Great Scott!
I went to the gym Monday and the pain I usually deal with is happening again. Really hard to judge what is the CBD and what is me trying to work out to feel better, but straining myself. I'm still taking the gum every day. This is why long time experiments are important. I'd love to see what results other members get with this gum. I don't think I'd switch back to the tincture, but then again I never tried the stronger tincture.

I actually found a source for CBD oil that is 20.x% CBD and 0% THC, but the prices are insane. It is 50 state legal, but we are talking about $500 for a 10mg syringe of the stuff (used orally, not that kind of syringe). He claims it is the same as ingesting ~200g of medical grade cannabis at once without any high, at least as far as CBD content goes.

I'd love to try that, but I can literally never afford to spend that much.

so have you noticed a reduction in anxiety with the dixie tincture? how does it feel when combined with smoking/vaping? would taking this and smoking regular weed produce the same effects as a high cbd strain?

Its still hard to say for the effects mixed with vaping, it might be from my tolerance but I'm not sure I notice a change. I avoid taking it right before vaping but I'll try it some weekend in the future.

Looking back since I've started I do believe I've got a reduction in anxiety, but these things take time to really get fair results.

I prefer the gum to the elixer greatly. Seems more effective and I really prefer chewing gum to carrying around bottles of tincture and looking odd. Tastes much better too and I chew the gum for at least 1/2 hr to make sure I get everything out of it.

yeah that gum would be great for parties or social situations. I don't get super anxious but would like something to relax a little bit. I quit drinking because of how bad and unhealthy it is.

I'll ask my doctor next time I see him, but do you think it would have any negative interaction with a daily anti-anxiety pill? I'm guessing that it wouldn't seeing that I vape everyday with no interaction, but I do know that you're supposed to adjust anti-anxiety/depressant dosage when you take some cold medicines, magnesium, or the nicotine patch.

In my experience no interaction at all with benzo, but it never hurts to talk to your doctor.

Well my pain is back in full intense levels and I've been having the gum every day still. Gotta say that is a bummer. Anxiety might be better, but pain doesn't seem to be at all.

That sucks. Was it a placebo affect in the beginning? Thanks for the update though.

It definitely wasn't placebo. It still may help, but it wasn't responsible for me having a good week, just great luck perhaps. I will keep trying since I have the gum available. It certainly isn't hurting. I really do feel like it helps with anxiety on an all day level when taken regularly, but again hard to know for sure what is and isn't the gum vs pure luck.

So what is the consensus? Should we try the tincture or the gum first? My wife began having grand mal seizures two and a half years ago. We have been to many of the best hospitals in the north east and still have no idea what is going on.

She now has grand mal seizures at least once per week and she has low level seizures every day and night. After doing a sleep study, it appears that at least half the time it looks like she is sleeping, she is actually having small seizures, and in turn not getting any rest at all.

She also has issues with anxiety, panic attacks, sleepwalking/living, etc. We have noticed that high CBD flowers do help (much more than any of the anti-epileptic drugs she is on), and after reading this thread, we would like to try one of these products but probably can't afford both at the same time. Any suggestions on which to try first?

The gum is easier to dose IMO. See if you can get the gum. If not then go the next best thing and get the stronger of the 2 tincture options. She may need more or less. I don't feel like my short time using this is enough to provide medical advice or anything, but if CBD seems to help her I'd say chew the gum (as many pieces as you can afford to chew a day) and see how that works. I feel like if I could chew more of this gum I'd have better days. I'll be upping the dose to 2 pieces a day soon to see if I notice any more relief or anything.

Got 2 more boxes of the gum and going to try 3 pieces a day every day. Its day one and only a 2 piece day since they came in the afternoon, but either its helping or its a very lucky coincidence. I'll keep track of My results really well. I'd rather spend a lot on gum than take harmful meds if at all possible.

I've heard some good things about the gum helping with anxiety on a different forum. I am considering picking some up just hard to justify the price at the moment.

The amazon sellers are getting it direct in bulk. It is the same product made by the same people. Personally I'd just go amazon to save some cash. Each piece of gum is sealed from the factory in a blister pack, you should be safe either way.

Geez, you got me really excited about this stuff. I had been contemplating getting my MMJ card, I even have an appt on Monday, but you can't get a concealed carry permit if you have one. I ordered some tincture last night and selected the compassionate care option to get the 2oz. bottle for $120. But then I was so excited to try it I didn't want to wait 8-10 for shipping so I went to a local dispensary to buy some, but they can't sell anything unless you have a card. I emailed dixie to ask if I could pick it up since I'm very close to Denver, but they don't allow it. I'm just hoping the sent it today because it should only take a day to ship.

I'll let you know what I think when I get it. I've never had any marijuana before so hopefully I can provide a unique perspective on it. My sister is also interested. If she ever tries it I'll post what she thinks about it too.

You should feel NO mental changes in the sense that you will NOT get any kind of high from this product. It SHOULD seem like it is "not working" but looking back I haven't taken a single anxiety medication since I started chewing the CBD gum.

I'm not looking for a high I'm looking for the anxiolytic effect.

I couldn't wait for the stuff to arrive so I just bought some at a local dispensary. Is it supposed to start working almost immediately? Because I've taken several dropper-fulls (of the 1 oz bottle) now and haven't noticed anything at all. It's probably been more than an hour since the first two droppers-full. I suppose it's possible it won't have any effect on me. I noticed no effect from Xanax, but Klonopin did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Give it a few days of use. I went from maybe 1 time a month benzo usage (I actively avoid them, there were plenty of days I'd WANT to use them) to having not taken any since I started CBD products. Not a single one. Not sure it can replace a 3+mg daily benzo habit or anything, but I didn't think it was even working until I realized I couldn't remember taking one in many months.

I'd say start tonight. I really think this is a daily or morew often med. Not so much as needed, but perhaps this will be a good test.
