Vaporbrothers Dabbler & Eleven Pen

SlinginPaint

As Above ∞ So Below
We've noticed this as well when testing heaters before we ship them. The coils on the original heaters did not have as many wraps and those heated up much faster than the later version with more wraps. I believe most of the recent stainless heaters didn't have as many wraps as the black heaters. So that may account for the slower heat up time.
:D

Quick question VaporWarehouse: He had said he was using a Stainless heater on a Black Battery... I thought this was a no no per an earlier post by VB.. am I wrong?

On another note... Today I had an idea on how to get all the goodness at the bottom of the ceramic cup to the top. A 30-40 second blast of the heater cartridge using a hairdryer on HOT and LOW, holding the Dabbler by the battery and alternating from upside down to sideways, allowing all the residue and un-vaped EO to form on or under the coil or get soaked into the glass rods. I pulsed the button for half a second every now and again so the EO could be pulled into the coil more. now i can actually distinguish the walls against the base of the cup, and have got at least 5 solid rips so far.

It works just fine for me, I believe they said dont try using at VB heater on another brand pen or vice versa, which voids their warranty. The reason I got the extra stainless colour heater was so I could have separate heaters for some different concentrates.

You are correct in remembering that and we have it listed on the site. This was a small issue at one point and I believe it has been resolved. But until I get some sort of official word from the powers that be, I will leave that info on the site.

This was with the dabbler fully assembled?

When I ordered the customer rep emailed me back and asked why I got two colours, I explained and wasnt told anything about not doing so. Hopefully this hasnt been affecting anything/wont in the future.:|

That was me you spoke with. And that was a very clever use for the two different color heaters. check out the Vaporbrothers instagram page, I think you will find a photo or two that may put your mind at ease. ;)

I haven't been told that info yet. I know something with regards to a globe is in the works.

I want to ask something here, everybody. We could introduce a globe that works with the Dabbler. Yes the globe hits are fantastic. But all sorts of similar looking globes are everywhere selling for half the price. A Dabbler compatible globe would be better- thicker wire, consistent bowl, every piece heated up and checked by us. The ruggedness and reliability would be better. But there's tons of other shit out there that looks the same and often works fine. Would you still buy a Dabbler globe?

Just took a few decent rips off the dabbler, so dont mind my stonedness while i ramble. But vaporbrothers lets be honest, screw the globe, im still gonna get one but screwem. You guys as a company have the know how and tools to come out with something way sweet than all those asian shit knockoffs excuse my french but you guys could come out with something different than all those brands, take control of the vape pen market.big bowl more hits , more coils better vapor production, cleaner, longer lasting, better whatever. do something that will make people want pay for your quality product that will make medicine whatever you want to call it taste like it should. thats my point of view. I see a ton of products like your dabbler but not many other companys can give the service and quality you guys do at Vaporbrothers. this is 2013 getin close to 2014 we need some revolutionary shitttt. show us whatchu got:puke:

I'm not really qualified to answer your question about globes, having never tried one and being ignorant of how they might be better. If yours would just be a better quality "us too" product, then I would much prefer to see you develop the Holy Grail of the pen-style vapourizers: one that can do a good job on both flowers and concentrates. The first reputable manufacturer to market with a pen that can do that will have a best-seller.

I probably would, but don't think that represents the normal buyer. I suspect most buyers are not well educated on the topic? Most hover between lowest price and impulse buy. Few would seek out such a globe I think.

And a conventional globe would spoil the size and appearance of the Dabbler IMO.

Globes are fun to watch and all, but rapidly get gummed up. I have one with a neat built in cover for the heater that doesn't leak vapor so the glass stays clean.....but then there's nothing to see......

My advice, too, would be to 'stick to the knitting', build on what you have no reason I can see to try for even the best spot in a whore's market?

Don't play in their game, make them play in yours.....if they can?

Ok so I know the dry herb attachments are mostly bogus but heres one from cannastick they claim is for dry herbs. I love my concentrates but with all this uncertainty up in Canada with our dispensaries and what not I would like to know I have the option for vaping my bud if concentrates become scarce and i am unable to produce them myself efficiently. this attachment looks promising, maybe vaporbrothers you could look into making something like this as others have said before, but under the quality you guys produce. i have seen simliar setups for vaping just concentrates with the tube down the middle so potentially this piece could do both herb and concentrates. obviously not the best option but doable. My only concern with that attachment is the fact of is it actually vaporizing or are you just straight up smoking?

Hmm I tried thinking about this, and came to the conclusion that you would need two separate vapor paths. The best portable oil vapes have some kind of porous wick and inevitably clog and degrade with time, and trying to use an oil heater for flower would corrupt the taste of the flower.

The best portable flower vapes use convection and conduction, but to preserve flavor they must be perfectly cleanable (the easier the better), something an oil vape could never be. Thus I think a 2-in-1 vape really would have to be two vapes in a single device, and I'm not sure that would be preferable to two devices each optimized for one function...

What would that price be approximately? If I were to buy a globe, it would be a dabbler globe.. the deciding factor would probably be the price point.

That said, Damn I love this dabbler! I still have yet to touch anything else since I got it. It I is almost too easy and discreet (other than the coughing) I take it literally everywhere, but some how have gone through less than I am used to in the same time span. My only issue is the case, which would pop open all the time, but that is kind of inherent to the design, so I ditched it after a few hours. My wife loves it too, I may have to order her one in filagree soon!

Awesome awesome awesome!

I agree with you totally. in all reality i would just as happy to have a normal heater/globe whatever and just a separate attachment for flowers an an option still keeping the pen discreet in a sense. a 2 in 1 just really isnt viable at the moment. to make this pen complete i think it needs to be able to vape flowers, so it can dabble in all aspects haha

IMO, I think those globes are just a fad. I understand they're relatively new, and people want to try them out. I guess it's kind of cool to see the vapor, some of the globes even light up different colors (if you're into that sort of thing). But to me, there are more negatives than positives. First off, a pen vape is made for on the go stealth so why would you want a glowing vapor filled piece of glass? Secondly, GLASS BREAKS...any questions? Lastly, the globes are just another thing you have to clean, they get dirty and gunked up rather quickly. No thank you. I like my Dabbler just fine the way it is! Stealth, functionality, efficiency, good taste. Ease of use, relatively cheap.... What more do you want??

The Globe is just Eye Candy..... Icing on the cake.
Truth is they can clog somewhat and be extra cleaning.
I agree it is not a needed development, but is fun.
We can play with all of the after market stuff until you think it's time for
"development"

My apologies ,
I thought it was your company involved with the globe .

Yes , I would be interested in purchasing one , along with your dabbler .
I like stealth , but I like those big hits that seem to collect in the globe before you hit it .
Especially at home , stealth is not needed . The Helix is intriguing also , but I feel it looks to big .
Cleaning it wouldn't be a hassle , iso + salt .

Anyhoo , the Dabbler is what I'm interested in .
Accessories can come later . I want to try something different from my Omicron Light . ( carts )

Plus I saw Mr. Vito using it .
And if it's good enough for Vito , it's good enough for me .

You can buy globes on FastTech.com for like $4.50 a piece. How much "tinkering" could go in to make them worth $25-30, I don't know.
But if you're itching to try one, that's pretty cheap if you find out you don't like them and toss it out.

I would like to know I have the option for vaping my bud if concentrates become scarce and i am unable to produce them myself efficiently.

Hate to say it in this thread but get a Magic Flight for this purpose. Or an Arizer Solo or Thermovape.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't see a pen on the horizon that will do anything but combust flower. I know the Persei with the right attachments can do this but the Persei is hardly small or discreet when used this way. I'm skeptic when any company approaches us with a pen style vape that works with flower.

I deal with disappointed customers on a daily basis that purchase a pen thinking they work for flower. Knowing they want something in the low price range I always recommend the Magic Flight. And they are usually happy with that suggestion. Plus a Magic Flight will be around years after that non-replaceable lithium battery base is dead.

As for a Dabbler "globe". If Vape-Pen can produce a wickless ceramic nail with a borosilicate tube (none of the globes I've come across are borosilicate) and doesn't claim to have a titanium coil (no coil wouldbe even better), then we may have something a bit more unique than the run of the mill globes out there.

Thanks for the input vaporwarehouse thats what i needed to hear. im relatively new to the whole pen dabber thing. I was looking at the mflb just cant decide over that or something i could just throw on the coffee table at home like vaporbros original box which is basically the same price as a mflb without the portability.

i like the idea of the wickelss bowl though that would really change the game up

has anyone noticed that if you take your finger off the button after about 5-6 seconds, it stays on for the full 10 second cycle? I have noticed that quite a bit lately if I am trying to take smaller hits. Shorter button presses are fine, but anything over 5 or 6 (nonscientifically measured) will stay on till the cutoff.
