Now that is some serious VAS on display! I feel bad for newcomers to this thread. The 700+ pages is quite intimidating, but remember that there is a search function to help newbies out. It's helped me tons (I found this forum only this past July/early August. Note: This thread was much more informative before I got here, I'm afraid. ;) I have a recognized off-topic problem.)

Anyway, the Cloud (also OG) is the original model, the Cloud+ I understand to be like an update and not a retooling, and the Cloud EVO is the much anticipated reinvention of the original. Others might define these differently and better than I.

The "Vaporpedia", which you can find at the top of this page, is your guide to all unfamiliar terms and acronyms used here. It also has helped me out tons!

Ha! Don't worry, my friend. Most of us acquired VAS before we knew what it was. "Vapor Acquisition Syndrome." Powerful affliction, indeed.

I'm here for you if needed.

Edit: +1 on Fame's vaporpedia suggestion

VAGINGhole, wtf?! Ha!

And now it's time to introduce you to the "Edit" function @Jamesqc666 (avoiding double posts)!

Edit: Nip it in the bud...:myday: And don't worry. I double posted just a page before, I think!

Edit 2: Maybe I need to be reintroduced to the PM function! hehe. Sigh.

1st Cloud: aka "ticker" had something in the heat control that would make an audible click apparently as the heater was turned on and off automatically to regulate the temperature. VXH says the bamboo can not be replaced alone without damaging the heater and so both have to be replaced as one unit, increasing the cost of repair.

2nd Cloud: no aka. This was the same as the 1st but made no clicking sound. Presumably the relay (or whatever was clicking) was replaced with something solid state. These ran pretty hot to the touch although some people don't have this high case heat issue.

3rd Cloud: aka The Cloud+ offered some refinements: the bamboo is now replaceable without having to replace the heater, the power cord was longer, the temp knob is chrome (instead of black) and it doesn't run as hot to the touch. I also think the heater was raised higher on the bamboo to allow the working temp to reached faster - the Cloud+ heats faster than the other two.

4th Cloud: The EVO. Plastic case (Dupon Zytel) instead of metal as in the previous Clouds. Detachable power cord. All other differences TBD.

That's all I know.

Let me bounce in !! fuck studying law, ultra vires can wait, who even knows what a s.91 or s.92 is anyway ;)

IIRC, the heater is new, so it should cut down on heat up time and allow any strength of air intake to milk hits. the enclosure is a new material so it is lighter and doesn't get as hot. The back cord is detachable and will retain energy/heat for a couple minutes to allow the evo to be easily passed around before plugged back in ! hmmm if i remember mroe i'll edit

yay remembered more ! suppose to be modular so easy to replace and fix now

One weak area on the previous clouds is the thickness of the bamboo - you will see a recent post by someone who's GonG broke off. the bamboo is only 1mm thick and its heated to 600-900F (I measured it with a thermocouple). There is considerable strain the bamboo where it meets the GonG. It feels strong but its not really all that strong, especially with a hydratube full of water sitting on the GonG. It might be worth considering not using the Cloud without holding onto the hydratube AND cloud to reduce stress on this area. What I do, is hold both the cloud and tube when inhaling and removing the tube right afterwards. In other words, not leaving the tube on the cloud and moving the cloud around with the tube on it.

Plastic is an assumption you shouldn't make.

VXH said they were using polycarbonate which is a plastic. The white polycarbonate discolours so they are no longer offering it in white. So I am pretty sure they are still using polycarbonate.

Thx man im gonna go ez on my cloud :) For now im gonna use it with a J tube.

Like i said before i buy the volcano and the plenty first.Really like the 2 ( Just crush my buddy SoLo who introduce me to the vape world) but they have some flaw for me :

Volcano : smoking from a bag just get old pretty fast. The hit are so smooth i prefer bongesque hit.

Plenty : Nice huge hit but i have to always use the liquid pad for smoking the quantity i like (0.1 0.2 of flower)And wow your material go away so fast with it.

So i wish thats the cloud will be the better mix with bong hit with a normal bud economy.
