I'm very impressed with the MFLB. I was tempted by the Arizer Solo, ordered it and had great angst for not getting the MFLB, so I ordered that too and got them both at the same time. After using side by side for months I find I reach for the MFLB more often, even at home where the AS was meant to be used more. The quality of vapor is better than AS; less quantity and less visible, but tastier and potent. The convenience and portability can't be beat. It's so easy to use in public without drawing attention. I wouldn't say I have the MFLB mastered, but I like the manual control and immediacy. And it's a warm, organic object made by hand machining, which impacts the experience of an appropriate send-off. It's just always seems like the way to go, and it's a choice! :)

What I'd like to see, or perhaps someone can point me to a solution, is a finishing grinder for high capacity grinding. The small one is great for loading for one flight, but I prefer to have a week's stash of fine grind, life is simpler that way. The small is hard for my old hands to do more than one or two at a time. I do not like resin-robbing, powder-packed coffee grinders, but the size of the finishing grinder output is just right. I have the space case grinder which is fantastic for high volume grinding but not fine enough for a finish.

I used a cheap $15 walmart coffee grinder. It's the Hamilton beach one they all seem to carry. It has a clear top with the blades up there too. I could turn 4 grams into dust with a few pulses. Don't get any other type of coffee grinder, burr grinders will be a pain. The whirrly blade top-load ones work best.

Edit: just noticed you didn't like coffee grinders... Resin robbing? I don't think so. It just sticks to the lid and you can brush it off and back into your stash like I did?

I'm with the Q man here, I use the same grinder (but not from Walmart.....). As long as the bud is well cured going in I too find no sticking issues. A small 'camel hair' brush sweeps it out nicely in a few seconds. I cut the handle back to make it more handy.

However, I recommend smaller versions like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P15LX0/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A368LE113Q5PAL

I do half a gram to a gram at a time in mine, usually a time or two but of course there's no hand issues going on being battery powered. I dump it in a tin to let the last bit of moisture escape before metering it out into dram vials at .125 (.12 to .13 on my scale that reads up to 10 grams in .001 steps). I'll make up a couple dozen of these premeasured trenches at a time, easy to carry and use later. Very easy to do in fact. I 'tare out' the empty vial (they all weight a bit different even squeaky clean) with a plastic funnel stuck in the top. Then scoop in about .1 or a bit more by volume and 'trickle a bit more into the funnel to bring the total up into the '.12 something' window before poking the herb down the funnel with a stick and capping it. Maybe half a minute each to reload?

For field use I carry two vials and two fresh spare batteries in a four AA case. Guaranteed performance in a little case.

I sue clear ones too, but kinda like the Amber.......

Much faster, easier and more consistent than 'the old way'.

Is it telling me my buds aren't dried enough when the first two draws make a foggy formation on the window above the trench? Or is it normal

That is my favorite part of the LB. Love that the first couple draws get more "foggy" and you can watch as you draw out that sweet vapor. Has happened for me on everything I have put thru it both really dry and slightly moist.

Also have to give a shout out for the PA2. You can almost feel the power when the light shines super bright after you push that button. The only problem I have now is using it with my PowerEx batteries seems disappointing. Off to order a pair of glyphs I guess!

If you see condensation that clears away when you draw, and you're sure it's NOT vapor, then yes. I actually had that happen yesterday when I picked up a new batch of goodies. Stems snapped but it was cured for smoking, and I wanted to drop the moisture content even more.

I just ended up leaving the jar open overnight and it's all good now. You want your stuff to be dry going in for best performance.

To anyone who doesent have the glyph batts, please do yourself a favor and buy some! I cant say I was a fan of my magic flight and it did sight around with no use at all for about 6 months. Then I heard about the glyph batts and ordered them. I was getting WHISPY hits from the original batts no matter how long I held the power on or what type of bud I used. I put some MEXI brick in there with a fine grind, popped a glyph batt in and what do you know. Within 3 seconds there was a nice stream of vapor coming out and I was producing clouds very easily. GET THE GLYPHS!!!!!

Is this what you are talking about? I have a couple of these, but only use them while using my HA with a gong.

It wouldn't be easy to use a WT like the one for the pinnacle by VaporBlunt because you would have to hold the MF water whip adaptor on the hydrotube with one hand and work the Box with the other. Possible to do but I haven't even tried to do it with mine. I think there are better options.

I've got the pinnacle water tube. If you rip the screen out of the pinnacle adaptor and shove an mflb whip into it (with a half length draw tube in it to increase the width) it sits perfectly and holds in place well. It's not the most beautiful of solutions but it works pretty damn well. If I get a chance ill post some pics after work.

thanks, dave. pics would be really nice. so you used the silicone whip instead of the water pipe whip, right?

So I've just got a very short bit of whip but you could use a longer one, to shake I disconnect the box. The connection holds the weight of the flight box so no probs there.

I'm pretty chuffed with how well this fits, It means the £35 i paid for the PNWT included an (unofficial and not so pretty) 14mm adaptor for my MFLB. Nice.

How do i attach pics? Stupid question sos I'll sort this post out later

Or the magic flight water pipe adapter that doesn't use a whip might work well. The angle would allow you to watch the box while you take a hit but it might be too much of a pain to hold all 3 pieces while manipulating the battery/pa

Edit: after looking again you'd have to be able to use the water pipe adapter upside down to do this and I'm not sure that would work because I don't own one

cheers @Quetzalcoatl

Can't wait to get a solo (crimbo i reckon) and really test this PNWT. Its OK on the Launch Box but doesn't really suit it. The draw isn't restricted enough and the design makes it hard to do "sips".

I drilled a hole in a big glass bottle (One of these
8982_1.jpg
) and stuck the whip through it and thats by far the best water tube I've used with the box. Because the hole for the whip is a bit small it restricts the draw speed perfectly. And the shape means the bottom fills with vapour and you don't notice till you clear the thing and BOOM! RESULT.

Peace!

In spite of using the Magic Flight water tools (the original, and the "whip" system)...the best water filtered hits I have had using the MFLB were using a home made tool.
I used a plastic spray bottle, and a traditional MFLB 1 ft whip.
