Well I don't know how reliable GV is but I called them today and the said the units were on there way to them as we speak and should be shipped out on June 21st , along with my 14mm straight adaptor.
So I hope its true and accurate information I have the email of the chat transcript so I hope there for real.

I wonder what happened to us getting a notice from DV and getting ours if we choose to before GV. I guess we are waiting since GV will have them shortly.

Had presumed that she shifted the thread as sales were about to start any second now. But Pak said that he shifted the thread because the review units were out and he wanted their official pronouncement in the final thread.

So, sales could still start as early as today, although, with the logistics of trying to serve people in the order they registered, I'd suspect early next week as the drop point.

Still no word on a hard release date?

:(
I called DaVinci a couple of days ago to find out where I was on the pre-registration list. They were vague when I asked about the release date, saying they were still working on some issues. When I said it sounded like it could be two more weeks -they agreed.

Well if this is true, that is quite disappointing :ugh:

Yup, I have been using something we call "butter" up here in Canada. I think this is what is referred to as "wax" in America..

Its wax or "budder" around me, some other names too. When you type "butter" people get confused and think your talking about actual butter

Its not soo disappointing anymore, they already missed their expected release date by a month now. At least people actually have units to test out while the rest waits. Soon enough it will be out. I doubt people will be getting them in 2 weeks. Im thinking more like 3-4 weeks, plus that way ill get a nice surprise and be happy if it comes in 2

Longer than that--original release was supposed to be 3/31. A lot of us have been waiting at least that long. I have to admit I'm losing hope and interest.

On the other hand, if the ascent had come out then, I never would have picked up my solo. Silver lining? :)

Oh ive only been paying attention since the May release date. Whoops.

And not really a silver lining, because if/when the ascent comes out and you get it you could be saying to yourself "damn im never going to use this solo again, what a waste of money!"

I suppose in the scope of life, 2 weeks isn't that bad. It seems to be worth the wait anyways :)

And oh, so very traditional? I can't think of an example of a vape or accessory that came off 'on schedule'....and may of them with came with nearly immediate changes that should probably have been sorted out in Beta Testing and prior steps? Even while being late for the usual reasons.

Completed, well made designs and fastest time to market are a trade off at the best of times.

It always amazes me that the very ones selling a product know the least about it. that's why i read these forums and stay informed.

Plus we get updates from DV themselves .
They show up and answer questions .
My guess is , DV will be letting N.Americans know how to purchase one soooooooon .

Sorry...can't figure out how to post pics. Can someone guide me through it? Thanks!

Here's what I would do.

1. go to www.imgur.com and upload the picture
2. copy the image link (should end with your file type, like .jpg or .png, etc.)
3. Post that link here wrapped in img tags --- [img*]your link[/img*] (remove the * in there, I just did it so it won't think I'm trying to post a pic)

You have to use an image hosting site like tinypic.com. Upload your photo and copy the image URL. Then click on Insert image but make sure you don't have the brackets in there -Just has to start with http

Actually, I tried to delete the post altogether by going to "Edit". Then I tried to delete the post by backspacing over it, but it didn't delete. Sorry, but I'm not very good at the science of posting.

Yup, that's the way it works.

When I do it (double post), I cut and paste the new stuff from the second to the first using edit. Then I edit the second to "duplicate, please delete" or similar then report myself (using the "Report" tab at the bottom") to alert the Mods (who are the only ones that can delete it).

That usually happens very quickly, if a Mod's on duty.

Screwing up doesn't make me popular, but I'm told that's the preferred technique?
