Another question- can the warranty only be used once?
Forever, as long as no warranty fraud (ie "I broke it I need a new one) occurs. Not really a problem anymore as hey have you rip the screen out and take a few pics before they ship you a new one. I broke the lid on the first one when she took a dive onto tile, and the second one swelled up because a bit of water got into it after I tipped my bong over (it was connected to the whip, water went through that). I've got my third box in my room, all they wanted from me was to decommission the current one. I'm sure if it breaks they'll take care of me.

Hi. Been lurking for a while here on fc, but never made an account. Im from norway so please excuse my english, it isnt always great :-)

First of all, i want to say the MFLB is great! Had one for over 6 months now and still loving it. I first bought a solo, still got it but it doesnt get much use with the MFLB around.

I was first thinking of buying a power adapter, some new batteries,ct tray and some stuff but changed my mind when i saw the price for my order so im now buying another box instead. A walnut, with 4 extra batteries and a ct tray. I have experience with the new logo batteries and love them but are they good to use with the ct tray and bubble hash? Just started vaping hash in the box when i broke both my solo 2 year old solo stems in two days! Iv been using some rolling paper to make a cup for the hash and that worked beyond my expectations! Didnt think the box had enough power to get me medicated with hash but i was (happily) wrong.

I vape flowers almost all the time but every now and then i get some bubble hash, will i need the PA to fully vaporize (bubble or harder) hash in the ct tray? I was thinking i could stock up alot of logo batteries instead and buy a walnut box to please my eyes even more. :D

Welcome Norweedian LOL.. i like the name.. the logo batteries do work for the CT.. but IMO the PA is the way to go.. since it takes a little while to heat up the tray.. the batteries don't last so long, or get as hot as the PA on 100%.. the paper works pretty good huh.

It suits me well:p Thats was what i predicted. Thanks for the reply! Think im gonna go for a new box, and some extra batteries. I know im gonna end up with the PA sooner or later anyways. If Puffitup comes up with a nice package deal for me with the walnut or cherry box, i might just send another order for the PA!

Hi all, new to the forum and thanks for a great threat.. I have not had the time to read through it all yet... Anyway would be great if the gurus here to offer me some advise.

I had the iolite it died on me recently. I didn't really like the iolite as where I live high quality butane is hard to find so its a bit of a bitch to use it.

So I am deciding between mLFB and Solo, which would you guys recommend. Anyone had experience with the iolite vs the two in my short list? How much better will these be vs my short list.

I really like the MLFB concept but the solo reviews made it sounds like its Heaven send... Lol

Thanks everyone!!!

I have a Launch Box and have used a Solo. Go LB if you need stealth/quick hits, otherwise Solo.

The solo uses sensors and lights telling you when to hit it- a no-brainer.
The MFLB is smaller and stealthier, but has a huge learning curve.
If you go LB make sure you order the new logo batts. When fresh they are
almost as strong as a PA.
The solo makes big hits easy.

Thanks gurus!! Most helpful!

Looks like solo is a good buy..

So to sum it up, LB would be a bout the same as iolite and solo will basically blow me away ? I have always been a bit disappointed with the iolite, I end up going back to the bong and only use iolite sometimes..

Thanks again gurus

If you looking for portable don't forget to take a look at the Firewood, I LOVE my MFLB but the conduction factor makes me a bit sleepy. The Firewood is like70/80% convection and the flavor is AMAZING. So make sure to add that to your watch list plus only being 80 bucks for the unfinished its hard to pass up imho

Thanks T thanks for the tip, I just saw those 2 names plus pax being mention... As amazing as the Pax sound I still feel solo or LB are more soils products... Thanks for the firewood tip, I will check it out for sure!

I'm using bubble hash in the trays that do NOT have a pad.

Here in my corner of Spain most of the growing is outdoors which means I have to use moroccan hash at certain times of the year. Any thoughts as the best way to use it in the MFB ?

I'm using the concentrate trays that Magic Flight sells, specifically, the one that does NOT have a pad under a screen. I'm not sure about the consistency of your hash, and if it fully melts or not. My bubble hash does not fully melt.

Not very happy with the warranty service so far. I emailed them late night a week ago wednesday and didnt hear back from them til last tuesday. Then after emailing them with the required pictures it took 2 more days for them to say it will be sent out in 2 days. By the time i recieve my replacement it will have been 2 weeks since I first contacted them. I expected better. For some reason i got 2 confirmation emails with 2 different tracking numbers so no idea what thats about.

This was a warranty via email and not through the form on this site right?

I've warrantied a metric shit-ton of these and using the website form and including pictures has never been more than a 48 hour turn around (business days) to get a tracking number that it was on the way.

Most of the folks having comms problems with MFLB are relying on email vs the web form submission. Coming from IT, I'd be willing to bet they have a snazzy email tracking system that gets hosed up if you email from a different account than the request or change the subject line.

At the end of the day, if you are unsatisfied let them know...they are one of the few retailers over the years that bend over backwards to make things right. True they didn't send any extras when I just warrantied a PA and a couple of boxes, but the time before they tossed in a bunch of stuff for the problems I had.

So...long post short....I'd stick to the web form submission and don't hesitate to give them some constructive feedback :)

Fuck combustion :(

Riding the power button too long and it kept going when I stopped... In my defense I thought about pulling harder... Anyways, I vaped an extra couple trenches to help get over the taste... Fish tacos and churros, I forgot how to breathe for a second earlier ;) the joys of t-breaks.

For whatever its worth (and I'm sure others have commented on this) the finer the grind the better the performance with the MFLB. I began using a 4 piece, a 2 piece Space Case and the MFLB nano and they are inferior to a coffee grinder. I tried both a small, electric coffee grinder and a Nutribullet (on grind mode) and both provided a finer grind than I've seen with any grinder and the MFLB seems to really like a fine/powdery grind over anything else. In short I've noticed fuller, more robust vapes!

I definitely agree.

IMO perhaps even more important it dry herb. Even to the point of 'loss of flavor' (although that's not necessary to a full cure). Not only becasue evaporating water robs scarce power that would make more vapor otherwise, but it fouls the box faster.

If you're careful to be quite dry going in not only is it going to vape faster and denser but it'll foul way less. With care you can go through ounces without pause to do a major cleaning (past brushing out from time to time).

I've only had the MFLB (and PAX) for about 2-3 months now and I haven't noticed any discoloration or even the need to clean the screen (excluding a brushing out of ABV) Does that mean the flower I'm using is more dry/better cured?

Sure sounds like it to me. Just a few loads of 'fresh' bud and you'll be asking about how to clean it.....

Once stuff starts sticking, stuff starts sticking.
