One of my favorites… Framboise or Peach Lambic, Lindemans. Belgique…

Here's a little Dr. Dabber action with the Peach Lambic one… Shatter taste like orange, chaser tastes like peach…
Not bad…

If you have ever gone to the ranger website they have this great rap video about hops. I swear they are crazy "hopheads";):leaf:

We homebrew, which has me pretty spoiled and snobby. :D My man does most of the brewing, we like low hops, my favorite is his cherry/wheat beer we call "red beard", were he adds 5lbs of frozen cherries to cool down the grains after the boil (don't know the exact timing) and they stay in through the first stage of ferment. Comes out looking like red kool-ade and goes down so easy. Its not an overly sweet beer, but it is very fruity. We also did a similar process with a dunkawisen (dark wheat) and frozen blackberries we called "dunkleberry" it was a bit more sour but still tasted amazing.

And I just picked this up from a local smokehouse called BierCamp that brews their own stuff as well. Brown Ale, suuuuper smooth, probably around %5:

^Belgian-Style American Ale. 9.5% ABV and pretty cheap in comparison to other brews.
I just started drinking this Belgian Blonde, one of my very favorite beers.
It's so smokey, rich, yet soft too.

Have you had it yourself? I found it very affordable.

edit:
Used to homebrew, but that was before the resurgence of craft beer. I don't have to now. I'm also lucky enough to live near some great breweries including Cigar City.

Everyone scoffed at me for trying a [stone] Porter with vanilla beans added. I thought it was great!

Leffe is pretty affordable and it is fairly easy to find. I did like it but not enough to buy it again. I really enjoy dubbels and trippels. Flying Fish is my choice when I want a nice Belgian while being conscious of spending. 10 bucks for a Six-er of FF vs 17 bucks for a 4 pack of Chimay.

I graduated Bartending College, and I scored 97% on my exam, (the only reason I did not score higher is because I did not take the wine course). And I can tell you as a former bartender, that not only is beer as popular now if not more. But also that beer is the best of the best. It comes premixed, pre carbonated, and changing a keg is easier than any recipe you'll ever learn mixing drinks.

My home country is definitely famous for beers... Nice thread! I love also local brewed beers, I can see it become popular everywhere.

I'll add 2 which I like and I don't have seen yet on the page here.
Karmeliet which is quite famous :
tripel-karmeliet-beer-glass.gif

Orval, which become impossible to buy in a "tub" (24 beers) quantity over here because of exporting everywhere. Those "Trappist" beers must not exceed some level of production to keep their "Trappist" label. Orval is really different in taste with age : less bitter.

Santé !

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
Orval is one of my favorite beers. If you want to try a great American version of Orval, try Rayon Vert by Green Flash brewing. Amazing beer at half the price.

I missed Q's post earlier. West Coast IPA is one of my fav's right there with Sculpin, Pliny and White Oak Jai Alai.

Honestly I don't even know if it would be possible to buy it here. Maybe in some specialized shop. I usually buy my beers in supermarket or "drink-store" and I clearly made a mistake using "home country" expression as I simply live here... Most of people drink beers of our lands I think, there isn't much foreign choices except in some special shop.
