Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Anybody get so ripped that you forget that there's no ELB loaded and you take a full hit and get really confused?

Oh yeah. Been there done that. The real mind trip though is when you take that big hit with no ELB, blow a cloud, and then go to proceed to take out an ELB that does not exist. This has happened to me after some oil sessions when I forgot to put the ELB back in.

These are some of the preview shots I took of the Cloud Evo on Saturday along with some close-up shots. @S1N3 and @Deadshort480 can chime in and help answer any questions you guys may have about the pictures.

Has anyone who has been using an EVO seen any evidence of the burnt ring residue that occurs inside the joint on the original cloud? I am hoping the new design prevents a hot spot from building up right where the metal touches the glass.

So upon closer inspection, the bambu appears to be completely re-done. It looks like the lower 1/3 length is the restrictive path, thick beefy glass too, with a diameter of a typical milkshake straw, the upper 2/3 is fully open.

For those who have used it, am I really missing out if I just order the dry mouthpiece attachment?

Yes. Unless you have or get some other water tool. I can not recall very many posts in any of these Cloud threads saying "I prefer to use the Cloud w/out the water option." I expect you will still love the Cloud EVO but you'll only be part way there for what it can be/do.

As others have said, as well as IMO, go with some type of water filtration...HT or otherwise. However, there really are quite a few users who like non water filtered vapor, myself included sometimes. Still, a dry mouthpiece can be too little at some temps, in terms of cooling the vapor. I'd say at the very least, you'll use the hydratube sometimes, if not half the time or more. It also doubles as a great dry mouthpiece, that filters particulate well, and cools down the vapor significantly without water. Then, when you want even more diffusion, add water. This way you get the best of both worlds, and get the better deal of ordering both together!

@King, or @Deadshort480, what does this mark signify? Is it somewhere on the side of the unit?
After a long day of breaking rocks, I can finally blast off!

Goin to be a Cloudy night in NOR CAL.

Congrats! What perk level of the IGG campaign did you donate at?

My auto shutoff kicks in at exactly 57 minutes. I just timed it.
My OG ticker's auto shutoff kicks in at about 57/58 minutes too lol. Funny number.

Also, at anyone with an EVO. What is the material around the GONG joint made of, that siliconish looking ring...?

Thanks! Donated for the Fan Boy package.

Man, 2 hits in and my head is BUMPIN! I thought my LSV milked up my Lev Lattice quick, this thing is insane. The flavor I am getting from this Alien Dawg Cherry makes me want to keep taking hits.

Can not thank SM55 and the entire VapeXhale family for sticking to it and creating this beast of a Vaporizer.

Fanboy package?

Hopefully that means mine ships soon. Did you get an email confirming your shipping or did it just show up?

They sent me an email with a tracking number. I filled an ELB 2/3 full and it will not stop giving vapor. It has taken me 10 minutes to write this. I am in a medicated state like I have not experienced it quite a while. No hype when it comes to this vaporizer, just pure medicinal bliss.

That mark is definitely from the molding process. It is on the side of the unit.

Yes, there is a soft silicone buffer right below the GonG joint.

You and I are in the same exact boat, my friend. We are both coming from the LSV to the EVO and having the same realizations.

When I see how close that siliconey thingy is to the base of the joint, while I like the support it gives, it makes me worry if I could fit my Circ HT on it. I had to push up the bamboo in my Plus to make it seal tight. The Circ has deeply recessed joint so even when the joint bottom was several milimeters above the metal saying HOT (after the push), the Circ was hovering only slightly above. In contrast my Vertigo HT sits 5 milimeters higher on any joint than the concerning Circ. However, the joint on the EVO seems taller than on my Plus, so I hope it is taller on the bottom end so the Circ wont fit so deep.

The only piece I have the the joint does not fit into is the Bingo double Showerhead bubbler I bought from Pipesdaddy. The joint is so far recessed that a seal cannot be made. An adapter is definitely needed. For the record, I just tied to love my bamboo up and down with just slight force and it was a no go.

My understanding is that they lack the glass to complete the Fanatic & Early Bird orders. As the glass becomes available they will fill those orders.

The irony, of course, is that those who contributed the most will not be the ones who are rewarded first.

But getting EVOs out there and getting reviews and feedback can only help sales so one can see their logic. Its unfortunate they made a promise to ship in a certain order apparently before the glass issue came up so many of us were expecting to be amongst the first to get units.

If their past performance is any guide they are doing all they can given the restrictions of parts supplies, so as dificult as it is, we must be patient. Just hard to look at the pics and see the reviews and not have mine yet.....:\

Actually, the primary reason for the delay in Fanatics shipments was a shortage of the Limited Edition "graphite" enclosures (SM mentioned this in an earlier post). Fanatics had a choice, and most of us went with the graphite. Those enclosures have been received (see post #141). But that temporary shortage freed up enclosure inventory such that units for Early Birds for which VXL had tubes and Fan Boys which do not receive tubes, could be assembled and shipped. Out of sequence, yes, but the net result was simply some Birds and Boys getting units shipped earlier than expected. Then the opal shortage came up.

VXL started up the assembly line very cautiously. There is a lot of testing and process checking/adjusting going on, so throughput has been intentionally slow. Now the originally planned shipment sequencing can resume. (Can't say if/when the opal shortage will impact the revised schedule.)

Probably later this week or so, there will begin a flurry of Fanatic reviews, building to a torrent especially when the Early Birds are shipping full on. Fasten your seat belts.

^ This guy is like my second dad - full of wisdom.

Troi and VaporRing and Ben have truly done a great job making the assembly process as smooth as possible. We feel confident that we will be able to get through all of our IGG contributors in the next few weeks. We appreciate you guys taking it easy on our Support Desk to allow us to continue building, testing, boxing, and shipping.

On a side note, today is my last official day at my DAY JOB!!!! I am now a full time employee of VapeXhale and I am very excited to be able to focus on this full time and bring more vapor goodies to the community.

Awesome stuff, congrats. Must be exciting and scary to leave the comfort of a dependable paycheck. I have a buddy here in SF who years ago left behind the paycheck and started his own small dev house. Scary and uncertain at the time, but over 10 years alter and they are still going strong, and stayed small (but with big clients)

I guess that means you can full time assembly line! CEO on the mfg floor! Love it.

One thing his company did that I thought was much smarter than many of the other startups around at the time was NOT hire 50 people right away. Even when I was out of work for a few months, he wouldn't even pretend like he was going to hire people based on their hard luck. I think he still only has 5-6 true employees, everyone else is 'partner/contract' based. Doesn't work for every start up, but being very disciplined with that angle really kept them afloat.

I was part of a diff start up years ago and told the CFO "Dude, wtf, stop hiring so many people!" They didn't listen, and the start up failed, but only after we laid off like 30 people that we never should have hired in the first place. If we had kept it at 15 employees, we'd probably still be there ! The VCs and board pressured the founders to "spend money/invest" to prove that they were a "real company"... such horrid advice, but everyone else was doing it.

That is a very negative way of looking at that scenario. Were you aware that VXL is accumulating feed back on the current distribution of EVO's. If they feel a change is warranted and doable, changes are made before the next batch goes out. Ensuring the latest distribution is as good as they can be. I have one coming on the trade in level and that one will possible be better than the one the Fanatics got.
