Don't think so, AT. I'm pretty sure they said that we (FC'ers) would get first crack at ownership. But, I've been wrong before and plan on being wrong again...

No, they come to us, then I ship them to them. I'll start preorders in order of registration (kind of) a few days before they get here.

At this point, I'd much rather you release pre-sales (according to the plan of batches according to numbers). I could see the reasons NOT to do a pre-sale back in March, but we are "super duper close to release date." Take my money with *MY* understanding it could be days... it could be weeks... most likely NOT months.
If you can't handle an unknown wait, don't put your cash up quite yet.
If you don't like not having reviews, don't put your cash up yet.
If you can't do anything other than sit here quietly and NOT CONTINUE to post "is it out yet" or negative comments, don't put your cash up yet.
If you don't feel comfortable with a pre-sale, don't put your cash up yet.
At this point, I don't mind a pre-sale. I'd rather know my sale is in the pipeline, there are no further actions I need other than to wait, and that my unit will go out the day general sales start.

Exciting news to hear. I cant wait to get the ascent in my hands, I had a broken vape I sent to TOSV and now waiting for the ascent to be shipped to me instead of the other vape i sent back.

I think if you would have done a presale you would have 10x the amount of whining/frustration/nonsense in this thred than you do now. Just look at some of the other threds where they did preorders, nothing but a mess. I think you made the right decision.

Davinci... I am new to the forum but have been following thread since January. I had pre registered but don't know if I had put FC in the survey as where I learned of product. Please place promo code here on FC so all followers can take advantage of free adapter and not be upset due to a technicallity.
Also if we truly are less than a month a way please go ahead with preorder.. Have the update state what day the ascent will be shipped out. That way we all have something concrete and won't have view this site or your site for a hopeful update like we have since March. The preorder can help expedite the process and have ascents shipped out promptly.

Thanks for the update DV,,,, and i hope the packaging comes this week to keep you so busy you forget about the Haiku judging..so we all get free ascents!!! Sure will be alot of reviews going on... lol 
There are a few units floating around- they went to our master distributors when we received the first round. Kind of hard to sell them on something that no one has ever seen- plus we need to get the validation that we are on the right track. I'm betting these units were passed around to friends though. I haven't released any to the public yet...BUT according to DHL tracking I have the review units coming in Thursday and will start to ship them out.
Is there a chance of telling us who your distributors are? Also, has the final Ascent been sent away for the European CE certificate yet? It would be nice to have a rough estimate when we can see them arriving over here. ~500 million Europeans are eagerly waving their money
Hey guys, I'm a complete newbie to vaping and this forum, so be kind :-). I'm excited for the release of the Ascent, but can you tell me the difference between the straight and U adapters that you can get for the Ascent (aside from the obvious, their shape). Is there some advantage to having the U-shaped one? Thanks!

The U-adapter is necessary if you plan to use oils through a water pipe because the Ascent needs to be upright when used with oils. The straight adapter is for those who will only be using flowers. It's also assumed that the straight adapter is a more durable design than the U-adapter.

The unit can do both flower and oil. To use the oil, you need both the (included) oil cans and not to turn the unit upside down. Flower doesn't care about gravity.
U shape is for non-upside-down.
