SO Mothership posts this on FB. Man that is a recycler. Probably over $10K though.

Ahh, Mothership. They would create something like that. I should have convinced my best friend to get a Torus after all. I'm still really suprized he didn't buy it as his computer background is a version of this

picture. I've been talking to him about recyclers, and he says he likes the one in this video he made:

Man... I just want one of those for the looks

Not sure I understand about his computer background and the image.

Nice Motherships though. Much better than pure scientific...

Lol yea that wasn't particularly clear. My point was he can be a bit of a mothership fanboy... he's been talking about getting a torus for months, and then at the last moment he changes his mind. Idk... he seems really ambivalent about recyclers all of a sudden. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that his daily driver is a fully TI Mothership bucket on on a toro micro froth to contrax..... so really its all :Ds for him regardless.

I keep mentioning him because I live a bit vicariously through his high end glass purchases... that is, when I'm not at his place milking one of them :D

I completely agree with you about worked Motherships... problem is they cost as much as used cars :(

Understand. I don't have a separate MS TI bucket, but I have one on my MS dabber. I notice them configure the eggs and torus with them since they are females (at least what I have seen, maybe they make a direct inject version). I have a Toro like that, but the MS dabber with the swing is probaby the pipe I would carry in my pocket. It almost fits. The torch is bigger. And its solid. That would be my 1st MS to buy and my last to let go.

I like the Torus more that the Egg for use. However, as far as a recycler goes it isn't the best in my opinion. Its at the low end functionally, but its solid, well made and a looker.

Does not match the Hamm - any recycler made by Hamm, Herb C, Blazemaster, J-Red, and even the JedEye mini's. The Sheldon Black kills it.

However the MS workmanship is unmatched for me on well built, but screams computer design, which adds a negative for me. Laser etched, and the precision is maybe too good. With art, outside pure science of it all, I like some variance and some human error ah, influence really. Difference between computer and hand built. I know they are hand built, but it took me a while to see any difference between the MS's I bought. We are talking 10 minutes of close review between two eggs before I noticed much. Sure if I grabbed a caliber and took measurements, but... Its one brain sided - not a mix of emotion (art) and mental (science) which is now what I am after :)

Guess I am past my MS phase and into serious heady/clear mix. That is why I like to see MS putting out some nice worked pieces. But are they worth 3x my Lemon Drop Recycler from Herb C (principal in BoroFarm) - not to me and I collect. I saw one close up and the detail and workmanship of Herb C outside the exact base unit being so perfect, the worked stuff matched it. Course no laser etching...

So I rather support other blowers that put reasonable cost on their work, but if they do one for under $5K I could change my mind...

It does seem somewhat unique... I guess it depends on the opportunity cost... what else could you be getting instead of this? Is Sovereignty Glass something you really want to add to your collection or are there other artists you'd add sooner?

chillin on the couch, sippin off a 22 ounce.
Blazemaster's double recycler on ALT is the shit of shitz in my opinion!

So expensive though...

I agree, his double recycler is a nice looker and if it works 50% as good as it looks I will be happy. The single one is sweet too, hell I have not seen one from him I didn't like. That is my issue :(

I just emailed him and bought direct... Much cheaper :)
I have not received it yet since it was made to order and it take a couple weeks. I will post a couple shoots when I get it. He has a following on NWGT.org so you contact him there. One of his images:

edit: I will say the pipes on the end have lousy balance though. They like to tip with a headless nail.

I'm 100% into recycler, especially custom ones! I'm getting one similar to this:

Mine will have a different neck, some slime, some artwork and will be 19mm female (Most recyclers comes with male 19mm to put a dome on it, but this one is ment for the reclaim piece and my sublimator (: )

Interesting design - unique. Plus you can use a domeless nail nail if you want.

a matching dome comes with it even though it's not a 19mm male, however if i get a 19mm male to male, i can add it on there :D.

This is more for my sublimator than a dab set.

he has a colored version of that same piece. from what i remember not a huge fave of his, mostly due to the funnel being covered so you can't watch the action, but it hits very well. i enjoyed it, but i prefer my DR ;). just a few thoughts 'til PHrider posts

I agree with Bob's thoughts.

I actually own two worked Vertigo Pillar's. A Purple amber and the white one.
Yes mine being worked, I can't see the cyclone action, but it hits well. As a recycler it is average. It might have a bit too much perc. It is a sweet looker though.

I would buy it again. If you like the looks it is worth it, but as a 1st recycler maybe a Beer or a piece similar.

I wish i had a mothership torus like you! How much did that cost you?

They are listed as $1600, but I got 15% off so $1360 I believe. Course I bought 3 pipes together at the time. MS is hard to get more that 10-15% off. They are $5,000 min order and 6 months lead time so shops hate to cut the price.

I notice a few shops are listing them, for $1900 now. Man that's too high. The Torus is nice, but the Hamm is better and much cheaper. The input to the cyclone internally is only 2 small holes so the draw is a little hard. However, its solid and one of my most solid pieces as all MS are.

I picked up a Van Trang recycler from High Priority Glass lately. It is the perfect size for me and I really like it. Its was only around $330 or so. The recycle action is nice and a great dabber. I would put it right up there with a Beer, or any other recycler I have in that size 8-10 tall. For me that is a perfect size.

High Integrity Glass is in my city (: Been to the shop once, but they were asking 1900 for the Torus. Big NO!
