Recently had to get a new straight tube.. This one has a much tighter fit but doesn't really come close to getting the clouds Ive experienced with the stem I got with the solo. Hopefully it loosens up a bit but I'm thinking I purchased a third party replacement

Hi Very high
Thanks for all the replies, guys! I've decided I'll get a reg PVHES. Now I just have to wait for them to get restocked. :p

Since I'm asking about PVHES stems, could somebody explain what the turbo option does? I've read the description on planetvape and I don't really understand.

PVHES are awesome but you will be fine with the stock stems for now. The turbo is one large hole with a lip for the screen instead of 4 small holes.

No, you'll have to wait for it to charge until you can use it again. However, the battery life is so darn long and it charges so darn fast that I've never found it to be a problem.
There is an accessory available that allows you to use it while plugged in, but I don't believe it is worth it. Nevertheless, here it is: http://www.planetvape.ca/solo-vaporizer-power-adapter.html

Agree the batts work great, but why would you consider the PA not worth it.I find it to be a necessity because the unit doubles as home unit for others as well as myself. The little bad boy is kinda like dynamite, a lot of punch in a small physical stature. With the PA you can blitzkrieg your self into the outer limits and never have to worry about using or losing batt power. You can do the same w/batts,but for only so long,Also you extend the battery life i believe if your not using it and not re-charging them routinely .I also like taking a few rips and then shutting it down and knowing Im not taxing the batts so much.I do believe even when using PA you stiill might be reducing battery charge,as they work off of each other. There is a member w/ the avatar OF.He might chime in for that exact info. But to each his own on the PA btw there are some members here who I think OF might know ,that are building hybrids 1/2 PA 1/2 batt charger, thinking these members worked out the bugs to make one and I might be wrong but I think they might be selling them as well.I also think they might have a power adapter for less than the one arizer sells,I got one from an ebay merchant authorized by arizer for 37 bucks, not great but IMO i never have a waiting period other than the heat up time to get baked, running the batts to low to catch maybe the last sesh i also hear isnt too good for them either.
supposedly you can charge and power thru all at once, but my reading skills might have not comprehended it correctly.I like the P/A and when out and about my batts are fully charged, but at home, its on the launch pad just waiting for a mission from central scrutinizer:mental: (for all you Zappa fans) for take off!:buzz:

True rumor. I measured about 80% of the current coming from the PA rather than the battery. So a charge goes 5 times longer, give or take. Maybe 40 or even 50 sessions?

While it's possible to make a system to charge or run PA (and at least two guys are in Beta test on this), it's not possible to do both at the same time. From cold dead you need to charge for 15 minutes or so before switching to PA.

IMO guys without a PA don't understand why someone would want one I think, those with can't understand why they waited so long. It is very liberating to not worry about using up the battery....you can just kick back and enjoy it.

Once I was like this, constantly worrying about being left without juice when I was at home and vaped a lot or had company... And it also got very hot after a couple of sessions and I was worried about the battery longevity... And then I got a log instead of a PA! :smug:

So i went to a Bed bath store today and walked by an ice tray that makes tiny cubes. My initial reaction was... who the hell needs those things...... I got to the other side of the store and "A light bulb just blew the balast".... came running back and went home with a few trays. In a few hours here I should have ice small enough to go in my stemless bubbler and enough tiny cubes to fill my whole beaker top to bottom.

I'd love to see some pictures of this ice setup

wanting to know do any of you pack these bowls on the stem? Not to the point of not being able to draw, but a good amount,I have never really put a large amount in my Solo, just inhaled thru the stem to pick up a bowls worth and from there ,its vapor time. My scale measures in tenths so what do some of you pack in your stems? By going a bit more than what would be considered avg. load do you find it doesn't vape as well.? I thought if you grind it fine and its packed heavy might be a waste compared to a coarser grind which I think would create more air space. Is there any results in which we can say that coarser for packing more than avg load would work or finer for a larger load.? Or should I just continue to inhale thru the stem and be happy with that amount? Just wanting to know what those who have serious time on this vape are doing and what they have found what works best when wanting to go heavy loaded.

personally I grind with a SCS which gives me a medium-fine grind then pack fairly tight. I usually weigh out .18-.2 per bowl of light weight haze. I find a tighter pack gives me better hits.Pockets of air are not good for heat transfer.

I do agree though that too fine a grind and a tight pack could well cause problems. I've never got on with the suck to fill method. I always end up with bud in my mouth even with a screen.

Thanks guys, needed to hear from the experienced and knowledgeable.Im going to weigh out the amount to .20 ,install the domed screen ala sharpie cap design and go from there. As always thanks bro's, I always find what I need because of you men, always on the ready to help out, thank you all......... bummer day today, frigging root canal.wont get blitzed,it will bug me out with 50 different pieces of equipment in my mouth with the Marathon Man drill wrecking havoc in my mouth...... best to cop a buzz on nitrous and deal w/the dreaded drool tool NOVOCAINE.....YECH:puke:but when I come home, ole Solo will take me to where its all warm and fuzzy and cozy. AHHHHH relief at last........ that is if the old piehole can navigate the WT with out me drooling all over it, I HATE NOVOCAINE!!:(

Alright, I need some help from my Solo brethren...

http://www.planetvape.ca/f-bomb-jet-diffused-micro-bubbler-tube.html

^^^this is being advertised for use with the Q.^^^ How would you guy's recommend it and I would like to eliminate the whip. I'm thinking that if I were to use a female to male 18mm and putting a cloud ELB into the male end before connecting it would work.

Has anyone tried this fucker yet?

mvapes, the Fbomb is 14mm, so you'd need adapters and therefore probably not worth the effort IMO.

Hello again. AIO is on track and PMs away. If I missed anyone let me know. Still a few left for those stragglers.

For some more fun stuff. Since I saw Dreamerrs picture of a Solo cradle, I felt that it was just not fair. :p Well, I don't have a 3D printer, which is how Dreamerr got her's made up. But sufficed with the technique I used when I was making the Stone thumbpad for the T1. A real pita but came out not too bad. This is a hand sculpted piece which fits snuggly and stays with the unit while using.

There is even a spot for a spare O ring. I made this unit with the rear connector already the standard 2.1 mm plug. Still needs some minor cosmetic tweaking but the concept is there.

Now I was just wondering if you guys think there might be a foreseeable market for this?
