Well, guys, reporting in on how the new (to me) Logo/Glyph batteries work. In a word:

FANTASTIC!

Absolutely blew me away how powerful the new batteries are. So powerful, as vapirtoo warned me, I had to really watch combusting. I was experimenting with both inhale speed and pulling the battery out and back in. Works great.

I'm really glad I upgraded to the new batteries. They are really helping me fall in love with my MFLB all over again.

Hey Dabs,
Glad that you like the new batts.
They should perform well for at least
the next six months.
I'm getting a powerex charger that will
continually recondition my batts and display
their strength while giving them more life.
You have both of my favorite vapes!
Great minds vape alike!

While we're on the topic of batteries, I received my MFLB branded 2 or 3 days ago (along with my warrantied box and other new accessories), but haven't had a chance to use them. Does anyone recommend running a break-in cycle on my c9000 charger? Or do you think they'd be fine with a discharge and recharge before using? Will probably be getting some "box fuel" tonight, so I don't really wanna wait 16 hours for the break-in...

what are the best batteries to get and where? I am still not seeing the MFLB as so great. I can't be sure if the orig batteries were sealed with MFLB branded. I think not. I got it on ebay with 2 extra batteries. since Jan. I never see the material that brown color. I don't get a super potent exp. which is ok i have adjusted to less is can be better. BUt now the issue may have been the batteries? I really can't afford a new unit of any kind anyway so I will stick to the MFLB.

If you can spare it, go for the $9.95 2-pack on sales.magic-flight.com

Those are the logo batteries that are enjoyed by everyone that has them. "Better" and all that. Also make sure you grind finely and that it's dry.

The Magic-Flight batteries have a Magic-Flight logo on the bottom. I doubt that's what you have, however. Your description indicates weak batteries. Try the test for a cool-running box described in the Vaporpedia entry. If new batteries don't cure the problem then contact Magic-Flight for warranty service.

Directly from MFLB rep, its all aesthetics. Walnut has a "nuttier" flavor, but its subtle. From my own personal experiences with wood stocks and such... you won't notice too much of a difference between the woods used at the dimensions the MFLB comes in. Its not until you get to much larger pieces that you might notice a difference (mainly in durability).

I've expressed this opinion before.. but I know I'm in the minority with a few others where I personally think the MFLB gets me higher than a Solo. Maybe its all in the technique. I previously sold my MFLB thinking I was getting an "upgrade" with the Solo. After owning the Solo for a few months.. I missed the MFLB and sold it again to get another MFLB. Things are back on track. I like being able to vape on demand rather than waiting for a heat-up and fiddling with auto shut off since I'm usually doing things when I vape. I was going to get a power adapter for my MFLB.. but decided it was more worth it to just put a little more money for a desktop unit. Purchased an E-Nano that I look forward to test out. I'll always have a MFLB around now.. learned my lesson, but I am intrigued by the Firewood.

IMHO if you own a MFLB you should seriously consider getting the PA. It's so handy to use at home without the "Which battery is charged" dance.
I agree that everyone needs a MFLB somewhere in the house,I've got 3 (actualy 4,but I cannot find the cherry one, stupid short term memory loss...) so I don't have to look for them every time.
Bottom line,the more the merrier!

Krizzle

Hi Very high
Hey MFLB people. Has anyone used their box with the water adapter hooked up to the Hydrotube for the Pinnacle? I will be ordering the adapter once the new PA is released :) plan on using it with the concentrate tray for my QWISO.

Professional Procras... I'll finish this later ;-)

I think I read somewhere that MFLB is making a new PA, so I'm waiting on that one! Or did they already? I dunno, lol!

And I love your sig, by the way!

Edit * Whoops, I posted seconds after Krizzle - guess I was right about the PA!

I was highly considering getting the PA for my MFLB when the newest model was released.. but I admit.. the price turned me off to it. Instead I threw in an extra hundred to get a dedicated desktop unit. While I still love my MFLB.. desktop units really do perform better overall. I get clouds that I could have only gotten with the MFLB if I got the materials pretty much in their combusted state.

A dedicate desk top unit is the way to go for sure.
I just love that the lil' MFLB can be a very discrete pocket unit that with the addition of the PA can serve as a home unit as well.
My MFLB was my first Vape, and for 8 months my only vaporizer. I wanted every flavor-of-the-month one that hit the market,I just didn't NEED one. She's not the end all be all by any means, but she will adapt to your needs. She doesn't do everything perfectly but she will do pretty much anything...just not perfectly. Except for stealth, she does that as well or better than any other Vape I can think of. Not everyone can afford a unit for different uses, but with the MFLB you realy don't mind a few compromises.
Yep,I luvs my 'boxes. Even though I have a few vapes now,I feel naked without a MFLB in my pocket.

Now in the interest of full disclosure I have to say that I do know and own a unit that's pretty damn good at multi-purpose use. That would be the Herbal Aire 2.2. Of told me about it when i was a rookie on FC. (Thanks Of,youre as wise as you are strange, thanks for everything buddy). That Vape has so many ways to use it it's not even funny. It's just a shame it doesn't get the love it deserves.
I think I've drifted far enough off topic,so...ummm...oh yeah,MFLB rocks!

i probably even would, but given the "war on drugs" it will most certainly stuck at the customs and then a sensible officer would hopefully enjoy it himself without making too much noise about it. :)

Send it to me, don't worry I'll figure out something. I promise to enjoy it and take full responsibility for not doing so in the best possible way.

PM me for the address.....

Dunno about you guys, but I save the stems from my weed in a jar, and when I'm low/out, I'll throw a bunch in my 4-piece SharpStone and grind them up, then put a few coins in the collection chamber and give it a shake for a good bit. Results are always impressive for stems

i keep my stems too. they either get grinded with the good bud or move over to the abv container for later use. :)

I have a question about the MFLB on Rakuten. Does anyone know if any of those are fakes.

I bought an MFLB off of Ebay and it turned out to be a counterfeit. When I got it, it wasn't quite "right" and then I found some info on the web about identifying a counterfeit - most obvious item being no serial number. I complained to the seller and got a resolution. However, I'd like to get a real MFLB. It's very hard to tell from pictures and descriptions. And you never know if the picture you see is of the actual item or ripped off from another web site. Is the only sure way to go to an established vendor and pay full price?

Yes, if you want to be sure of getting the genuine product. Magic-Flight does not allow authorized dealers to discount the LB, but vendors like vapeworld.com and puffitup.com include bonus items in the sale. This is usually a grinder but might be negotiable.

I bought my MFLB from a french authorized dealer, and at that time they were providing a discount code for it (actually they are still providing it after 10 months, so I guess that's kind of a permanent discount).
Are you sure they aren't allowed to do this ?

I can't say whether they are allowed to or not, I'm just saying that Magic-Flight has had this policy in the past and I'm not aware that's they've changed it. That's why vendors offer additional items rather than discounts.

My understanding as well. It also begs the question 'were they charging more than list price before?'.

We do know of reports of US vendors getting cut off for this. Gone are the days of discounted MFLBs on Amazon.

MF seems to be holding the line on 'Fair Trade' very effectively. Even the crooks that sanded the serial numbers off to cover their tracks have gone away.
