Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

Will a TV SV Evolution work on a TV Revolution unit?

Yes, provided the battery is right. You want two RCR123As for SV. The big Ultra supply is 'right' for it, but heat shield while not necessary is nice. Evolution runs tend to be long, battery self heating is higher than with Revolution/DART.

How can I clean the entire TV Evo unit? Should I use iso or can I just throw the whole thing in some boiling water?

I think that my Evo was just a outside dry device, but last days I try it through water and I was really impressed by the clouds size that i can get because when I use it dry with flowers I get just 2 or 3 little nice puffs and nothing, with water I can get 4 big draws, 2 time by batteries. Clouds size is like my Xp on level 7, very big!

I discover this device again nice day!

I never got evenly vaporised herb with the Evo as the herb close to the top didn't seem to vape well. I know that others had success by shortening the bowl length by directly inserting a UFO mouthpiece, but I missed the boat on buying on of these. Has anyone used a filed down Dart loader for this purpose? If so, did it work well?

Cheers

Ahh gotchya, no worries!

But ya let it be known.. HP Evo Cores are not an option anymore.... So this leaves just the standard 3.7v or 6v available as a rebuild option.
SHIT
I just bought an Evoulution 6v from the classifieds wanting to upgrade to a HP LV 3.7v core :/

Thanks OF! I thought that was a great deal since a charger was included (with the batteries). Is there a website that sells AW batteries and the compatible charger for a good price?

That charger is ten bucks, IMO it's OK, I like the WF-188 better, the charger is 'nothing special' most any 18650 type charger will work since the battery itself is protected:

Lighthound is my favorite battery source, 'the good stuff' is 11 bucks there, they also have chargers:

Does ThermoVape still offer warranty support for the Evolution? My TV Evo doesn't seem to heat up anymore.

EDIT: Nevermind. Already heard back from TV. That was quick.

I've had one of these for a while, have used it a handful of times, always with frustration that leads me back to combusting my flowers :-/

I get better use out of the MFLB, and am thinking of selling my TV Evo, since it is literally still 'like new', and has all the parts...

Any idea on what it's worth/ what I can get for it?
I know TV stopped making these now..

tia!

If you read through this thread or just try searching for "steps" posted by OF in this thread. @OF has posted the proper technique to use the evo. I combusted once in my evo then I rally concentrated on the 3 steps and got great results

Pity you haven't had better results, it's a hard little rascal to get a leash on, but it is also a powerful performer in experienced hands. For sure not for everyone, but it's probably the only truly successful 'herb cart' out there?

There is a loyal (but small) following I think that would welcome a chance to buy it on the classifieds. Like many such unique items, it's hard to put a value on it I think but find the right customer and I'd think above retail is realistic?

Good luck selling it.....although I think if you got to using it seriously it'd about the last idea of selling it would be about the last you'd have on the matter.

Good luck, no matter which way you go.

hmmmmm......... it was just a thought since I never really got the hang of it.. always worked a little, but never satisfying enough.. I am def open to trying to figure it out more though.. maybe I was just being impatient.. I'm going to hold onto it for now and try your 3 steps @OF

thanks!

ok.. I tried the three step way.. I got small puffs out of it.. larger puffs when I rode the battery, like inhaling while turning the battery on and off.. but then it tasted sort of popcorny, which I always think means I'm combusting.. is that the case?

from what I understand, the 3 steps are: preheat the core, load it up, and pull consecutive medium-fast hits.. am I missing something?

Popcorn doesn't meant burned. Smoke means burned. What does the load look like? All yellow? Only at the bottom? How dry is your material?
