...I don't know if you realize that this is an 870 page thread lol, i read through what i could and didn't see the tray mentioned by anyone so i figured i'd ask. I use the powerex 2700s with my flightbox, is it worth the purchase if i wouldn't be using the power adapter with it?

Yes, I think most of us are aware of how long this thread is, and how long it's been going on, being a part of it. I find it strange you couldn't find mention of trays (having posted about them a few times personally.....). Search seems to think they were mentioned 190 times....once every four pages overall? Given the trays are quite recent I'd guess it's probably mentioned on average once a page lately?

Anyway, I'm with Stu and Pak, if you're not using the PA or custom batteries (a 'second best' IMO), save your money.

Good luck.

So I've read over this thread a couple of times and im looking to make the big jump over to vaping.
Only 2 questions I have for you, I've seen that the Magic flight box can be purchased for cheaper than their own site? If somebody would send me a link with the best place to purchase I would be forever grateful. Also if I don't buy from there site do I still get the same lifetime warranty?
Thanks everyone!

First off, howdy, welcome to the fun. Good call, IMO, both times. Vaping is better than blazing, hands down, and MFLB is a neat little vape who's 'earned it's stripes'. On the first topic, be ready to stop blazing and detoxify your body and soul for a few weeks before passing judgement.

I'm sorry I can't help you on the cheapest price, perhaps someone else can. Same great warranty for all legitimate purchases. Be ware of counterfeits and 'e-bay units'. In the past they have included units with the serial numbers sanded off.....

Also be careful about 'used but cheap' units, often they've been claimed for replacement and are therefore not covered.

Also be sure any 'new' unit you get includes they new style battery (with the logo engraved on the bottom). The older style (still in inventories) is OK, but you'll want the improved ones for sure.

My advice to anyone buying any supposedly used MFLB is to ask the seller for the serial number and email Magic-Flight to check it before handing over any money. If the seller balks at that, run away.

:lmao:Obviously you don't know me very well. This cracked me up.

this is my first vaped post.
two questions before the paypal pays for the new PA for the mflb.
are there any restrictions [like the rubber end cap needed] on the power accessory. what do people set the temp gauge at?

welcome to FC blazenot ,
No to the use of end caps on the PA .
Temps varies to your own personal preference .
But I would suggest staying away from the high temps to begin with .
They can combust your load . ime

I like the mid ranges on my PA .
enjoy .

Once again, Poonman nails it solid.

Welcome, Blazenot (love the name....). The PA will make your MFLB seem like a whole new vape.

I also agree, stick to mid power at most. Lean it. You'll know when it's time to raise it.

huge thnx. i use a volcano at home, but now i'll be able to take advantage of mf's real capabilities--traveling. btw i'm in my late 60's, and i used to blaze, but only by using a cigarette filter at the end of the pipe [man did that get dirty quick!!], but that method had to cease. been fcking combustion for 2+ years and love the mf

Quick Question: After purchasing how long do I let my bud dry out before it would be ready for the finishing grinder? I know every buds going to be different but out of bag likely 2 hours I'm thinking?

You can break/grind up the moist bud into smaller pieces to expedite the drying process .
You need very dry small fine grinds , for optimal usage on the mflb .
I still use my fingers and thumb for final grinding .

Anybody have a good method for unloading the trench while out and about? This dump in the hand and hope the ABV makes it back into the container is getting kinda old.

Dump direct! I'm not sure what you use as a container, but I use a nug jug for at home, and when I'm out and about I have this little glass dram (I think that's the right word?) filled up with finely ground material to load. I don't bother saving my ABV if I'm out and about (not just outside). I justify it because 1) it's biodegradable and 2) it came from the ground and there it shall return

Now I've been playing with the new batteries and I'm more than impressed however, I did notice something since I've been mainly using convection style vaporizers I've noticed that my herbs go from smelling a little bit to holy shit that's smelly. Anyone else experience this?

I'm not sure I'm following this, but if the question is 'has anyone noticed how the box can smell more after use than some other vapes?' I'd say yes, it's been noticed. It depends, it seems, somewhat on strain (some worse than others) in this respect but I think most feel it's the nature of the wood to absorb odor and the inability to effective clean it to remove them.

Being sure your bud is well dried seems to help a lot in this area, at least in some cases.

Guys have also noticed how using the box can sometimes leave odor lingering where it was used, this has been reduced effectively buy guys taking a toke or two from the fresh trench to strip the light factions out then saving the rest for covert use. As an experiment I once did this several times, dumping each trench into a small 'dram vial' with a screw top so I had a series of 'desmelled trenches premeasured and ready to go.

I hope I covered at least part of it in there somewhere?

The herb itself is what grew in smellyness. The box itself gets a coating of Burt's bees and that keeps the box smelling awesome :)

So if I understand this right, you were able to "descent" your herbs after hitting it a few times?

I found a deal that you guys will LOVE:love:
I was looking at the website of BlissSville (The Original Distributor of Magic Flight), and I learned
That they are running an absolutely unheard of special on Ed's TNT Purpleheart stems.
While the world was charging 25 bucks for these, they charged only 22.
They are selling them now for $9.95 :o
