Compressed disks in neck vaping making my pinched nerves flair up?

Compressed disks in my neck vaping is making my nerve pains double/start. But edibles kill the pain... Ive been vaping for 10+ years with no problem my neck injury happened roughly a year ago and havnt had a problem vaping until about 2 months ago. Luckily edibles have been killing the pain and helping me through the day. My question is why would injestion through the lungs cause nerve problems? I miss the taste of oll mary :(

Could ergonomics - positioning of spine, neck, etc, - while hitting be implicated? What's your vaping setup like?

Firewood/mflb and darts/oil rig. I've been trying to figure out triggers since the nerve pains have started. It seems that anything i hit even a joint :/ within ten minutes it starts from middle of my shoulders and travels down my arm into my fingers also upwards into my jaw/temples and back of head. Very debilitating to the point ive practicly stopped vaping or smoking. It happens everyday withough vaping but seems to be much more tolerable/controllable. I've been prescribed muscle relaxers which i only take at night but do seem to considerably help. I'm also on a bunch of anti inflammatory herbs like 99% pure nopal, tumeric, ibuprofens and drink super green kale shakes everymorning.

Well I think the portability and variety of setups pretty much rules out ergonomics then. medibles are a different effect - THC-11 versus THC-9, but still I would expect pain relief either way. As you probably know, higher vaping temps and strain choice (especially some Indicas) should give more pain relief.

Highly agreed and have tried many different options. My neck hurts but not badly, the bad part is after vaping sativa or indica herb/oil the nerve pain/tingles are so bad it puts me to the ground sometimes. But i have never had this happen on a day not vaping, i can feel them coming on and control them better by breathing, stretching, invertion table and traction streching etc. But not after i've vaped its pretty much innevitable.

Have you tried vaping at low temperatures then going high or just using VERY LITTLE herb for each session, then reload the bowl for vaping fresh herb. The goal is to vape with very little clouds. It may be the reason you are feeling this pain from vaping/smoking, the clouds are revving up your system too much.

I talked about clouds in this thread:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/u...er-effect-from-vaporizers-or-ingestion.10625/

Also, inhale through your nose with the technique I gave in the thread(french inhale) or just fill your mouth with vapor, then swallow it, then inhale deeply with your nose. When done, exhale slowly through your nose. This will help activate your parasympathetic nervous system and help with the pain.

Try it out and let me know how it goes.

Just use very little for the time being. Very little meaning a small pinch. So small that it looks like a spec of dirt in the bowl, and use the nose technique.

@Trever, you should talk/pm Slightly Medicated, if I remember correct he also suffers from some kind of back pain that get worse when he vapes on low temps and only get better when he vapes at high temps
(I think he medicates at a temp starting from 420 degrees. I read once that when he vapes at low temps, some other nerves in his back get agitated to the point that vaping at low temps just made his back hurt more.
Good luck.

So far im getting less and less of them. Been to a few spine specialists and a few nerve specialists. Their best guess other than whats already known the bottom 4 disks in my neck are stacked with no fluid. Their best guess since the symptoms im experiencing arnt all linked to those disks i must have a form of migrains/anxiety. I've found so far the best thing is ear plugs and darkness when i have symptoms. But only time will tell i guess so far, i have cut down on my consumption of cannabis and it has definetly seemed to become alot less frequent and more easy to control.

Agreed i havnt tried any migrain meds as of yet other than tylenol migrain which did nothing for me. Im a Utah resident and have been in cali for work for the last few weeks so im definetly going to get some recommendations and see if something can help. I just hade meds and try to stay away from anything synthetic if i possibly can.

Great Scott!
I hear you on that one, but if it is migraines then you want to get it under control. They are basically debilitating. I would imagine taking migraine meds are safer than just dealing with the pain. Good idea though if you can find some strains that will fix your migraines, even better.

chronic headaches, neck pain, etc, are most likely caused by wear and tear on the spinal joints and knotted tight or spastic muscles and can be complicated by overeating and congestion
in other words you would benefit from nutritional supplements to help with repair, stretching, deep tissue massage, exercise, and staying away from processed food, wheat, and dairy
i don't know how old you are or the exact nature of your condition but hopefully you have not passed the point of no return in the degenerative process
it looks like the magic bullet may have taken a hike in your case so you need to change something
a few light puffs will prime your pump, edibles will help you move, but there is a lot more you can do to help yourself

Thank you for the kind words im 25. Big time backpacker/snowboarder, Im big into yoga and eating healthy. Kale shakes everymorning i take protandim and other supplements to help with infflamation. I have a few people that work on me ranging from reiki to deep tissue massages and cleansing treatments. The problem has seemed to start to get better, i have gone through different changes in the past year 1/2, almost have completly gotten rid of wheat and havnt had dairy for a few years being lactos intollerant. So im hoping that light at the end of the tunnel is getting nearer ive got a long life im hoping to enjoy!

I think it's a low temp, high temp thing. Maybe strain selection would help aswell.

I find when I vape low temp or sativa's and I get a heady high; I'm stimulated and notice every part of my body more, and pay more attention to it. Smoking, dabs, edibles or a high temp vape I usually find a less stimulating more mellow high that is better for pain.

Hi Trever, I have neck issues also. What I find works well as a daily program is, don't sit on anything low, take turmeric as it's a natural anti inflammatory, a few drops of tincture when needed throughout the day and when then needed a high temp vape when going nite nite.
I have a low tolerance to cannabis so I don't need much. But I find by constant maintenance rather than fighting fires is better.
Maybe try magnesium for migraine and edibles (low and slow) rather than a tincture or vape.
Best wishes :)

depending on your constitution be careful with the magnesium as it will/could make you visit the toilet...

That sounds like me and Natural Calm is good for that, I use it when I get backed up. It's not a pill, it's a fizzy powder you put in hot water at bedtime. It's very different from a laxative but if it's real bad I will add a cascara sagrada capsule or two.

If you do try the mag citrate/nc, be sure to start with a small amount and work your way up. And if you think you need to fart the next morning you just might want to let it out over the toilet bowl because it's probably not just a fart...
