or a little higher, and wait for it to go green, and maybe even wait a little longer. Then I would feel for heat on the inner (silver) enclosure, especially on the top where it says HOT. I tap the top of my OG ticker where it says HOT with my finger to feel the temp occasionally...it's very hot there, but probably not quite so much in the cloud Plus...but it should be very very noticeably warm there. I'd also take a test inhale through the dry mouthpiece, with an empty ELB inserted (if you have any) and feel the ELB and glass on glass joints on the mouthpiece and the Clouds male joint, all to check for warmth.

If it is warm in those places when it's green, it's a fairly safe bet this thing is gonna work.

Here are some answers/tips.

The only thing I noticed is a funny smell when I took it out of the box. I sniffed down the hole and it smelled like burned wires. It smells like it is dissipating the longer I leave it on.
The smell is most actually not coming from the hole (glass tube is referred to as a "Bamboo") as this tube is completely sealed from the rest of the unit, and goes straight through (you can confirm this with the unit off, plugging the bottom of the bamboo with one hand, and inhaling through the top...you should feel a suction against your hand, showing the bamboo is solid. This smell is somewhat common, and comes from either the inside electronics/heater, or something on the metal, etc. Run it for an hour or two at 12/1 and maybe even position a fan towards it...the smell should dissipate.

This thing came with no manual.
As for the lack of manual...here are a couple cell phone pics of the original manual...

How do I use the ELB's? Do I load the large one and place inside glass on top? If so, what is the smaller one for? And how do I change them if they are hot? Do I have to turn off the unit and wait for it to cool in order to remove the screens?
As for using the ELBs. An Ez-Load-Bowl consists of one of the small screens, and one of the large ones. You will notice that a small one can be inserted into a large one, as a cap. This is how they work. You load as little or as much (I'd recommend around 1/3 full-1/2 full) of finely ground dry flower into the large bowl, and insert the small cap into it. Then you insert the bowl into the Cloud. After time (several several uses) the ELBs will be easier to insert/remove, as the metal softens and they become "trained."

Yes, they are hot, but most find that you get used to it, and it's not as hot as it seems. I use my finger tips/nails to remove the bowl, and set it down for a moment or two to cool down, before emptying it. turning off the unit won't let the bowl cool down quick at all, it's easier to just remove it.

Also the glass comes all the way out of the bottom of unit and touches the table. Does that restrict airflow? Should I leave it on the table when using or lift it into air in order to free up the air flow?

The glass bamboo is kind of adjustable. It is meant to move just a little so it doesn't do what it's doing now, hitting the table. Hold the Cloud in one hand, and firmly, but carefully, push the bamboo up with the palm of your hand, just a little bit. If it's actually just really really close to the table, you don't need to adjust it, but I personally like it a little ways away from the table.

-------------------------

Also, when it comes to actually vaping, definitely wait around 3-7 minutes before using it, after it goes green...if it's going green around 1 minute, IIRC it's acting like many of the Cloud +'s did, and you will get less than great vape results at that time. It's recommended to wait around 5-8 minutes or more for it to actually heat up from cold.

That just happened...
I've received one. It came with a pretty badass mouthpiece and 3 elb 4 elb caps. I ran it on maximum all night then today gave the bamboo a real good cleaning. I'm sending it to a friend whom I gave a cloud to last year but it broke. Hopefully this one lasts. :)

As for me I can't wait for my Evo!

I would be careful with that one comment in your otherwise very cool post.

Have gone through literally a dozen Clouds from purchasing 3 initially way back when. Currently have a working OG ticker, Cloud+, non-working warrantied Cloud+ and of course a Fanatic Evo with two more coming. None of the bamboo's ever moved the slightest. I have read here that people slide theirs up and down and if you ask me that is a defect.

Might I ask how you gave the bamboo a cleaning? I just placed an order, couldnt help it, and wanted to follow your steps.

Is not that the bamboo moves freely, is that you can push it a little. In my cloud+ (and others) it was needed because the bamboo was too low. I moved it some milimeters upwards and it has never moved again.

Here you can see a pic of my bamboo before pushing it:

I remember Troy and SM talking about it like something normal and that wouldn't damage the unit if done carefully.

I offered $75 originally, he wouldn't take my $95 but did $100.
I am looking forward to @Deadshort480 's cloud comparison. I figure this purchase will either make me save up for an EVo or it will solve the cloud mystery for me. I feel like I need some bigger glass for this thing. My lil bubbler is likely not going to do the cloud justice.

I wonder how many of these they are actually offloading, so far the website says 52 sold and "more than 10" available. I think I'll just wait until the stock dwindles and see if the seller will budge on his minimum price to shed the remainder. I don't really need a cloud, so if not successful, I'll save a bit of money -- I just enjoy the game playing of this whole thing.

i feel pretty stupid now, having paid a lot more for my unit...

While I won't begrudge any users here, because if I didn't have a cloud+ already I would have jumped on this deal, I feel the same.

Maybe these were built to specifics out of spite?

And then take low-ball offers for all that extra work they put it? I doubt it.

What I don't understand is how this is even legal. If this is the company that VXC is in litigation with, I don't see how they could sell possible faulty units and cause damage to VXC's brand even further.

Tweak I have been meaning to ask you about your signature. You use the SSV with an EQ elbow pack and an EQ with the SSV wand? I know of the later mod, but not the former. Kind of funny and ironic.

Me too. I plan on doing the same thing.

"125 I can't go but if 75 will help you out I'd be willing to give you 75."
"You want 75 dollars for the Cloud?"
Personally I think you boys are playing it wrong and better off paying the $100, than waiting. You know supply and demand. Look around the net some legit, FC adored websites are selling the cloud plus for $450.00 Which seems a bit crazy. I know randy at puff it up, is the nicest most legit guy who wants to deliver awesome customer service, I wonder what his plan is for if units he sells breaks. I know he got them from SM, but as I understand it VXL can't fix those right now even if they wanted to. Which makes me wonder who in their right mind is paying $450 for a cloud plus.

My friends call me "Menz"
i am sooooooooo stuck on the fence on this one!!! i REALLY would love a cloud (ticker, +, or EVO) but in all reality.... my budget will not allow me to get one at the normal full price. even if i could afford one at regular retail, my wife would kill me spending $400+ on a vape when i have 3 kids that need xmas gifts, clothes, food on the table, and a roof over their head.

HOWEVER..... $100 to $125 is not totally out of the budget but if it were to last only a week then it would be a stupid waste of even that money. if it lasts 6+ months that would be better (would then cost about $21.00 a month) but there is no guarantee that it will.

so confused.... this IS and probably will be my ONLY chance to own a cloud........ not sure what to do :(

I guess some clarification, sorry.

Once, on one new replacement Cloud, the first time I pulled an ELB out of it the bamboo moved up about 3/4 of an inch. I opened a support ticket and it was immediately replaced. I guess I'm just saying I don't think it was intended as normal to move at all but yea quite possibly ok to live with after the realization they are hitting the streets this way due to the manufacturing process.
