I'm a big fan of the LED as well, but I think for stealth purposes, no LED and a short-as-possible tube would be ideal, maybe even small enough to palm?

Doesn't LED lights , just uses more battery power ?
Taking away your vaping experience time .
Let us know clicker , I'm just waiting for my next pay and MORE vids .

Unapproved commercial account.
The type of element isn't the issue. For me it's more about the placement of the coil. It's a top coil, I'm sure it'll suffer the same limitations as other top coil devices - i.e. concentrates dripping off the wick, down the sides. And it looks to me like there's a lot of space for oils to slide in that ceramic cup. Think OG G Pen and 710 tanks.

atom.jpg

TV and D9 both produce bottom coil carts.

Just sayin.

hey y'all!
so when i came up with the design i thought for sure it would drip as well.. but to my surprise
it didn't! the ceramic cup is much smaller than that of the globe.. and due to the consistency of the product that is vaporized.. it makes for a perfect match! granted if your swimming in product and insert too much into the cup and don't melt it into the wick it can potentially drip .. after about a week the atomizer becomes "primed" and this is really the best part .. load a BB sized dab and pass it around the room in a good sized rig and it wont seem to ever run out of vapor.. usually i will load a new dab about every 4 or 5 good sized hits through a rig...do this to keep the atomizer "primed"... you will notice that excess will surround the cup and the wick will actually stand up to its name.. much like the ancient oil lamps.
I am also still amazed of the consistency of the flavor.. my customers say it is the best part about the design ..after prolonged use a good cleaning is required to keep the crisp clean tasty vapor.
this is easily done in just a few mins by carefully heating the glass atomizer with a heat gun (harbor freight for 13 bux) on low to melt out any excess that builds up.. i will make a video to demo how to accomplish this with out damaging the atomizer.. overheating too much can cause issues with the metal and glass expanding at different rates and causing the glass to crack, heat just enough to melt out build up and just like new:)

so i got the bholt 2 day in mail and i will say its pretty sweet..very smooth and flavorful works great with water pipes...i have only 1 dislike and thats the charger hook up, not being able to use it while it charges is a disadvantage with it. other then that its a good product and worth getting

Full disclosure: I bought this product at a deep discount in exchange for a fair, unbiased review—and that’s exactly what I intend to give. This is the first product I’ve ever purchased specifically for the purpose of reviewing, and I did so only because I already liked the look of it. Now, on to the review!

I was sent the Basic BHOLT Classic Vaporizer kit, which includes 1 glass oil atomizer (green LED in my case, but they also come in blue LED or no LED), a battery and heat element, a USB charger, and a cute little case (mine is purple with the green BHOLT logo). Unfortunately, my unit didn’t come with any kind of documentation or instructions—hopefully the retail units will, for the newbies out there. Luckily, I’m a smart girl who has seen a vape or two, so it was no big deal for me.

The vape itself feels pretty quality. The components all have a nice, solid feel and seem well made (with the exception of some weird anomalies on the metal part of the glass atomizer, which don’t affect the function at all). The only thing that seems like it might be a little fragile is the BHOLT glass tube, but the case should protect that (I suspect that the tube might be able to survive a small drop due to the black rubber-esque material on each end, though I’m not testing it to find out). I notice that BHOLT sells a replacement glass atomizer plus the BHOLT glass tube for $39.99, if you are the klutzy sort. But even if I do manage to damage my glass tube? That’s hardly a deal-breaker—and that’s the beauty of this pen. If you have some glass on hand (14mm female, or 18mm female with a reducer), you may decide to forgo using the BHOLT glass tube altogether.

More on that in a minute.

I was pleased to see that the secret knock for unlocking vape pens worked here, as on my O-PHOS (five clicks of the button). Being the impatient type, I was also pleased that the battery came to me fully charged. Within two minutes of opening my mail, I loaded a small dab of Green Crack wax onto the atomizer (being super careful to stay in the little ceramic cup) and slapped the BHOLT glass tube on top for my first hit. Which I took with gusto.

At this point in the review you might be wondering, “Does it work?” The answer to that is, “Yes. It sure as hell does.”

A brief interjection to share my limited history with vape pens and dabbing, so as to give you perspective on where I’m coming from. I currently own one vape pen, the O-PHOS, which is obviously a very different animal than the BHOLT. I also have a Flex mini rig that I’ve used to take dabs using a bellybutton dome and nail. And, as of yesterday, I’m the proud owner of a Healthstone Sherlock, which is my new favorite way to dab. I don’t have a lot of experience with this type of load-as-you-go vape pen beyond trying a friend’s SplitShot, which he purchased from the local dispensary for only $40 less than the Basic BHOLT Classic Vaporizer Kit (which retails for $119.99).

Unfortunately for my friend, this thing blows the SplitShot away. Not only is the BHOLT way more versatile, but it also tastes better. And I love the fact that I can a) see the vapor as it fills the glass tube, and, more importantly, b) see the atomizer and monitor how much of my dab I’ve vaped without removing the mouthpiece. That’s seriously convenient. Also? Stealth concerns aside, I love the green LED. Between the light show and the swirling vapor filling the glass tube, this pothead was incredibly entertained and could have been for hours (if she hadn’t gotten so ripped so fast).

Don’t judge me. It’s the little things.

I hinted at the versatility of the BHOLT a few paragraphs ago. To me, that’s the main selling point of this pen. After taking two big hits using the BHOLT glass tube, I decided to see how it would pair with my Pinnacle Water Tool. The Pinnacle WT is my very favorite accessory at the moment. I’ve used it with the Underdog, the Solo (my favorite mate for it), and the Firewood (using an O-PHOS mouthpiece to pair them). Basically, the ability to play well with the Pinnacle WT will earn any vape a hearty thumbs up from me.

Thumbs up for the BHOLT! All I had to do was pull off the BHOLT glass tube and insert the glass atomizer directly into the bottom of my Pinnacle WT, press the button to light everything up a pretty green, and take another lung-busting hit. The way this thing filled the Pinnacle WT with milky white vapor was INSANE, by the way. I’ve never, ever managed to fill the tube so thoroughly with any of my other vapes. It was magnificent.

Obviously I’ve got a lot more playing to do with my new toy, but my initial impression is that I’m extremely happy with this purchase. I feel like the BHOLT fills a need that my O-PHOS hasn’t for me. It’s a battery-operated tool that will let you take quick, easy, flavorful, big wax and oil hits. It’s also natural (and fun) to use with your existing glass, which makes it so much more than just a nice vape pen. For me, the O-PHOS is unbeatable for the convenience of being able to load close to a whole gram of oil into a cartridge and have that last you a week or two (this is especially awesome when traveling), but the BHOLT wins in terms of flavor and ability to deliver monster hits, hands down. Using the BHOLT is a lot closer to doing a dab than something like the O-PHOS. As far as heavy hitters go, it’s more comparable to my Healthstone. Trust me, that’s a huge compliment!

As far as cons, my only real complaint other than the lack of documentation is that the way the pen plugs into the charger is a little wonky (and it took me a minute to realize I needed to unscrew a circular metal piece before I could do so). But, yeah…that’s hardly a real complaint. It’s too bad you can’t use it while you charge it, but frankly, I have enough vapes at this point that it’s not a huge deal for me. It won’t stop me from medicating, in other words.

I will make sure to check back in later as I use this more, and report back on any issues or new points of praise. I just hope that the BHOLT continues to perform the way it has for me this afternoon and evening. If it does, then I’m happy to say that this is a very legitimate purchase for those of you who are looking for a more versatile vape pen for waxes and oils that’s also capable of delivering huge hits and tasty flavor.

Great review meghan. Now I know why I was scared of it for good reason. This seems great for a lot of people. My fav part of the vid was watching the vapor as well so I bet you had the same experience for yourself.

+ 1 on Meghan's review ,
and Ms. jam's vids .
Now I really want one , can't wait .

@ Meghan ,
Can you tell us how long the battery life is and how long for a full charge ?
I've changed my mind with the LED lights , I think Green LED would be cool as you've explained .

I can't speak to the battery life yet, as I haven't had to charge it. I took it out of the box yesterday at lunch, took a few hits, then set it aside. When I came home from work I decided to see how the charging worked, and plugged it into the charger. I went to get a glass of lemonade and when I went back to unplug it, the charger was green--that's when I realized it had come to me fully charged.

I plan on using it until it dies so I can report a bit on battery life. I took maybe 6 hits early yesterday evening with it, then quite a few more last night when I took it to my friend's house (she loved it so much she wants to buy one). Then I hit it 5 or 6 times this morning, then an embarrassing number of times at lunch for "testing purposes" (because I'm having a slight airflow issue at the beginning of my hits, which I worry might be my fault for not doing the heat-and-drop loading method). I'd say it's been fairly heavily used since yesterday evening, and still going strong.

I'll report back when it dies. :) I'll also let you know how long it takes to fully charge it when it does.

Right now I'm really wondering about cleaning the atomizers. I know bholt mentioned that they would be posting instructional cleaning vids soon...how are those coming along? :)

I've cleaned mine in an Iso soak didn't leave it in there too long though, maybe half an hour. I don't know if that is recommended or not. Didn't seem to be a problem. Then I did my standard hot tap water rinse that I use with all my atomizers. Blow dry, make sure it's good and dry before use.

**I should mention I do not have an LED light in mine, so I don't know if an ISO soak on the LED lit one s would mess it up.

have had really nice contact with their customer service, had them work out an international shipping cost, and they offered me a really nice review deal as the first international customer.

And it looks from the vids that it performs really well. Keeping my fingers crossed it will not take too long anymore before I can put down my order. Thanks to 'the crew' for helping me out.

Their customer service tell me exactly the same, they need some reviews over the sea, who will be the first to get it? and to review it?

I'm sure a few reviews will be better than one ;) I have had nothing but good experiences with this pen so far. It's just super easy to work with. I hope your packages move swiftly towards you!

ok so my atomizer and tube came yesterday. also included was the case. thanks Aaron!

as others have already stated this atty is a MONSTER! im running it on my T1 base and its amazing how fast it starts to vale. i can see my 17670s lasting forever with this lil guy. one of the small issues i have with my TV darts. they take a min to get goin and use a bit too much cell to keep it going. not with the bholt. you load it, hit the button and hold on.

this thing destroyed me on the first rip. i took a couple after the first because it was so much fun, but i totally did not need it. this is the closest ive ever come to a dab with a portable. incredible IMO.

the only negative i can find is the semi rough end on the gong. these are hand made and im not sure what method is used for modding the joint to work, but if that could be cleaned up a bit this thing would please all. but dont let that stop you. this thing is a vapor machine.

very quick and very potent rips of vapor on command. beautiful!

hey Aaron, any plans on making one that doesnt have the gong...? one that looks more like an ecig? strictly for steath of course.

this vape is a winner folks!

We have no plans currently in changing the design right now. We will however in the future be coming out with even more game changing products. I have personally been testing how stealthy the BHOLT is. I have been hitting it in clubs and other public places. No issues thus far, no one has any idea what im doing. = )
