I imagine that stuffed bobcat just smelled "wrong"... and looked worse, to the cats. :)

Looks like a great place cats and people .

My cat Shadow has 5 kittens about ready to restock my parents farmland. She just realized they may be a threat to her luxuries if they stick around much longer

Shadow looks just like my cat "Wild Child"s momma who was a fierce little tortie/calico baby making machine .

Brother and sister.

Monk and Lily were found under a porch (7 years ago) on their own after Mom had been killed.
Only about 2 months old and fending for themselves. Got them at a cat rescue house.
Lily is a total neurotic Calico. Monk, well it's his world and we're just passing through.
Coolest and most loving cats I've ever owned.

Most mammals and babies are born with Blue eyes.
"Everyone of us inherits his eye color from his parents, but no matter what the color is now, it may have been blue during the first months of our life. Why? Melanin, the brown pigment molecule that colors your skin, hair, and eyes, hadn’t been fully deposited in the irises of your eyes or darkened by exposure to ultraviolet light. The iris is the colored part of the eye that controls the amount of light that is allowed to enter. Some animals are born with blue eyes, too, such as kittens.
Melanin is a protein. Like other proteins, the amount and type you get is coded in your genes. Irises containing a large amount of melanin appear black or brown. Less melanin produces green, gray, or light brown eyes. If your eyes contain very small amounts of melanin, they will appear blue or light gray.
At the time babies are born, melanin hasn’t yet been “deposited” in the eyes’ iris. So, they appear blue. After about six months, eyes change color depending on the amount of melanin."
