Yup, that's the way it works.

When I do it (double post), I cut and paste the new stuff from the second to the first using edit. Then I edit the second to "duplicate, please delete" or similar then report myself (using the "Report" tab at the bottom") to alert the Mods (who are the only ones that can delete it).

That usually happens very quickly, if a Mod's on duty.

Screwing up doesn't make me popular, but I'm told that's the preferred technique?

I believe he is saying that he uses the edit button on his second post and gets rid of all the text and replaces it with the message "duplicate, please delete" in the body of the post. Then he hits the report button. When the moderator sees the double post that was reported, it is obvious to them that the second one can be deleted without bothering to merge the two posts.

So the only buttons used are edit & report.

Sorry... I needed a little help, help came. I reached out from where I was. I'm new to this forum. It works a little different from others I've been in. Edits, attaching pics, etc. The Help menu doesn't address these things. Thanks to those who did!

Okay I've made a post twice here about something and it keeps getting deleted. I wonder why. Mods, am I doing something naughty? Kinda frustrating to see it disappear twice with no reasoning why. It's about the release date -- compliant with pakalolo's earlier post I believe.

I've moved your posts here where they belong. I'm leaving them separate because the first one was deleted from the previous thread. I didn't do it but I can see who did, and the reason was the same for my reason for moving you: not advancing the topic.

Posting off-topic is common and we often ignore it, but not in a thread where we just asked people not to clutter up the thread. You weren't doing anything worth a point, however, until your second post. A prudent member would have asked why the posts were being deleted in a PM. Instead you posted again in the thread, this time completely off-topic, to discuss a moderator decision. Would you like points with that?

The old rice trick works wonders...had a friend with an old iPhone that he lost outside during a thunderstorm...he came back later and found the phone under 4 inches of water. Took it home, dried it off and packed it in rice. Two days later it fired up like nothing had happened...

Update for release: CONFIRMED this week

I just received an email from gotvape.com, quote:

"...the item you ordered is a pre order item only and it will not be release until the end of this week. At that time the pre orders will start shipping out in the order that they were placed. You order will likely not ship to you until sometime next month."

I ordered mine last night. So there you have it folks, end of the week.

I was looking at their FB earlier and something reminded me about how people complained when that 1 girl who works for DV did that review video --- they mentioned t&a use (tits & ass to attract product).

I thought that was silly because it obviously wasn't.

But then I saw this FB post:

Considering how they've not been able to keep to their original committed release dates
Considering how they've not been able to keep to their subsequent committed release dates
Considering how they weren't able to keep to their committed announcement date of the haiku contest winner
Considering how they haven't contacted me as to where to send their second place gift certificate, or stated who the second place winner is being that I turned it down

From a personal standpoint, I would take anything that they say with a grain of salt.

Not being able to keep a commitment is one thing. Not communicating IMMEDIATELY to those affected with an update as to what the hell is going on, to me, is just bad business.
