I didnt see anything on here about this but it looks crazy. You can switch from conduction to convection and it claims to be the first forced air vaporizer ever.

If any of you have instagram gotvape has pics and vids of it. It looks really interesting.

It looks exactly like the puffit, i dont see how they kept it the same size and amde it forced air. Hopefully it performs better than its predecessor

Youd be surpised. The vivape is forced air and does both whips or balloons. I use it way more with a whip and it is quite enjoyable.

But don't you turn the fan off when using it in whip mode? If not how do you keep it from spewing out vapor in between hits?

It seems to me that this vaporizer has a bit of an identity crisis. First they design it to look like an asthma inhaler (a little bit big but from a distance most wouldn't give a second look) so it blends in. Now they make it bright colors so it stands out. Then they add the forced air function which is either wasteful (blowing out vapor in between hits) or pointless to waste battery power running a fan to blow up a bag which isn't very conducive to being portable or stealthy. Even a solo & FV are more inconspicuous than a bag full of vapor.

I guess the only way I see this working is if it is an instant on/off fan that you can use to push the vapor into your lungs but again it seems like a waste of battery power just to be too lazy to inhale.

I would love to hear from Puffit as to how exactly a forced air portable works or see some videos of it in action. Right now all we can do is speculate as to how it works what purpose forced air serves in a portable.

No, you cant turn the fan off. It does get wasted if you leave the wand in between hits but i usually just take it out in between hits as a force of habbit now. Im assuming there will be a switch on this to turn on/off the forced air other wise no one would buy it

Mynameismud,
I have zero faith that this Vape will be any good. IMO they really fucked up their last launch, and I don't see how adding an always-on fan will improve matters. Merely serves to waste battery and vapor far as I'm concerned. I think there's a reason so few Vapes come equipped with forced air fans, particularly in the portable.space. if it was a good idea, don't you think some of the other guys would be doing same?

actually, i would like a portable to be able to blow up a balloon! but I'm sure that's not going to happen here.
i guess they are just trying to improve the asthma inhaler experience^^

Actually, any portable can blow balloons. Search 'vapor lung'.

haha, didn't know. looks like a nice toy! want (but don't need)
You know its free right?

You did make an interesting point earlier about this Vape, in that the forced air makes it more like an inhaler. I wonder if the fan will be regulated by the button press.

haha, yes I do ;) realised it after I've posted my reply

concerning the fan: actually i thought that the original puffit would work like this already ;)
might look strange to see someone outdoor sucking like crazy on an inhaler for a couple of minutes :D
so i could imagine that they want it to look more authentic and stealth.

I think the fan is regulated by the button. Also i want to see how they can make it convection OR conduction.

yea im not sure why being able to toggle between conduction and convection would even be beneficial. super confused

I'd love that feature if it actually worked. But I see no feasible way they were able to adapt their old design into having two discreet heating methods, and if they have included a fan or pump, that is going to be one hell of a weak flow, and it is just going to slay the battery, which they couldn't make any bigger either.

Posted in the Puffit thread by mistake. Got sent am email from Discreet Vape today and enclosed the Puffit X Preview vid

Might help explain a few bits - does suggest that the fan can be turned off - also that the temperature range has been made smaller (knocking off the lower end) and that they have a mains charger that will go from 0-80% in about an hour.
Enjoy ;)

wtf late july ?!? I need to buy this !!! :) its going to go well with my ascent (if the ascent ever comes out)

Damn this thing actually looks pretty nice. Not too long of a shipping date. Does anyone know if they are going to have a presale on this device? Just hope it works as well as it looks like it will.

They should have changed the vapor path ... People said all they tasted was plastic with the last one.

Figure i can sell me old Puffit and replace it with the new one - and still get an ascent if i fancy before Xmas ;)

Tho TBH i might not feel like it with an X - it'll be even more like an asthma inhaler - quick puff and pop it away ;)
