I could only add 20 pics at a time, so here's the packaging! BTW I messaged Nigel and told him I wanted to see what the response was from people thinking I was serious; people are so bitchy on here constantly.... cracks me up. It was indeed sarcasm lol...

Multiple vaping time lengths at different temps?!
Jesus, take the wheel, cause I'm feeling a little woozy!
:mmmm:

Yeah, the rep had slightly mentioned that before ("For example, you set it to stay at 360 for 3 mins, go up to 375º for 2 mins and then to 380º for 2 mins"), but now we can clearly see it in the photo (last one) for the first time. More detail.

So, it *looks* like (guessing from the photo) that it is a three step program, and it sound like there is one one. But all in all, looks awesome!

Where do the round screens go?

To be honest, I'm not exactly sure... the hole's are not really super big... they look like it in the pics, because it's so zoomed in. I'm guessing to put in the chamber? Your guess is as good as mine.

*** Another thing I forgot to mention. When you pull the glass mouthpiece completely out... you'll see that it fits directly over your glass screen-stem that comes up from the bottom... So indeed, it is a 100% glass air path from your trench.

I was LMAO at the people that got trolled.

Still great pictures!!

I've been wondered that myself for months. They can't really go down the glass stem that has the glass screen, so top or bottom of bowl?? HR has them in hand, so you can tell us if they fit...

. I like the rubbers I invented hehe.

Yeah, I was wondering about the loop on those. Looks like they grab on to the power button, so it must be kinda tall (offset).

JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW
, I've been talking to a bunch of people at DaVinci, and am close to doing some type of promo code such as "Herbal" that could add a free waterpipe attachment for FC members. Before anyone jumps the gun on it... nothing is finalized; but something I'll keep you all informed on!

If you could pull that off I am so sold! Do you mean like a Pinnacle Hydro Tube or is Da Vinci developing something on their own?

I guess they changed what they decided to offer as far as accessories. Guess we buy the extra glass screens separately.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like the second set is in the box:

There is one already inside the Ascent and the others actually come inside of each other in the packaging. You can slightly see them in this picture.

The screens fit perfectly in the bottom of the ceramic trench; just extra precaution... although even if you skipped out... it looks like any extra bud (if any) would fall through the grill at the bottom... so I might just leave mine 100% glass for the time being until need be.

That little cap is really cool. It does fit a little funky on the Power-Button... but if that's one of the only complaints I've got thus far... I think that is a good sign.

Posted that before the new pics....edited it, but Nigel jumped on it too quick...:)

Heh... seems I've been doing that a bit today.

I'm like a kid at Christmas, and I don't even have a toy under my tree. ;)

So much for getting any work done today....

EDIT: Damn. I really like the grill the more I look at it. Looks like an auto from the 50's, with the two side holes almost like headlights.

Thank you thank you thank you... Those, photos are top notch!

Excellent details. Now I'm drooling!

The anticipation. Is better than any Christmas I remember. :)

The only logical place I see for the screens is for the bottom of the chamber. The davinci has similar screen on the bottom of the chamber too.

Yeah, they are quite nice. The Macro shots are great. And good lighting.

I looked up the EXIF data on the images, and if anyone is wondering it is a Canon PowerShot ELPH 300HS.

Nice clean shot of the glassware.

Possibly BOTH top and bottom? If you are using a grind that fine, not only can it fall out the bottom, but you can inhale it up the straw, as, I believe, the holes are the same diameter on the bottom of the bowl and on the glass screen.

It comes with two identical glass air paths. I sure am glad you guys are reviewing it...great pics! That takes a load off of me since I suck at it.

Mine charged up pretty quickly, so I ran down to the lhs to show it off before dirtying it up. Loaded and used it for the drive home. It heats up really fast, but I think it will probably benefit from a little longer heat up time like most other units. The taste was impressive even though it still had a little of that new vape taste to it. I started off at 190C and was getting good effects. I couldn't see much vapor as I was driving in the wind, so I kept turning it up until I got to 220, which is as high as I ever go on the E. At one point I cracked it open while it was on and could see a little vapor like in the older video they did.

By the time the drive was over the load was spent and I was feeling right. The finished load was very evenly baked and looked spent. Cleaning was as easy as blowing in the bowl and the bottom of the lid. I took the air path out and all it took was a quick blow to feel like this unit would be ready for clean travelling. I think this is going to be an easy one to keep clean. At 220 the bottom was getting a little warm, but not hot. At 190 it was barely warm. I'm off to try it in a still environment to check out the cloud production.

Loaded the first bowl with a little bit of kif to top it off. Needless to say, I got a little excited and ended up with a mouthful of kif lol. If you take a heavy draw, you'll more than likely get a piece of herb in your mouth... wonder if the screen could be placed elsewhere?

I've used the Pax, Pinnacle, Whisper, Hammer, Palm 2.0, VaporBLUNT 2.0, etc... All I can say after finishing this bowl is that I've never quite experienced something like this in a portable. The all glass air-path is really a weird feeling; but welcomed!

I AM the epitome of "snippy" and believe me, nigel was not snippy. Asking someone to not reply so fast because you changed your opinion and edited your post after he relied to it is kinda like asking someone to unring a bell, eh? (Now THAT is snippy)

OK, back on topic............The very first time I saw the Ascent, I was like..... :o. Now I'm like:
:o :mmmm: :o .

not trying to be snippy was the intended message. sigh. can't win with the internet people speak their mind far to easily.

Yeah, top & bottom of the bowl, right? As the holes are the same size on the bottom of the bowl and on the glass screen, correct? So can you fit the second screen on the top and have no issue closing it?

Okay that's it, I'm enforcing a MMM. That being a "Mandatory Midwest Meetup" that will take place at THR's place of residence. THR has no say here and I will be driving provided those who join pitch in for gas.

On a real note though thanks for the info SS, THR, and Slim can't wait for some more data and that video!

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
THR, how is the weight compared to the DV...heavier or lighter or about the same?
