Any of these will work the only difference is the length and how long the battery will last, I have the 900 mah and it lasts me weeks before i have to charge. I am thinking of getting a 400maH like Haywood just to have something a little more discreet.

Thank you sir for the recommendation.

Any 510 battery should work. I like the lowest voltage possible. I use the auto Joyetech 510 for stealth and a constant. 3.3 V output with pure gold and Organa Labs CO2 oils.

Decided to go with the Joyetech 510 xl for stealth and battery longevity. Thanks for recommending!

You might want to buy at least 2 as they take a while to charge and it is good to have an extra. I will get the xl next time, the vape ends up being about the same length as an actual pen and last alot longer than the 510s I have. i have also seen them with a touch screen tip.

Success so far. Joyetech 510 xl & the Gotvapes sapphire atomizer are working for me. Looks super stealthy like an ecig and it tastes the best I have ever tasted for pure gold. Like honey. The flavor is way better then what I was getting from the gold pen.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
My dispensary now carries something called Pure Gold Plus that looks just like PG, but darker. The guy at the counter said they were the same except the Plus was less runny and less likely to leak in equipment.

Anybody know anything about the differences, if any?

I don't think less runny but I haven't compared. I think the Plus has orange oil/flavor added back. I assume to improve its terpene profile. Mostly about taste I think.

Asked TetraLabs directly and got this reply:

"The difference between PureGOld Classic and PureGold Plus is that in PureGold plus we leave the terpines in hence the much darker color."

OK so I got my sapphires. Can I put a 1/2 gram of PG in there or does it need to be a full gram?
And how do you grind off a little on the Ego-cone? Like a dremel attachment? I see that it doesn't fit through though.
And what are the stickers for? To cover the clear window on the cart?
I pull out the blue plug...squirt it in...and replace the blue cap?

I haven't heard anybody say they like the taste of the Plus more. Sounded good to me but got no recommends.

I follow Haywood's recommendations in this thread. Start with 1/2, when it get to 1/4 add another 1/2 so that it is now 3/4 full. When it is down to 1/4 add another 1/2 and so on. When it starts to clog or becomes hard to draw vap until cart is empty then toss.

Pure gold plus just has terpines but still tastes the same. For me, the plus has a better effect.

The covers are for more stealth. Most people do not use them. There are also parts you can peal off to still the amount of oil left. Go back a page to see a picture I posted with one on and one off.

The blue cap goes back on.

but the blue cap goes back after filling, right?
edit: well it must or it would spill right out.
Yeah a full gram is too much. I had read his formula but I thought it was 1 gm at first then down to .25.
Looks pretty slick and runs on my sticky lipz (POS) battery (or at least I am keeping my fingers crossed). If this works I will give the Plus a spin next time.

Taste is pretty stale. I guess it is partly the glycerine because I tasted that in those O-pen travesties too. Does anybody put ecig flavor drops in there? I could see that helping take away that weirdness plus helping it smell more like a real ecig for stealth. I just wouldn't want to ruin the whole load if it isn't mixable. Like a strawberry or coconut with 0mg nicotine?
I do like the total absence of smell and the high is balanced (but exceedingly bland). For stealth I think I will use it but I missed the flavor of a bho right away.
The sapphire does work great.

Yes, the cap goes back on after filling. Also, note that every now and then, the Sapphire seems to produce very little vapor, even though it's got lots remaining, the battery is good, and the draw isn't clogged. You can fix this by popping off the mouthpiece, removing the blue plug, and then putting the blue plug back in (as well as the mouthpiece, of course). This will "fix" the vacuum lock that's preventing the PG from wicking properly. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, you'll know what to do.

I used a Dremel to grind down the mouthpiece end of the eGo cone a little. I'm now using the actual "Bud" manufactured cone for the Sapphire, which adobeWan got for me from a friend of his in Australia. (It seems the only place any of us could find that sold them was in Australia, and the place didn't ship out of the country. It was a wonderful fluke, and fuck combustion's internationally connected membership, that let it happen).

Pure Gold mixes pretty well with Propylene Glycol (and Vegetable Glycerin), if you're looking to mix some zero nic e-juice in for the flavor. I would suggest starting with very little e-juice in the mix (i.e., mostly Pure Gold), and use an e-juice base of anywhere between 100% and 75% Propylene Glycol (meaning anywhere between 0% and 25% Vegetable Glycerin) as a start. Any more Vegetable Glycerin and the mix will be a bit thicker than you really want. Shake well.

Yeah the sapphire draws weird right from the very beginning. I will keep an eye out for that phenomenon.
Oh so shorten it from the mouthpiece side until it slides on? I was thinking a small round file on the inner surface too might work
And yeah I am thinking just a few drops at the most. Just to mask the taste/odor a bit. OK I will make sure to get the vege prop gly
Much thanks

The Protank 2 mini v2 work great for PG. Been using it for 4month. Made out of metal and glass. The coil is a bottom feeder so i never get dry hits. Can vape every last drop of PG out of it. NO leaks so far either. The coil is also rebuildable or can buy replacement coil heads. I rebuild my coils as a nano-coil ID of 1.2mm 12 wrap kanth 28g@ 1.4 ohmz. I use Ekowool wick which is much better then fiberglass/silica wick. Ekowool can be torch clean and is on par with ceramic wick for taste but Ekowool is better at absorbing.

Pure Gold tastes and smells nothing like cannabis. You don't have to worry about that unless you're afraid of people smelling citrus peel.

The standard eGo cone narrows a bit too much at the top for the Sapphire clearo. I just ground down the narrow part (of the cone) about one or maybe two mm until the mouthpiece end was wide enough to allow the Sapphire to fit through.

And you want to use an e-juice that's a 100% PG or an 80%PG/20%VG (or 70%PG/30%VG). Anything with more VG (or all VG) will be thick enough to hamper wicking...

Not to mask as much as convince somebody it is just a regular ecig. Its true it had no odor I could detect.

PureGOld his LIMONENE in it do not use it with polycarbonate( plastic) tanks or parts! IT will crack and dissolve the plastic...Well known problem in Ecigs. Gooogle is your best friend use it. PG his a very orange taste too me not lemons.

they are disposable tanks. I don't love the high enough to invest much more $. Maybe if that tank you got worked with CO2 oil I might consider it but prob not.

Will these Sapphire Clearo's work with a thermovape T1 handle and evolution interface with the 17670 batteries?

Cheers

Yes. The t1 with (or without, actually) the evo adapter will work just fine with the Sapphire clearo; just don't accidentally put two 123 cells in by mistake ;-)

Thanks Haywood. If I make some QWET and mix it with some Liquidizer juice It should be a nice way to see how I like concentrates before forking out a whole lot of money on a Cera EO or EL.

Been using these Sapphires for a little while now. They've been working well, no leaking which is the problem I was having with my Protank minis. Unfortunately I had an issue tonight where a cart shorted out two of my batteries. the batt I had it on stopped working, I just figured it needed a charge. So I swapped the Sapphire to a freshly charged battery and it immediately stopped working. Neither battery will light up or fire at all. Bummer. Just thought I'd throw that out there to warn anybody using these.

I dread that. How would you get the PureGold back out?

Sucked it back out with a syringe and injected into another cart. There was some loss but not too much.

What syringe are you using? Please link if possible.
I've been looking for a while. Finally got one but it doesn't have the draw to pull the Gold out.

Another way to get the PG out:
Remove blue plug and invert the cart into the top of a 1 gram glass jar. It fits nicely in the top but doesn't go all the way in. I put it on a plate and stick it in the toaster oven at 120º (low as it will go) for 30 mins. The PG empties out almost completely into the jar. Also works with anything that you can get to work with the cart, not just PG.

Take a close look at the bottom of the Sapphire (the 510 connector). If the center piece gets "pushed" over so it's not centered, it will short out whatever battery you attach it to. You can move it back to the center pretty easily with a toothpick. If the center piece moves around freely, the Sapphire is bad, and shouldn't be used.

You might want to consider an inexpensive DVM (digital volt meter). They can be had for $10, and even the cheap ones (the $10 ones) are good enough to tell you what the resistance of your atty/carto/clearo is. If you get into rebuildable atty's or just want to be able to read the resistance of any of your clearo/carto/atty's, there are dedicated "testers" that you just screw the atty into and the tester tells you the resistance to the tenth of an ohm.

My Vision Spinner batteries survive a dead short (once it's removed).

edit: Here's a link to a USB powered dedicated ohm meter for testing 510 and 808 atty's. It's $15.24, but if you use the coupon code "FOCALECIGVAPORJOES" (I don't make these up), you'll get a 15% discount and pay only $12.95. Shipping is free. I have not ordered from them, and my tester is different and I haven't used this, just read about it.

Note that this particular tester does NOT have an internal battery, and must be powered from its USB connector. There are also battery only testers (no usb connector, uses typically two AA cells or two 14500's or something like that) which are avail for about $10-$15 each, and there are versions that come with an internal battery and recharge via their usb connector for about $20 each.
