seems like its here tomorrow or tuesday! already passed customs. was a faster shipping methode than i've expected

you've got bigger kuhunas than myself though I would try the vape once but not buy it. no telling where/what it is made from and elusive type copycat designers ATM. I guess the performance will tell the tale but not knowing materials and specs etc then it is a crap shoot just like anything in life

i haven't. paid for shipping and taxes only. wouldn't invest more than that myself, but someone must give it a chance, right? only concerns i have is that i don't know the davinci, so i can't compare them very well.

For all international customers please note that the Sonic is only 110V therefore you will need to invest in a transformer if you live in 220V country.
I don't know for sure where the unit is made but what I can share with you guys is that I've contacted them with a wholesale enquiry and Vapornation replied back to me. I think they are behind the making/distributing of the Sonic.

Yep, very sure: here's the conversation between myself and Joe Harris (Account Executive at Vapornation)

Hi XX,

I am writing in response to your inquiry about the Sonic Vaporizer.

We are the exclusive distributor of it, and it has been killing for us lately. I can do them for $XX apiece...

Please call or email if you have any questions at all.

Thanks
-Joe

Hi XX,

The unit is 220V compatible with a simple convertor.

Thanks
-Joe

and my reply to him:

Hi Joe,

what do you mean with a 'simple convertor'? The charger is only 110V and customers would have to buy an additional step down power converter?

Hi XX,

That is correct, it will need a convertor to work in South Africa.

Thanks
-Joe

Here you go...now you have it all ;)

Making is entirely different from distributing. If Vapornation has anything to do with the manufacturing I'd be surprised. This is clearly another 'copy a successful design' vape, and the company, judging by their website, is clearly unwilling to disclose their location, so I'd bet big bucks they're in China. I would personally avoid this brand unless Vapornation (or another reputable dealer) is willing to handle warranty claims.

Hi everyone new to the forum, been vaping with a magic flight for the last couple of years. i bought the new sonic and have been using it for around a month. please feel free to ask any questions regarding the sonic. So far for me there is good and bad. the build quality is not great the housing around where the brush holder has cracked already making the brush holder loose and the top part of the vaporizer has started to lose its paint making the light inside the vaporizer visable. the battery on average will last for 3 maybe 4 bowls. i am vaping mainly around the 380f temperature. the vape does produce vapor clouds but nothing to get too excited about but it does the job. the mouthpeice is rubber and does affect the taste but it does mellow with age. i have messaged the sonic owners via their website but have yet to receive a reply.

I just recieved my unit!! Will post a review soon!! I don't really have any experience with it yet...but I have no idea what you mean linus. looking at my vape idk how the light can be visible with the lid closed? even if it were to lose some paint? do you store this bad boy in a bucket of rocks?

no i look after items i buy. i just cleaned the area once a week. you will see when you start cleaning yours. the whole area that flips open has just a thin layer of paint on glass, i still have had no reply(over 3 weeks)from their website so do not expect the warranty. the plastic smell/taste just eases with time but will always be a slight issue for anyone who disliked the similar davinci design.

similar davinci design- not- the davinci smell problem was the packaging and the unit absorbing the packaging funk smell while being contained in the package. once there was a chance to air out it was fine. maybe try the same with this device.

Not a suprise to me, since they're clearly hiding their location.

so the davince has the same problem?
My DV was one of the first ones shipped when it was introduced and never had off gassing or any odor. A friend's unit fared just as well.

I don't think the Davinci issue had anything to do with packaging IMO. It was parts from within. I've never seen any vape have a smell issue from packing. The biggest issue for the davinci, again IMO, was the lid. It made cleaning and filling a challenge.

I will say this, the original kicked - it had lot's of power. Not so much as far as holding a charge but with that being said when she was charged she kicked fucking ass.
