JyARz Storage Containers

Ok, JyARman, this is for you and it's such a great idea that if you implement it in a future product, I want a piece of the action.

You have a great product and there are other great containers on the market that claim an airtight seal as well, but yours as well as all the others have one great flaw and that is the air space within the container. Yours, like many others, while claiming to be airtight, still seals IN the air that is in the container, which is far from ideal. What is ideal, is that not only will the container seal out the outside air, but also will eliminate any air on the inside..................regardless how much bud is in the container thereby eliminating the need for different size containers.

So with this in mind, check out the following product and see if you can produce this in a size and configuration of your current product line. I vision a very tight silicon seal that would down slide into the jar, thereby eliminating any air space and being that it slides down, it matters not how much bud is in the jar as the seal is totally variable. A little latch system to pull the seal out would have to be designed as well.

Here's an example on a much larger scale being applied to a coffee bean container:

http://www.paradiseroasters.com/air...medium=email&utm_term=Oct&utm_campaign=Geisha

If this existed in the marketplace, I know that I would purchase it in a heartbeat.

Yup, cool idea. Relatively easy (nothing done well is really "easy" in my experience) to implement. I think this would have particular applicability to larger sizes. There's so little air in the current size that its impact is minimal in my opinion.

I'm not taking anything away from your suggestion above but please note that this is widely implemented for all kinds of containers. I agree foolish that no one has implemented it in this market though, no argument there.

I'm still laser focused on finalizing my product line so this type of enhancement would have to wait..but it is a cool idea.

Guess it all depends on how much you put in your current container. I have not purchased a JyARz for this very reason in that I really don't want to put in anymore than a gram and putting in a gram in one of your current containers leaves way too much airspace.............in my opinion, of course. I see even twice that amount to be a concern. Every time you open up the container, new air is added to it and just sits there along with your bud and the more bud that is used, the more air there is.

I think the market could really use a product like this and the above comments could very well be marketing bullet points in selling a product such a this.

Hopefully someone will pick up on something like this 'cause I want one.

The reason why I put this idea here in your threat JyARz, is because I felt that you had a product that was most conducive to make this happen. I still feel that this is the case. Hoping you give this some serious consideration. Even though products like this exist for storage of other items, this has never been applied to this market. I think it needs it and just takes the step of airtight MJ containters to the next level.

I am giving it serious consideration and thank you for posting your idea to this thread. It's taking a lot longer than I thought it would to design new sizes but now we are really very close to done. Once I have a real product line I will revisit this idea because I think it would be pretty easy to implement.

Those look bomb proof! Glass or plastic?

And for those of you in the UK whom haven't purchased a JyAR due to shipping costs, please check out:

I'm sorry to start posting here.
I was ready to leave a rant however refrained:

The more expensive VAULT ruined a perfectly well cured strain. (or could of been me?)

I haven't tried your product however I do like the looks!

That is why I felt it unfair to comment when I realized it was the VAULT not the JyARz that destroyed the quality strain!
It started out as a mistake in Identity!

Good luck,

If I had the power, I would ban you for making me drool over your sweet nugs...yeah, I know that sounds off, but damn it, I don't care!:spliff:

And as soon as Jyarz hit Canada, I am scooping up a few.

Tweek your the coolest cat on this site.
I love the cannabis better than the Vaporizer.
The reason I chase flavor is the heavy high powered vapes wipe me out.
With my ataxia I just want a natural medication method.
Many do not agree with my approach however it works extremely well.
The JaRYz for my dosage needs seem to be the best approach.

I have TOP SHELF QUALITY FLOWERS because I hate the taste of low quality.
Same with food I can't stand poor quality.

The JaRYz purchase I made today was not planned however I'm glad I found this tread.

To protect quality cannabis is my personal goal.

I have cheap glass jars now.
My plan is to replace them with JyARz.
The cheap ones work however I have to replace them often because I break them.
So if I break three often why not just buy better quality?

So Tweek I thought CANNABIS was legal in CANADA?
Especially for medical reasons!
Bars are legal?
I don't get it I guess?

By the way, I've tried calling, emailing and chatting with the PlanetVape people and I can't seem to get through...I think I'll need to find another good partner in Canada. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Damn, sorry to hear that Jyarman. I will let them know my interest in having these stocked, and encourage other customers to do the same.

Only other place I know of, is torontovaporizer.ca . Never ordered from them before though, but have heard good things.

Having customers make such requests often is the best way, so, yes, please make a request as I would love to have an "in country" retailer in Canada because I already do a significant amount of sales in Canada and I know shipping is an inhibitor.

Thank you.

OK, enough expended time & energy on distribution eh ? (even if it wld be great for us Canucks to order this side of the border, but wasnt an issue for me direct from JyARz other than a lil extra delivery time ;) ).... I'd rather see you devotion in getting those 'minis' for concentrates out on the market personally.. like yesterday even :D

I fundamentally agree. The truth of the matter is that I'm a very demanding product designer but a relatively inexperienced one. I won't score points for efficiency with you all, but hopefully the end product will be worth the wait.

That said, I'm going through another round of tweaks with me designer partner (the people who help me with the "mechanics and software implementation") tomorrow and I think we're damn close close. But then when the design is final there's about 8 weeks of mold production and tweaking...slow but necessary.

I second the concentrate idea... just remember I hate having meds stick to the walls of my container.

JyARz are glass lined. Glass is inert, doesn't absorb and doesn't leech. It's simply the best material for storing organic material in my opinion. But it's not entirely impervious to some things sticking to it. I have tried OilSlick and other "high density" latex products. There are characteristics of these products, lack of predictable seal for example that don't quite do it for me, but if you're looking for completely "non-stick" they are the way to go ...not JyARz.

I don't have an issue with concentrates sticking to the JyARz glass since a simple ISO cleaning will produce a clean reclaim. I'm more looking forward to the airtight'ness and portable freshness in a 'small'/unbreakable medium ;)

Aha, gotcha! That I can and will provide! I received a new set of drawings today. We are down to fine tweaks. I'm pretty excited about the small size's design. Tight. What I hope will be the final protos should be in my hands in about a week to ten days. Can't wait!

Onward.

Looking forward to the future sizes you have in the works @JyARz

EDIT//
My Granny Apple Green one has a different gasket at the bottom than the rest...it is white and lifts up when I pull the glass insert out. The other gaskets are more of a "natural" colour and stay put.

No biggie really just wondered why the difference?
