Anyone else have a really low tolerance?

I've always had a very low tolerance. Back in the day, my friends could always continue smoking while I would be at the point of greening out (happened several times). Now that I am vape-only, its even more noticeable by how long my stash lasts.

I finally decided to see how much I consume on a daily basis and wanted to see where you folks are at in your consumption.

I ground up 1 gram (weighed with a digital scale, freshly calibrated) of Blue Dream and wanted to see how long it would take of vaping every night before I needed to grind more. The result? That one gram lasted 14 days of vaping (not all day, a few puffs here and there throughout the evening) and I was pleasantly high every one of those nights.

Is this normal? Trust me, I'm not wishing I had a higher tolerance or anything like that, I consider myself to be blessed actually.

Anyone else out there have an extremely low tolerance?

I should also add that I am 30 and have been using cannabis since I was 15, daily for the past 2 years.

I also have a low tolerance. I used to have a v tower and the bowl would last way too long. I felt like I was wasting weed by not being able to finish it in one session. it will degrade and lose potency by constantly heating and reheating it. I ordered the cloud because I read that it works with small amounts and can fully extract in a couple hits.

If you want to keep your tolerance low ... then moderation is the key. If you want to be able to consume more regularly, your body will adjust (when I had stopped apart from casual use ... about once per week ... my usage went from 1-2oz to 1-2g per month and I got higher than I ever got going through 1-2oz/month) I'll qualify that by saying that I feel like I get the right medical benefit/balance around the 1.5-2.5g/day range so that is my goal to stay at and don't deviate much these days (avg of 60-80g/month). At the 0.1g/day range I found my tolerance was too low and I got too high when I partook (so I couldn't really work effectively like that)

I have the Extreme Q (updated V Tower) and usually elbow pack. One 75% full elbow pack lasts me 3 or 4 nights. I guess I never really thought about it losing potency but I'm guessing you're right, it probably does degrade a bit.

I see what your saying... like you need to train yourself to handle more if that is what you want. I vape alone almost all the time so it doesn't bother me at all that I can't handle much. But if I ever am in a group setting, it would be nice not having to bow out after one or two small hits. I'd rather keep my low tolerance though, I don't want to end up spending too much money every month.

I had a very low tolerance when I started consistently vaping last year. My tolerance is still pretty low but not like it was. Actually my physical tolerance might be the same but I can handle being higher, so I tend to get higher. I am definitely in a constant state of somewhat other-worldliness now. That's what it feels like in my mind, but my outward appearance and behavior is pretty much the same.

I have been a little concerned that I use up pot faster than I used to, but I am actually getting higher so it's not the tolerance that's the issue, it's that I like being high. I like the focus it gives me, and the ability to shut thoughts out of my head when I don't want them there. It allows me to be "in my own world" so to speak, which I kinda need right now because I am a graduate student. I don't see myself needing or even wanting to be like this forever but I enjoy it for now.

I use an underdog (UD) mostly at home with a little vapor brothers bubbler and it suits me fine. sometimes I'll take my PAX out with me for the day. I usually vape more when I have my PAX because the load capacity is so big. Technically I could use the PAX with one load for two or three days and I have done that, but usually I will go through a whole PAX oven in a day, whereas I would not vape that much if I were sitting at home taking an occasional toke from my UD.

I haven't tracked my usage that closely, as my hubby and I share the flower stash, and it does depend on the pain levels.

That said, I do know that when I load the GonG for my Nano, I use about 0.05 - 0.1 gr, depending on how dry/fine/packed/ and how much pain... and some days we may use one load, others I might load the GonG four times.

I do also try various strains, so I'll pick up a gram of a couple of strains, and try them - If I like them, I'll keep them separate, and vape them through, but if they are not exceptional, I'll toss them in with others of like effects, and make them part of the blend. I end up with a lot more flowers in containers than I really should!

I also use some concentrates, but there again, I've got several grams of wax, cream, oil... and it looks like a gram will last me nearly forever, as I'm such a lightweight! My dabs are too small for my scale to register, so unless I tracked how many dabs I've done (I've not done this), I will not know until I run out of something.

I vaporize roughly a quarter of some quality dank per month. I also add some edibles here and there, as well as CO2 oil and bubble hash whenever I can get some quality.

Uh... let's see... so that's about a quarter of tree, maybe 2 grams tops of oil a month, and probably no more than 3 or 4 edibles a month as well.

I'm currently on a break from the beloved due to tolerance issues as well as possibly getting another job in the near future. Thankfully I have my prescriptions to fall back on.

I am very new to all of this actually this is my first vapor pen and my first night using it. I tried the edibles but I got major headaches and honestly I didn't like the high it gave me. I've been in pain for 4 years before I tried this. I do find I have a low tol. too, I took 2 hits (very small) and I can feel the high (not as bad as the edibles) and my pain going down. This is what I am looking for. But being I do have a low tol. how long can I keep my wax in my pen or do I have to take it out?

Not sure how well-versed you are in cannabis, but if you're going for pain relief, you'd do well to get indicas if you can. High CBD strains work quite well. Same translates for oil.

I have always been like this. I remember living with just my best friend for 6 months- I worked 3 days a week while staying with family, then the rest of the week (4 days) I was at my place with my friend, high like half the time. for the entire 6 months he gave me everything I vaped, because according to him I went through 2-3 grams a month (and this was after my tolerance went up significantly). I also consider it a blessing- saves piles of money. Though recently, while I don't think my tolerance has gone up much, the way I feel while high has changed (I think I am more comfortable with it).

it is funny the looks on peoples' faces that smoke the ganga to see how little it takes to pack a vape and then how long the session lasts while using the vape and how they feel afterwards. personally I have been flexing my tolerance lately but before that I was using less, it depends what I have going on at the time. a few years ago I introduced vaping to a dude and he got an easy vape, he went around bragging how he got high off 18 cents worth of ganga with th vape. he is and was a tolerance king though now he smokes out of an aluminum pop can which after vaping seems like a major downgrade.

I wish I had a lower tolerance. I can vape through 1/2g of 25% THC herb and feel just adequately medicated. And for ABV, it takes 3gs, ingested, to get medicated, but it's a stronger longer lasting effect. I wonder what makes people's tolerance levels so widely different?

I'm not sure how well versed I am in anything all this is new to me. I did try an edible last march but I did not like how it made me feel even though the pain worked. I will try the oils, the wax worked last night just couldn't fall asleep cause I think I am use to my oxycodone so I need to get off of that and work on getting a good sleep pattern with no pain.

It's not strictly Indica's that have High CBD. I've done a lot of internet research on CBD. Athough many dispensaries have at least one, so called, high CBD strain or flower, oil, pill, edible, etc., but if the product you're either eating or vaping, doesn't have testing results available, be warry. CBD's are definately worth all their hype but what I've had to do is find a good High CBD strain; 4.26% is the highest I have found, but usually 1% is the highest around, and then vape it and/or use it for making my own edibles. Every edible I have ever tried has failed for me. Because of my high tolerance, I have had to learn how to make my own. Different strains, as you know, have individual taste and effect. Find a flower you love to vape and heals what ails you, and that's a good strain to cook with.

Strange thing happened last night . . .

So I was waiting all day yesterday for my Pinnacle Pro to arrive so I could take it out with me tonight to go see some friends. It never came, so I just said screw it and didn't bring anything with me. Ended up at my sister/brother in law's house with some buddies and I was a bit tipsy. He brought out a glass pipe I gave him years ago and we started smoking (first time combusting in over a year).

Usually when I start to smoke after having several drinks I have to stop after a few hits or I will start to get sick from combo of weed and alcohol. Last night this was not the case. We were passing around the bowl and everyone else had dropped out and my brother in law told me to just keep smoking because he had plenty of weed. So I did . . . I just kept smoking and smoking. I probably went through 1.5 - 2 grams in about 1.5 hours. I was nice and high but nothing out of the ordinary. If I would have smoked that much about a year ago I would have greened out big time and probably thrown up (even without drinking alcohol).

So, it seems like my tolerance when vaporizing never really changes and I can get the same effect day after day with the same amount of herb. But it was obvious to me that my tolerance increased greatly while smoking. Doesn't really make sense to me. Can anyone shed some light on the subject?

Efficiency! The lighter/combustion is burning away a lot of the actives that vaporizing doesn't. I've noticed the same thing, needing a lot more to achieve similar effects when smoking, but then being able to go back to vaporizing and getting really high on a lot less.

Though I can't really explain why your tolerance would stabilize for vaping... at least for pharmaceuticals, people can find a dose that works for them consistently and with minimal tolerance buildup. Perhaps you just stabilized with vaping?
