So here's a picture of the Fanatic straight tube (on a hydrafoot), a möbius 60t, the evo, and a can of coke/lighter/pencil to compare size-wise.

First ever cloud-anything hit.

Verdict = (it took me 20 minutes to think about what I wanted to write here. Good god am I stoned.)

So, cards on the table honesty, there's a few surprises/disappointments:

1) I had to pull extremely hard on the hydratube and on my möbius. I have it set at 12 and waited about a minute after it turned green. Did I just not give it enough heat up time? Not a disappointment at all, just really surprised me.

2) The fanatic straight tube, while nice looking, has a pretty skinny neck and I feel like the inch pinchers are not really necessary due to it. I'm kicking myself now and wished I went with the curved neck. Regardless, it's fun to use and I like how it works.

3) The top half of the unit gets pretty damn hot at noon. Bottom half is extremely cool.

4) The evo is a LOT lighter than I was expecting.

5) It may have been excitement, but the heat up time is pretty short. Much faster than I was expecting.

6) Wow, I think the cloud may have just reblown my mind to how fucking fatastic pretzel sticks are.

7) The evo fits into the 60t with a bit of room to spare between the unit and the can.

My goodness that's a funny-ass post. I thank your stoned ass for taking the time.

Regarding #2 - do you anticipate trouble fitting a standard ice cube? Not a huge deal to make smaller ones or melt them down a bit to fit. But I was wondering about that.

Well I have an ice-maker machine in my fridge so it's skinnier than ice trays. Dunno if a regular ice tray cube would fit or not.

That being said, I take it back. The skinny ice is icing on the cake (pun definitely intended). That glass is a gat-damn joy.

The mouthpiece is 38mm which we like because we feel it concentrates the vapor for a tastier hot.

Alright. I am so stoned right now that I can't express myself very well. I've done two test runs right after coming home from a 6 day vacation at Disney World. :ko:

This is the best you're getting tonight....

An another round of Seek Qs:
1) VXL said they improved heat retention (therefore performance) even further. This is a hard goal to achieve as the OG was already really good at this. I mean, there still is some temp drop at stronger pulls like my EQ experience, just MUCH MUCH less pronounced in the Cloud. But a small drop is still there (i think) so there really is some room for improvement. Anyone can cofirm this? Ideally someone owning both EVO and OG could try to compare the difference in vapor color when pulling slow-moderate-hard.
2) VXL also said the precision got improved. Jus like the first point, this was already really good in the OG, so it would be hard to sense any difference to the better. The precision should be improved because of faster heat-up and better heat dissipation.
Any confirms that the EVO really heats up faster and gets stabilized faster? In my Cloud+ it took like 2/4/8 minutes to "produce vapor"/"make it to the dial temp"/"get stabilized". Right now it seems to me its not much different in the EVO? :hmm:
Also they said it should run more consistent within various environments. This will probably be the hardest improvement to confirm.
3) Temperature range. I've heard this is going to be wider at both ends. I like the idea of being able to dial it down even more. The lowest setting on my Cloud was still really hot, there are some vaporizables that needs it colder.
What about the upper limit? SM just said it is going to be hotter there than originals. I think my max temperature was near the edge of combustion already. Or was it? Maybe I am just about to get surprised again by how hot can a Cloud extract without really burning it.
4) Anyone can inspect the bamboo and tell how it was changed? I think there should be 3 heating chambers now instead of 2, what happened to the bottom restriction? Is is still there? The bottom pic above doesn't tell me that much because its not 3D, but it looks like the bottom restriction got widened and moved further down...? And I can see the flared bottom is back again.

It has been stated that the EVO is considerably lighter than the original Cloud. Has anyone weighed the difference?

Not to break the rules in regards to replies, but..

VP lists the OG cloud as weighing in at 1.125 lbs
The EVO is reported to weigh 10.5 oz naked, or 1 lb with the cord plugged in.

So a difference of .125 lbs, or 2 ounces.
Every bit counts though when putting weight on Gongs

@Deadshort480 did 0.2g only fill the elb halfway, or was that divided into more Elbs?

That .2 was placed into the ELB and then I tapped the ELB down onto the table and capped it off. I got 3 huge clouds, stirred, got one more, turned up the heat, stirred, got one more and the ABV was nice and even chocolate.

The result was that I was done for. I would use the term extremely high.

Smooth sailing while I'm inhaling... VAPOR
So I received my EVO today:clap::) and for the record I never owned a cloud, and bought in to the IG campaign because of the testimonials from all you FCrs. You see I have a few very large pieces plus a mobius matrix bubbler. The mobius worked great with every vape I owned (EQ for most of the time, then Sublimator, now evo) but evry other piece, which I love:love:, didnt work so great with my vapes. The subs a little scary on pieces that are not 90 degree joints (my opinion). All this being said the EVO milked up every one of my pieces even my blue dot (which is beyond huge for a vape). I am very pleased. Oh, it also smacked me in the face like a mo fo:rofl: Very satisfying but different from my other vapes ( hence my love for lots of pieces and vapes)

All that being said I expected more. Maybe its because I have not dialed it in yet. I really enjoy it, the abv is even, the temps are very consistent (you can get light or dark abv), It heats up fast, I would say 2min is ok but for me 5min had better results and 10min even better. The top gets really hot but the bottom is quite cool. Do not let my first comment scare you, this thing kicks my EQs butt in every way, Much less harsh when dry by comparison. Its different from my sublimator (more testing before I decide who is King). I enjoy it because of ease of use: select temp, turn on, wait 5 min while packing elb, insert elb, attach favorite tool, BLAST OFF:mmmm:

Sorry about the length and rambling, I am very medicated. I know everyone wanted to here about this and though I am not a high ranked member I do know how to vape:leaf: so I thought those who have used clouds would enjoy this and those who have not may find it helpful. Its a great vape. Any tips from former cloud users would be appreciated if you want to just throw a em out there or tests anyone wants me to run, lemme know, but I do need to conserve. Again sorry bout the rambling, Keep Vappin:spliff:

Oh and thank you SM for the two day shipping and fedex tracking and making an amazing vape. Keep on blowin minds dude:rockon:

What up FC? My first peak at the EVO thread is right now, and I already have an EVO in hand. First impressions are very good, and damn is the EVO light weight with a quick heat up. More to come from me after a deep weekend of beta testing to follow an Old School Krazy Review sometime next week. I shall leave no bud unturned in my deep analysis.

Glad to see some of the other fanatics are getting some nice pictures for you all to look at.

Sorry for the double post but i will do my best next week to compare and contrast EVO vs. OG. My initial impression is the heat retention truly was improved, a tough task considering that the OG already had one of the best if not the best heat retention on the market (supreme comes to mind also).

Combustion has been achieved at 3 o'clock setting. Embers came out as I emptied the ELB.

So far, I'm finding 12-2 to be the sweetest of spots. It's good to know that I can pump up the heat for hash and concentrates.

that's what i wanted to see!
i mean of course that's not the goal, but as you said, concentrates.
you can always drop temp, you can't always up it.
extraction looks fairly even and that's more important.
are all you guys fanboys and fanatics?

Just an FYI the new EVOs will be running hotter than even the old "hot" tickers. For dabbing, I like waiting maybe another minute or two after the green light comes on at maximum temp. There may be a few OG Tickers out there that run even hotter but those had what we call the "runaway firmware" that makes it get that hot.

Also, the unit is designed to be held by the bottom half. I've had it on MAX for over 24 hours and the bottom half is relatively cool to the touch. The upper portion does get pretty warm but the VapeXhale wristbands are good insulator!

Sorry to keep posting. But i am one of the few who has one of the OG's that runs hotter. this has been my designated concentrate VXC for the last several months. This again will be something i can address, but i havent used it in a couple weeks.

Yeah shit quality image I know. I took a video originally, but it is stuck sideways, so I screencapped the video on my computer for now because I'm clumsily medicated I guess you could say.

Thoughts: And yes, this may sound a tad fanboy, sure -- but I just don't really know what to complain about yet, so these are all pretty much good thoughts on it so far.

Holy hot damn. This is the nicest vaporizer I've had yet (definitely favorite). With plugin vapes, I've owned the SSV and Vriptech. This is better to me than those because this VXL does everything that I find important the best.

I'm just gonna type a few thoughts. I have a lot of things to say but I'm pretty medicated, because the device does just that -- gets you frickin medicated.

I might as well name this unit "feather" because it's so shockingly light. This is one thing that makes me wonder about the first impressions of the unit with people. "Solid metal" has a feeling of durability with us that we're used to, but this new substance is so light so it catches you off guard. Buyers need to realize that this is specifically because it's engineered to not put stress on GonG joints. That's a great selling perk IMO, so I think it'd be good to make people aware of how it was specially engineered to be light, to enhance use with pieces.

I LOVE how little irritant particle stuff there is in my vapor hits. The ELB keeps a lot of it in there and the Hydratube is nuts awesome! Perfect amount of drag in my opinion. Hard to fill with the right amount of water sometimes but when you get that sweet spot, it's amazing. It feels like some kind of scepter. I am keeping on the Swagger logos. They do not look that bad.

The extraction is top notch. I was hitting big clouds with my brother (he's getting the black one from me while I wait for LE style). He was amazed. He didn't know if spending so much on a vape was worth it but he was *definitely* convinced after.

It is no lie that this thing gets you ripped. I have gotten LOTS of nice big vapor with multiple hits, using the ELB 25% full. I had like 6-7 of them and I have to say that for the amount, this device would get me the most medicated with it out of anything else I have tried.

I am not in the mood to proofread that, so there it is. hah

I tried using the SSV Vapor tamer glycerin chamber - and it did make the vapor way cooler for the first 5 or so mins (that's the thing about glycerin tubes, they don't last long). That was just a play around setup, I prefer just hitting the hydratube only because it's obviously more convenient, and obviously not as fragile (see pic).

Watched the last Breaking Bad episode (was saving it for a VXL session & beer) and just had a blast holding both separate things in my hand (scepter hydratube and VXL) and putting them together and just ripping it throughout the show. It's very lightweight and the glass feels very sturdy and awesome.

One more thing, that combo of light weight VXL and the heavier sturdier thicker glass of the hydratube will make the setup top heavy. Be careful about just leaving it on the vape, it's risky. I think most people know this about any hydratube.

These hits were the milkiest hits I've ever had with a vaporizer. That's for sure. Haven't had an experience like it with a vape until now.

Cloudy...
So no "clock" marks in the EVO? I will need to make something like @Deadshort480 to mine, I'm really used to them :\

Thanks for all the info and the videos guys, I have to admit that I'm so jealous right now, that I'm going to use my Cloud+ till she KO me!!:rofl:
