Update:

I received a reply 2 business days after submitting my warranty claim. After I respond with pictures, to their email, I will update everyone on how long it takes from there. So far, they are holding to their high standards of customer service.

You'll most likely get a warranty/shipped email tomorrow. IME, they haven't taken more than a day to respond after pics are sent. I'm on my 3rd box after I broke the 1st one (lid snapped) and logged the second one (bong tipped, water went through the whip). They've been consistently good to me about shipping times.

unfortunatelly their replacement policy for european customers works the way, that they send the box all the way from the united states again, although i bought my here. so instead of getting quickly a replacement box from one of their european partners, i'm waiting for six weeks and counting for my repacement. i hope there will not be additional custom fees to pay. seems like summer is the worst time for getting your broken box repaced. :( i can't imagine, that an agreement with a partner in other countries would be such a difficult thing to arrange.

axakal,

vaporonly

living in a van down by the river
i had some extra 1/4" SS tubing from another project so i made a mini-stem for my MFLB about 1.25". I was thinking wood and still might try that at some point...

it works good and def don't have to worry about it breaking. compliments the color of the battery.

obviously you wouldn't want it touching the screen but i'm not sure you can even stick it that far in there

vaporonly,
Got my MFLB in the mail today. Batteries are charging as I type this and I should have my first session with it in about 3 hours. I love how small it is. For some reason when I unboxed it the thing smelled like someone dumped poison all over it. Horrible smell. Anyways, reading the instructions they make it sound like if I have 2 batteries in one pocket or if a battery comes in contact with a key in my pocket I'll go kaboom. What's the deal? Why do they make the batteries sound so dangerous?

Cause they can short if they come into contact with metal and that's not a good thing, so keep the caps on em when your not using them

Keep in mind, they are more dangerous than regular batteries because the skin is removed. Instead of just a little area that is usually the negative terminal (the end of the battery) the entire outer case of the battery becomes the negative terminal.

Much easier for a piece of metal to make the connection of positive to negative that can cause problems.

so as long as I keep the caps on em I don't have to worry?

Yes, keep the caps on the positive end (with the nipple) and you will be perfect. To complete the circuit you would need to have both the positive and negative end connected (a coin in your pocket or keys would do this.) Having the cap over the positive end means there's no way for it to complete.

I think they are, and I've used both. The logo batteries are strong, and they don't seem to drain as fast.

Thanks for your answer, I'll order a pair asap. Just wondering, are these sold on other websites than magic flight's website? MF charges 20$ for a basic USPS shipping to Canada which is twice the price of a battery set

I tried searching for them but do these new batteries even have a name? Like the old ones were the powerex 2400.

Oh wow, I'm not sure. I'm in the US, and got mine directly from Magic Flight. Does anyone else know who else is selling the logo batteries besides MF?

Directly from Magic Flight? I'm not sure if they even have enough to send to vendors... I know they stated that they had enough stock to ship all the kits with the new batteries, but I'm not sure about selling the actual batteries to retailers. In either case, it's $9.95 for two...

well I just bought a pair off ebay, it's the only place I found some with a fair shipping price to canada.

It was from a legit seller, hopefully they'll be just as reliable as those directly from MF.

Well I finally got my hands on a finishing grinder and I have to say, this thing (paired with the new batts) makes this awesome little vape into the perfect tool for me. I love the new ritual of grinding one trench at a time and I am so happy to not have to use the pain in the ass nano grinder anymore. Those first hits always remind my how much I love this thing especially through the infamous bubbler, smoothest hits ever.

So i was at a LHS yesterday and picked up a concentrate tray. Now i just need to get me some new batteries, i have about $30 to spend here's what i've thought about getting so fa (listed in random order)
#1- 3 sets of the new logo bats from magicflight $30 for 6 batteries.

#2- would these work? If so i would get 2 packs of 4 batteries. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=851035&Q=&is=REG&A=details

#3 the trusty old powerex's http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817355002

Im looking for input and advice on which set to get, which would you pick, 6 logo's or 8 powerex 2700's

6 logos. The Powerex 2700s are mediocre with the trays, best choice otherwise though. Forget the Energizers.

Just wanted to comment saying I'm impressed as hell with magic flights customer service. 24 hour turn around and my box is already on its way.

That seems the norm. Which, I think, is why the occasional 'they've been ignoring me....' posts don't seem to fit. IMO an outfit that routinely goes 'above and beyond' doesn't usually do an about face like that without some other factor in play. It bothers me some that it seems like folks sit and stew about it, to no useful end.

Anyway, you're right. Top notch Customer Service, a benchmark for others to shoot at, I've no idea how they might exceed MF?

After the first time I dealt with MF customer service, I was immediately hit with the thought "Damn....That was easy....and hassle free....and fast......and they were so nice...."

It was as if they thought I was the owner's son or something and didn't want to piss off the boss.

:peace:
