I have a few simple things that I pretty much have to have to buy another portable.
1. it must stand up on it's own.
2. It must either have internal water filtration, or compatibility with a water tube.
3. It must have a clean, glass vapor path. No off-gassing and such.
4. it must be comfortably pocket size.
5. It's gotta be efficient with my herb.

If this new device fits within those simple parameters, I could get excited about this!

1. It can stand on its own, depends on which side you put it on and what side you consider standing. Meaning width wise or length wise?

2. It has a internal water filtration, in Fact its American Made glass, highest quality sourced.

3. Its clean as clean can be, Only items in the air path will be stainless steel and ceramic.

4. Depends on your pocket size of maybe your size. You know its hard for a lighter to be pocket friendly when some pants are just to tight to allow air circulation. Not trying to be a dick but its all relevant to other factors that will dictate if its pocket friendly.

5. Efficient is such a loose term. Efficient meaning its going to vaporize everything? or Efficient meaning its going to take as fast a time as possible?

Since it has it's own internal water filtration, I'm sure you have it designed so it stands in a way that it won't leak. I was more concerned with being able to stand it if I had a water tube inserted so it wouldn't leak. With whatever your design is, I can imagine you'll solve any potential leaking issues.
For me, pocket size means around the size of a modern cell phone, not much larger than what Davinci has designed with the Ascent. Of course, with a water filtration design built in, I'm sure some allowances must be made, but hopefully it's still small enough to be able to take skiing or biking or whatever. I'm super excited about your internal water filtration idea...that's truly next-level design right there!

As for efficiency, I personally only use dry herb, so I just want to be able to get as medicated as possible with as little herb as possible. I consider the Arizer Solo the current Gold Standard in this regard.

Good luck with your design, I can't wait to see what you come up with!

As long as the herbal temperature reaches 420F while hot air is passing through then it will get properly vaporized. This is the Convection version.

As for the conduction version we understand your point. If the heater is lacking and cant get hot enough it will not fully vaporize your herbs.

Any idea what size bowl you are shooting for? This thing sounds pretty sweet i just hope it doesnt have a massive bowl like the ascent/pax that needs to be full to work properly.

We are going for a .15-.30 once we have the prototypes we will then do proper testing on the size of the bowl in connection to the heaters power and go from there.

What size bowl would everyone want?

Lets hear some numbers so we can better understand what the community wants.

Let's make it extra hard, what about interchangeable bowls? a 1-1.5 and a 3+ because either way there will be people dissapointed with a small bowl or with a big bowl. Or go with a bigger bowl but provide also a reducer wich doesn't interfere with the overal working/heating of the bowl.

How about something a little bit harder?

I can design it, will look into the cost increase. If its worth it I will have it there.

you want harder? how about adding a jetpack and straps so we can use our vape as a means of transportation? All kidding aside, this thing sounds like a game changer, I'm awaiting it patiently and like your presence here alot !

*edit* one thing I would like to see on this device for sure is some kind of battery indicator, that's what alot of people are raging about with the pinnacle pro compared to the original pinnacle, there is no bummer bigger than lungs that wanna go but a vape that says no.

I love the Bender's capacity!(.5ish) I usually vape alone, so decent bowl size is important to all of the high tolerance crowd!(I would think)

Personally I dont care what size the bowl is if it works effeciently with whatever amount you put in it. Excited to see it, and hopes doesnt cost an arm and leg to obtain.:D

I could be wrong, but wouldn't a glass bowl have inferior heat transfer efficiency in comparison to stainless steel? I'm not trying to step on any toes, just wanted to add that for discussion.

That sounds pretty good to me, If it works as well with a .15 load as is does with a fully packed .3+ load i will be happy.

is the vection one for herb and the duction one for EO? also will the batteries be rechargeable separately from the device or is it similar to the ascent? and lastly will we be able to buy this in 2013 or will it be more likely in 2014? I'm looking at another portable right now but I'm way more excited about this one!

Salutations Zorbak,

...it has it's own internal water filtration... ...built-in...

Good, this certainly constitutes an exception among 210+ past/present/future configurations!

...that's truly next-level design right there!

If it is then there will be a "FogBong" option, euh... Hummm... I wonder!

C'mmon!! This is page 2 and yet no good pictures!...

:peace:

Personnaly, the size of the bowl is not really important, (i can use glass spacers), but the most important thing is that i don't have to stir the bowl or shake the device ! I prefer a small ball and not stirring it than a big bowl and stir !

Also if it's a size of a cellphone / Ascent, the stealthiness is important, so maybe a special 'skin' for the outside, so nobody can see that there is a water filtration inside...

A special air path who eliminates the use of stem/tubes/extensions for the mouthpiece (or just drip tips) is a big plus.

Removable batterie(s), with the possibility of recharging the DEVICE BY USB, WITH THE BATTERY INSIDE, will be also a big plus !

If it vape EO, an infinite system -wickless- like the SR-71 coil.....

And finally a little screw for adjusting the air inflow (heavy draw / easy draw)......

Next generation of vaping portable is coming ..................................................

Thanks for innovate, and Best wishes for you and the D9/UP tech/W9 tech crew.

If your going with glass I'd be interested in seeing into the bowl like on The Bender.
