Hi guys! After using my WPW I found that I don't know how a whip must be cleaned! It's fine if I just put some ISO + Salt in there and shake it and then rise with hot water or is there a better way?

BTW , I'm talking about the 1 ft whip .

I do that plus ,
I use a long pipe cleaner soaked in iso , to help remove the heavy resin stains .
I found some long ones at the Dollar store , It's almost as long as the whip .
So I attack it from both ends , I don't see why it can't work for the WPW also .

Can anyone answer what's the difference with the new higher cost PA ?

Not sure, I'm about to write them an email about it. My replacement Box is in the mailbox, but I don't have a key... whoops. Soon, though; probably within the hour. Hobbit, the person I talked to re: warranty replacement, also mentioned that in my package is included a new 40-something page booklet with lots of tips and hints about everything related to the LB, such as cleaning, maintaining, using, etc. Looking forward to leafing through it, though I feel that I know it well enough already :)

Any Modest Mouse fans? Iron Horse did a beautiful cover, and it has a perfect feel to it!

Unfortunately, I didn't get the MF Guide like Hobbit mentioned, but I sent them an email about it. Was seriously looking forward to it... you'll look forward to anything positive when you're in serious pain :disgust:

I thought she looked a little plain, but upon closer inspection, she's gorgeous! That's one of the things I love about MF (and the wooden vaporizers in general), the look of each is individual. Nana, my first Box, looked a bit boring, but she was my first () and she really showed me the ropes as well as being quite forgiving. She's like that cute girl you fall way too hard for... Sheila, number two, had some really nice grain on her. She wore it like Penelope Cruz rocks those.... beautiful long curly locks of hair ;)

Alright ladies and gents, meet Tiffany  At first glance she looked new and pretty, but then I let her see the light and spotted some unique bits. Special thanks to Hobbit and Lorraine, the warranty process was painless (well, as painless as gutting your girlfriend is), and for still hand-signing every package I've received from the crew!

And a truly beautiful, yet somewhat light, grain on the top of this picture (her right) that I didn't notice at first... Looks like one of my dozen scars, about the same length as some too

perhaps more than any other vape, that box captures the essence of vaporizing
IMO, part of the elegance of it is how simple it is, while still working effectively and having each unit unique in its own way on top of functioning the same regardless of which one you get.

Wow, this got deep didn't it? I'd say it's more the spirit of vaporizing than essence? The box is really very special in so many ways, the essence is far simpler. Heat the bud, breathe the vapors. A light bulb vape is closer to the essence end of things as I see it?

It is deceptive in it's simple appearance for sure. But the engineering is first rate and details like the folding of the trench, welding, fit and finish and so on are far from simple IMO.....which is elegant.

I think it's a gadget easy to bond to, more than a simple tool. I wonder if that's because the only plastic you can see you look through not at? Artificial as it is, it doesn't seem artificial.

I also think Vapman shares most of this with the beloved box.

How is it different from the old power adapter that I currently own?

Sorry about the delayed reply. I haven't been on FC since I posted last. Here's all of the verbage from the e-mail we received from Magic Flight.

"Unlimited power at the push of a button.
The Power Adapter 2.0 delivers continuous power to any Magic-Flight Launch Box, anytime, at the touch of a button.

All new design.
Smaller. Thinner. Lighter. (measures 2.8" x 1.3" x .8")

Works with every Launch Box.
Fills your hole completely, just the way you like it.

Button:
The button and internal circuitry on the new Power Adaptor has been redesigned from the ground up to be stronger, work better, and last longer.

Banana Plug:
With a completely redesigned battery connection, the new Power Adapter performs better than ever. The new banana plug design makes secure contact in any Launch Box.

Adjustable Power Delivery
the built in rheostat gives you complete control over your vaporizing experience. Dial in your perfect heat level, or crank it up to unlock the full potential of the Water Pipe Whip and Concentrate Tray.

Lifetime Warranty: You're Covered, No Matter What
The new Power Adapter comes standard with our signature lifetime functional warranty. If your Power Adaptor stops functioning, we'll take care of it, and you.

Car Adaptor Included
Plug in your Power Adapter 2.0 at home or on the go. Along with standard A/C Adapter, the Car Adapter is now included with every Power Adapter Kit."

That was it word for word. The new design looks much nicer than the old PA. Here's a photo we posted to our Instagram page (sorry I haven't had a chance to figure out posting posts on the forum yet, and being a Saturday I want to spend the least amount of time in front of a computer as I can.)

Oh man..so I'm been lurking this thread a while. Have been messing around with bho and pen vaporizers. Never had a great experience vaping flowers, other than one time using a china made volcano knock off, which got me no where.

I'm seriously considering vaping as my primary form of enjoying buds. I don't want to invest a large amount of cash, but need a unit that can provide good/consistent hits. The mflb looks like a great device, especially paired with a power adaptor. Was just going to pull the trigger, but guess ill have to wait for the newer PA to be available for order.

Other than that, I was wondering have effective vaping is, especially with a mflb. I do have a high tolerance, and with vaping involved, I'm not sure if i will be satisfied, or if ill be reaching for my bong at the end of the session. I understand the vape high is different, but I guess not having much vaping experience other than the omicron and gpen, I'm not sure what to really expect from the mflb.

And lastly, where's the best deal online? Was gonna go to a shop around town, but since I'm waiting for PA 2.0, might as well shop around.

So for $ 79 ,
you get the new PA 2.0
and
a car adaptor .

That's a good deal .

The new PA looks awesome. I just wish it was MF themselves coming in here with the news... This feels like listening to an early-leaked album from one of my favorite artists. Just doesn't 'feel right' to me.

Anyways, the engraving looks awesome and I love the new quote on the bottom. What I'm really itching to see is this new banana connector, though...

That sounds interesting to me too, I'm expecting spring loaded 'fingers' to make contact with the ring to avoid the problems with fit and alignment many have? If so, I think I'd prefer that, but not enough to replace the PA that's serving me so well now.

Sorry you feel that way nopartofme. Using your analogy, would it make you feel better to know that prior to working in the vape industry I spent 20 years in the music biz doing sales and marketing for major record labels? It's in my blood to see a press release like this and run with the info provided.

Here's your wish about seeing the banana plug (sorry it's Sunday morning and still haven't taken the time to figure out the photo thing): http://instagram.com/p/an4h1jEtMr/

Hey VW ,
I appreciate your posts .
Can you tell me if the ' new ' button , needs to be pressed down all the time for it to work ?
or
Is it just click press on once and it stays on ?

No worries, I suspect what's throwing me off more is MF's minimal approach to advertising. It surprises me to see such excellent photos with nary an update on MF's site. Given the info came to you in the form of a press release rather than a private notice to retailers, and given there was no embargo date broken, I'm sure this is how they planned on getting the word out anyways and I don't blame you at all for running with the scoop.

And, wow, that connector looks slick!!

I've been using the hell out of my PA with my concentrates too. Is it too much for the PA to handle to be using concentrates at high power all the time? I know it's ruining my maple box. :(

The quote above the banana plug- "Works With Every Launch Box" and seeing the updated design on the battery itself makes me wonder if MF has another Launch Box maybe 2.0 coming.

RUDE BOY

Space is the Place
^^^ My PA is real loose in my walnut Box , so much so that I have to stick a shim of some type in with the adaptor . It is kind of a PITA But for now I'll stick with what I have .

Like RUDE BOY said, my PA is a bit different than some of the ones I've seen here. MF addressed it as an issue that was corrected due to someone that made the actual piece. I'll post a pic of mine, it's tapered halfway down the "battery" end of it, and doesn't always make perfect contact with my o-ring. I can jiggle it around a bit to get full connectivity, but not always. The easy fixes are adjusting the o-ring, or adding a shim to it, but other than that it works fine and even though I'm pretty sure I could warranty it for that, it works 100% fine for me when I can get it to attach. It's a minor annoyance at best I'd say. I'm sure I could warranty it but it works fine. shrug

The "banana plug" they reference will address this issue by adding resistance in various points of the plug to ensure contact.

In the pic, 1/4 of the way going left to right, you can see the left quarter is shiny, and the rest is duller looking... the taper is there, the shiny part feels like it's smaller than the other 3/4 of the part. I'm curious as to how they'll address the warranties on the PA's considering the old ones were roughly $20 less? Knowing them, they might just bite the bullet for us.

How so? I noticed the wood gets a bit warm with a couple dabs for me, but haven't noticed any heat stress...

It's getting gunked up on the inside, and not from anything bubbling over. Vaping bubble hash with the CT, on max power with the PA, has left an oily residue on everything inside, on the screen, rubber o-ring, and the lid. It's really sticky and hard to get off. On the screen, right by the draw hole, it's especially bad, and getting worse the more bubble hash I vape. I'm glad I decided to only vape the bubble hash in the maple LB.

Dry burns and ISO cleans aren't fixing it, either? Just asking, I'm sure you already did that.
