what makes the high feel different than smoking?

Nunavut, have you also noticed that the high from vaping lasts MUUUCH longer, meaning the next day, you still feel a little bit "out of it"?

I kind of doubt that I feel "high" the next day other than the positive feeling I get from a sound sleep.
It's more like the high energy feeling you get from a healthy lifestyle and I believe responsible cannabis use combined with good food, exercise, avoiding alcohol, cigarettes and drugs plus a positive outlook and lots of hot steamy sex can't help but make you feel good and keep your immune system running strong .

I have to disagree a bit; vaping doesn't necessarely make you more active. After a heavy session, you're pretty much on your ass.
I also discovered that the high last longer and the recovery too. MEaning that you may even feel the effects on the next day, unlike with smoking!
Did anybody make a similar experience?
I usually wake up to a generous dab session before heading out to work precisely because it wakes me up and puts me in a good mood. Half-way through my shift, I get to come back to my house and do another session - it always raises my attentiveness and puts me right back into a happy-working mood.

I do this pretty much every time I work, five days a week, and have been doing this for months. I'm sure it sounds bad but nothing wakes me up like a big dab hit.

Teacher buffer: ignore my spelling errors, dyslexia and cell phone keypads suck!

Keeping in mind that this question is extremely subjective since human phisiology differs so much from being to being. I eat a spoon of abv and I need a nap, my buddy acts like im a tard cause I get a massive buzz from eating... Contrairlywise he thinks that combustion is "total extraction"... Which is total bullshit. That would be like saying a campfire is the most effecient way to light ur house cause you dont need electricity or a device to use it... Flawed logic much?

As for effects... I note this from my recent back and fourth tasters choice compairison between combustion and vapor. The rush it the brain recoiling "in horror" from oxygen deprovation... Hold ur breath for a long time... Its a similar feeling. Since combustion breaks down thc rather than simply causing its release combustion causes a far more rapid degridation that vaporizing you end up inhaling far more cbn and cbd and alot less thc. Excessive thc consomption causes extreme disassociation, confusion and anxiety in certain situations for me.

so with less thc and more cbn you get stronger antidepressent effects which is why alot of self medicators might bounce between combustion and vaping. Combine that with the oxygen deprovation from inhaling carbon monoxide (like suckn on a tail pipe in esscence) plus benzene I think that formadihide is a combustion byproduct as well...

Effectivly smoking is like "doing drugs" and vaping is like "taking medicine" doing drugs always made me feel like shit when I wasnt smoking... When I dont vape I can just tell its time to take my meds. No gross "ive been smoking drugs" effect. Which simply goes to validate the comments similar to this post.

For me its a good warmup on high temp. Screw flavor I need medicine not yummy tastes. And u know what, ive never been better. Now I just have to wade through all the sativa strains I got til I get some good indicas, then on to more trials!

explain to him that combustion destroys some of the goodies with high temps, so while it may get everything out of the plant matter (turned to ash) that doesn't mean the user is getting it all

Not only has the combuster destroyed much of the cannabinoid content due to excess heat he has gotten more than he bargained for in benzine ,hydrocarbons, poor flavour and smelly smoke.

For me, yes. It will put me down fast ! But it can be hit and miss, for instance I often eat abv on a peanut butter sandwich maybe honey too. That provides the fat for the solubles to attach too. But the other day I just poured some abv in my mouth. (im ocd so it was screened for stems and such pre ingestion) that didnt really effect me much til I ate dinner. Then whamo! I was giggly and then I passed out in bed lol.
does eating really give you the couch-lock?

I had an unpleasently intense experince with a vape cleaning ticture. 2.5ml and I baught thou farm. Spent like 40 minutes with the room spinning and I was glued into the floor through the chair.

When I could finally muster enough to get up I had to,note aloud to myself the that was tooooo much.

Didnt vape for a bit after that. It was a pretty concentrated tincture too. It would seporate into layers. I actually evaped the rest and vaped it over the course of a couple weeks.

what a fun jaunt through time that was.

I put a tablespoon of abv in a delicious strawberry-banana smoothie(homemade with my magic bullet), fell asleep for about an hour and then vaped on my way to my fiancé's cousin wedding last sat and I must say I was the highest I have been in a very long time if not ever!!!!! I did the same thing the next day but not as strong of an effect. I believe it may have had something to do with all the junk food I had prior to the first smoothie. But the moral of the story is that the abv can def leave you down and out, and it kicked in for me that sat in about 20-30 min

I think that eating abv is like mushrooms... The more u eat the higher the tolerance goes... Everything in moderation right lol

decaptain it tastes better then it smells just a little toasted you can just put AVB on the back of your tongue and wash it down . For me chewing it up isn't very pleasant . Some people put their AVB in capsules and take a few at a time or bake brownies .

ermm, what does post count have to do with experience??
.
Off Topic- Extremely common perception. I see it a lot actually. This site, like many, has a post ticker and we receive "accomplish trophies" like "Keeps coming back: You have posted over 30 posts" This system can promote user posts for the wrong reasons. Personally, I find them useless but amusing, I feel like I'm playing a Video game when I see them lol .

on topic. If you've ever seen animals running in front of a wildfire you can assume smoke inhalation isn't "natural"
I'm no doctor (I am EMT &CNA tho) I once read (HighTimes) that as soon as you breathe in smoke your body goes into self-preservation mode causing a domino of effects, like vessel constriction and other damage control. This involuntary reaction is outside of the MJ's effects and accounts for things like lightheadedness.

I assume that's why Europeans mix herb with cigs, the high is more intense with everything going on inside you.

Agree? Disagree? I'm wrong a lot and don't Google enuff.

ok, but abv smells horrible, so eating it?
a smoothie seems a good idea lol
I'm Hatin on the ABV/AVB- Reminds me of scraping resin or some other alternative. It always taste and looks dirty-ish no matter how I process. Last time she had to put the essence in soup so get it in us. In fact-You can have mine. Wifey will compost it otherwise.

I have sufficient supplies atm. Is that the primary reason for AVB reclamation? We ran out of good stuff?

I don't quite get why one would eat ABV. Either vaporize it entirely until it's dark brown or use fresh green herb for eating imo.

Don't you guys agree on this?

I know why someone would eat abv. Because it gets you high. More than one way to cook an egg right? I eat my abv spacifically because it provides the most appropriate medication for my needs... When I need that type of medication.

experiance has shown me a lot... I try diffrent ways of consumption because you cant always vape and green bud needs to be decarbed first...

Moral of my story is dont knock til ya try it... If you havnt tried it, give it a try.

I just tried some more ;)

When I have alot of herb, 1/4 oz. , I vape the first half really lightly and then seal and save the golden
yellow abv. The second half gets vaped hard, almost chocolate brown.
When I run out of herb, :uhoh: I revape the light shit and then eat all of the brown stuff
in Pizza or Pasta ( kind of like an oregano garnish ).
You have to be careful with edibles as the hit is like an hour away and if you do more
out of impatience, the high can be wicked as others have already posted.

I enjoy the effects of sativas and indicas at different times but am only able to buy one sort at a time, and I use sativa most of the time, so...

I buy nice sativas and vape them to a light brown during the day, then revape the ABV during evenings. Works great!

I know I'm in a small minority here, but I don't mind the taste of ABV at all. Eaten or vaped. When eaten, the roasted taste reminds me of coffee or a nice stout.

There's nothing like the delicious taste of fresh herb, of course, but I don't find the taste of ABV to be offensive at all.

what up friends? I've creeped quite a bit here never posted until i read this thread, but i realized i needed to post after reading through this thread.

alright so i bought a da vinci about a month ago (love it) and I've owned a dube pen vape and a knockoff launch box, i never cared to quit smoking until i bought my da vinci. well, im still smoking a bowl or a bong a day, and a personal 1.7 blunt on Sunday, i hate smoke though. I've noticed how disgusting it is and how i can take a rip of dank out of a clean bowl, but it tastes like resin..

i used to wake&bake but then id just fall asleep again. when i wake&vape though, there's no better time of day..

but looking at a ssv for $180 sounds like a good addition to my family.. too bad im in tha dark about tha ascent..
