Discontinued The Sublimator

This one looks very good .
I noticed he didn't cough up a lung like MJ man did in his vid .
But I would still be interested in water/sublimating thru this thing . ( DIY )

I also noticed he dumped out the ABV after just 1 hit , because it was ' all toasted ' .
I'm guessing he meant all the THC is spent , and therefore no longer worth hitting ,
Not even for flavor/taste hits ? It's basically a 1 hitter ? ( which has it's benefits if you're in a hurry )

And what in total am I getting for $ 500 ?
Does that long tube come with it ?
Can someone post a pic of the Box and contents for $ 500 ?....PV ?

I know this is a forum for vaping, but I wonder if the mental effect from this is much different than combusting with fire. Do you still get that clean mental effect like you get with a vape?

Also, is it really more intense or qualitatively different than a fire-based vaporizer like the $65 Vapor Genie, which I feel can also release the full-spectrum quickly? (or The Hammer, etc)

Not slamming the product - I really want to know! Intrigued.

I'm really interested in the temp control. I just had an incredible low temp session with my Cloud and hope that this unit allows the user to dial in the spectrum of effects desired.

I don't understand why he refers to the SSV and DBV as using "induction".

He must've meant "convection", because there is no way that 7th floor has created an induction vaporizer.

From what I've seen so far this seems like a cool rig with an unfortunate name.

I saw a video somewhere, where he describes adjustments in 5 degree increments. Just cant recall where...:hmm:

Actually the name is fine. It makes you feel sublime.

Interesting video, thanks VaporEyes, combined with the graphic below, it gives me a much better idea of the process taking place. #5 and #6 intrigue me the most. How particle size effects lung absorption is an interesting subject I have been pondering as of late, and it could be the key to understanding whats going on here. I love the fact that the hits from this thing look like they could flat line King Kong. CBN production is a concern, it gives me that fuzzy "headband" type of feeling, so too much is undesirable, and I'm not a big fan of reclaim, however it is possible this device might change that. It looks absolutely indestructible with top quality materials and construction throughout and it appears that it's meant to be left on 24/7 which is fantastic. The Apollo Adapt-A-Bong Kit will be hard to resist . . . ;)

Edit: I see it has a timer now, it gives you 15 minutes, 5 for heat-up and 10 to use before it shuts off.

I'm feeling a major deja vu here....hopefully i'm not alone

Does anyone else remember the concept of post-heating the produced vapor being brought up on FC before?
I think I remember it in a very weird thread and it was being suggested by a new poster with pretty poor English.

The guy was suggesting we "combust" our vapor after it was produced. I think it was wrote-off pretty quick, but his plastic/foil ghetto rig didn't inspire confidence like this beast of a machine. I did try the search tools for a solid ten minutes but couldn't find that old(ish) thread.

As for RE: the vaporizer itself,
I'm going to need a lot of help choosing between an adapt-a-bong kit and the herbalizer...because i ain't getting both :p
And I'm pretty sure enrico needs to make a wider whip attachment for the main unit. Sure more restriction might help produce more visible vapor, but it doesn't seem like anyone (even himself) is fully clearing the chamber, comfortably.

Yes, that picture explains the process in the device well and why it should work like advertised.
I can see this can be very powerful performer, yet unlucky escpecially with its advertising (sublimation) in its first thread.
It was said to go beyond vaporization by doing sublimation. Seems like half true to me now.
This probably goes innovatively beyond current vaporization, but differently.
The picture shows it uses powerful vortex of hot air to vaporize (similar to Cloud) and then destroy the large particles in vapor into smaller in the atomizer.
I think the Cloud beat this in taste, cleanliness, ergonomics and looks. Probably in heat consistency and less drag?
The sublimator sems to go beyond vaporization and therefore beat everything else including Cloud in absorbtion rate of vapor it makes.
So it seems to make the vapor more "gasey". Yet this doesn't make it sublimation.

Vaporization: Liquid -> Gas
Sublimation: Solid -> Gas

Traditional vapes: Solid -> Liquid -> Aerosol
The Sublimator: Solid -> Liquid -> Aerosol -> Gas

So we can see that even traditional vapes aren't actually vapes either. They start with solid (mostly).
Sublimator can seem like sublimating if looking at it like a black box. inside it does several different processes to achieve similar goal.

So I see this as a very interesting innovation. This is not a sublimator, just a vape - innovated to make the vapor finally absort faster. While still delivering strong performance as heavy hitters.
I think many people are put off by vaporization just because of this property of traditional vapor. Probably the innovation could change this.

This just needs a version 2.0 imo. That full set just doesn't appeal to me.

SD - It was the pinoy gentlemen who swore by the lighter vape (tin foil covered lighter). He said if you super heat your vapor it got you higher. The general consensus was super heating vapor may change THC into CBN's, which may indeed cause a different affect.

That's about as far as we went with it to my knowledge.

I've been watching for a while, and though they now have that "e nail" coming out too, it looks like you can also take the dab and just place it into one of the "air" holes (so it seems) on the regular sublimator.

If I could get my hands on it, I would! :science:

A "closer" look at the e-nail.

Can someone please tell me why oh why they blow out all that vapor as they take in? It just seems like a waste to take in more for show but in practice why would you do that?

Paka, is this a small toke machine if you want it to be. I vape a lot but hate huge hits like you do. Seems like these guys do most for show not unlike other vaporizers using water tools or in this case just a tube. I don't like wasting meds. I take in as much as I can hold.

They have meds to waste; unlike most of us :(. The typical load size, from what I see, is .1g.

Yes, .1 which they are taking in one hit and blowing out. Is it possible to get as medicated that way when you can use the same amount and have one or two full sessions to the limit of turn off on most devices. This would mean more of that .1 is being absorbed?
