FUCK'N A.
I love this pad. I just warmed up some ABV oil on the pad to finish it off. Next I'm gonna rewet that saucer that I dont feel like scraping and try to just evap it on the pad. No scraping, fuck I'll have some type of oil all the time now. Hey I can process all that ABV I been saving, last time I looked I had right around 0.7 metric shit ton.

I just ordered my pad!

So I just pour my extract/everclear mixture onto the pad and let it evaporate, or do I need some kind of heat source? If so what would be the least expensive method of heating the pad and extract? I'm completely new to this, so I'm sorry if these are stupid questions. Thanks everybody!

New too but I think they (other oil heads not OEM) advise no or low heat for evaporation, just a fan and time. Then when its time to purge you heat it just a little to get the juices flowing and hit it with some vacuum.
I used an unmodded candle warmer, it got way too hot, quick fix would be to add a router speed controller to cut a bit of power and heat.

Yosh I just tried an everclear evap right on the pad. Worked but my abv oil stained the pad, I even tried to scrub it off with EC and a rag :( I can handle staining lets just hope nothing is moving the other way too:o
I rewetted my saucer to soften everything back up and used a silicone spatula to scrap the liquid and chunks onto the pad, in a hurry so I chased the liquid around the pad in a pyrex pan for 20 -30 minutes with a hairdryer until a tiny bit of water remained pushing around the surface. I sucked that tiny bit of water up with a paper towel then let the whole thing cool down to start folding. When folding pull it apart quick and only one side should stick. I had to heat it again once balled up and I used that candle warmer again, that load is under a vac right now. Heres to dark ass abv oil.

A good option for heating the pad is a griddle. You can get them for pretty cheap and you can adjust your purge temps for different consistancies of oil. Keep the purge twmps below 200 if you dont want to affect the potency of your oil.

I have several under-tank heating pads for reptiles and such, would that be an adequate heat source?

Also for a vacuum with the slick pads could I use a food saver vacuum sealer with their special plastic vacuum containers? Do I need to have the vacuum sucking at all times, or just enough to remove the air and leave it set? Thanks again kind folks!

I just received an email the other day from Kristopher at oil slick letting me know they plan to re-release a new and improved version of the slick sheet... I don't know specifics but I hope it is easier to work with than the original. The original is definitely a step up from scraping pyrex but it could be a little easier to work with. I'm on the mailing list for the announcement of the re-release so I'll post back when I hear something.

Sorry if this has been asked before but didn't see it.

When i am cleaning my solo stem or anything for reclaim with ISO can i put the ISO (after the soak) right onto the pad and let it evaporate on the pad? or will the ISO eat away at the pad?

Thanks,

Just passing time
I just picked up some of the slick stacks. They're much bigger than I expected, but not too big to carry around. They are really working well, even with a meager amount in them.

Hey guys, everyone using the oil slick pads for runs should check out nogoo. Looks like they just came out with a pyrex sized dish and plate!

Wondering the same thing. If they are they just made life so easy but I think they're probably silicon.

Ahh sorry, i believe they are silicon...if its the same material as the small containers. Wasnt thinking really about the materials i just got excited with the idea. I guess theyre basically pointless then if they are silicone
