Solod out.
Not sure what is cheap to you, but a lot of people are liking the Bholt for around a 100 bucks I think. There is a thread here on it.
Ill check that out, thanks. Not exactly cheap, but im willing to pay 100$ for a vaporizer that can also be filled with nicotine cartadges and used as an ecig as well.
I also would like to post a pic of my vape kit because i said i would a while ago. :)

Thats some alright iso hash oil, a bit of good Moroccan hash, a few Gs of good Bubba Kush, and a few Gs of mids.

I will NEVER use my MFLB for hash oil again. only hash and weed. My screen has a nasty stain on it. I need suggestions about a cheap vaporizer for strictly oil use. Any thoughts about the G-Pen?
I haven't heard good things about the G-Pen, honestly. Don't give up on the Launch Box for oil! You just have to load small amounts in at a time. You'll get 2-3 good hits out of a small rice-grain sized piece of concentrate than you would a large glob. Spread it out so that it gets more surface area/contact. As long as you don't put heroic amounts on it, it'll work well. I've even used the screenless tray to vape some kief that was so good it would bubble up and pop out cleardomes (it was too sticky/melty for the regular LB trench). If your oil is clean/runny, use the screen tray, it'll help keep everything together.

Got some God's Gift in the trench right now. It's super citrusy, really tangy for the first hit, but the second one starts to give off a spicy sweet hashy taste. It makes my mouth water for a bit before drying it out, but the taste lasts in your mouth for a good 10 minutes.

Also decided to add a little bit of cotton to my glass stem to help diffuse the vapor and make it a little easier on the throat when using it try. It's interesting, it works pretty well but it has started to really reclaim! I haven't noticed it affect taste yet, the oil that's collecting after the cotton seems to be lighter than normal. I wonder how I'll get the little cotton ball to vape, maybe low power in the unscreened tray? It looks funny but I'm the only one using it and it's diffusing the vapors a little bit, so I'm happy with it. Had a stoned musing of rigging up a little chamber where you would throw ground up bud and the vapor went through the herb, eventually it would be really resiny and gooey. Alright, sorry, I'm rambling now. This was described as a strong indica with enough head high to have collected thoughts. Yeah, sure. :ko::zzz:

I'd say we think alike. I have been throwing a small bud in my LB stem like you have done with cotton. It restricts airflow a bit, but when I pull that little bud out and vape it... :freak:

After using the PA2.0 for a week, the more subtle improvements have started to stand out for me. IMO the build quality and aesthetic design (functional aesthetics) have really gone through the roof here.

I like the look of the original PA base, with it's little metal tube sandwiched by wooden feet. I used to call it the nuclear reactor ("hey man pass me the reactor, this battery's done!"); it had a vibe of steampunk/woodpunk (yup, just coined that one I believe) and looked nice next to the box itself.

However, functionally the aesthetics didn't jive well IMO. It had wooden feet and little rubber shoes, and so visually it begged to be standing up on a surface. But it was light, and the connector+cord running to the box were heavy, so it rarely stayed in an upright position for long. While I like the way it looked 'standing' on a table, in usage that wasn't common IME.

With the 2.0, the base is now simply a rectangle, looking something more like an inline lamp switch. It doesn't give me a compulsion to set it straight when it's just hangin' out.

Anyone know how they make the bottom part of it?? The transition between the natural wood tone and stark black is seamless, yet it has a different texture to it that almost doesn't feel like wood. However they did it, it looks sharp.

And of course, the banana plug is fantastic. It really feels so much more solid and "finished", from the smooth rubber cover on the switch end (which bears a neat looking four screw setup holding it in place rather than the fiddly washer of late), to the superbly functional fins that make the negative connection, and right down to the positive connector which itself is now rounded rather than being a flat cylinder. The o-ring-thing surrounding said connector is also now solid rather than the previous squishy bit of plastic that always seemed to work its way loose. I also just realized that it's much lighter than the old banana plug!

It is sexy down to the smallest details!

If you felt that the original PA was worth the money, I think what they've added and refined here constitutes far more added value than the difference in price between the old and new model. And if you didn't think the original PA was worth the money, well… it was!

I agree! Seamless integration with my Watson Laboratories Research Book (don't ask how I got it :brow:)

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
So I have used my MFLB for years with no issue and was very happy with it. But I was never in the "ooh, Magic Flight is an awesome company" boat.

Until yesterday. I sent them pics of my box one day, the next I get an email with a tracking number.

Magic Flight is an awesome company. :)

Now I've had smelly box issues in the past that were solved with ISO and a couple of burn off sessions, with my new box I've been waxing it every other use with some butcher block and lavender oil, brushing after each use and a quick ISO swab after every other use and the box itself still smells like funk! Now being a med patient and having understanding loved ones this doesn't bother me when I'm at home, however when I'm out and about I try to be as subtle as possible. Any other ideas on getting the stench out? Underneath the screen is not stained with resin or anything like that, it just smells like my stash jar.

The porous nature of wood makes it hard to really do much. Perhaps just make sure your material is as dry as possible? I have a nice little "dimebag" pouch from I don't know where, it fits the LB, battery, a small glass dram, and a stem if I want. Drawstring closes and the smell is pretty reduced. With portables and especially with weed you're fighting an uphill battle when it comes to smell.

Yeah I mean I keep my herb separate in those travel sized 20 tablet Advil containers, I don't even bother with the stem when out and about but I usually keep it clean except for those extra special occasions. My herb is pretty dry and I let it dry for a few days before it goes in the stash jar, always powders. The herb itself is pretty damn stinky, especially when vaping the terpenes and all that off, the ABV isn't bad once cooked though. I mean could it just be a ridiculous amount of terpenes being built up in the pores of the wood?

how much?
$99.99 There's a knock-off version of it on pipesdaddy, it's gained the title of "The Infamous $40 Bubbler." If you're on the look-out for some glass to pair up with your LB, I recommend smaller-sized pieces. Large bongs can be milked, but you need some patience with it. Smaller tubes milk up nice and quick and can be cleared fast enough for the vapor to not become stale. This thread is fairly large at 90-something pages, but if you look back through the last 10 pages or so you can get a feel for what we're finding for budget buys that don't compromise too much. There's some goodies to be found for $40-80 that I could totally see pairing up nicely with a Launch Box

There's a video around here of a LB milking a Mobius with an oil hit, so don't think you're limited to small pieces!

pipesdaddy $39.99 bubbler (it has a detachable mouthpiece as well, attaching a keck clip secures the glass in place.

Yeah, that could be it. The LB gets warm with use, which doesn't help much either. I guess if stealth were an absolute priority, you could toast/decarb the bud beforehand and evaporate the terpenes, but then you lose the taste, which is part of the experience (plus the terpenes have medical benefits and contribute to the high!). Your weed is just dank, there's really no other way to put it  I don't want to say "vape lesser-quality weed" either. And the fact that the LB is a conduction vape also doesn't help with the smell factor.

Ill go check out my local high times tonight and see what i can put together for as cheap as I can get it. Ill report back with my findings. I see there are diff types, some coiled, some honey comb, some straight. What does all this mean? Im intrigued by the coiled ones.

Percolators is a fancy terms for diffusing the air. IE how it bubbles and how you cool off the vapor.
