Enough bickering. stuey, the ones in the picture are not the new batteries; however, magicflight has said (see quoted post) that all orders will be filled with their new batteries. I don't know how to make it clearer.

Thank you.

I can assure you that I am not bickering with anyone.

The MF post you quoted is unclear as the line "previously, we only had been offering them with the premium wood kits" implies the batteries listed currently on the site are premium batteries, when I looked at the product description there was no mention of this.

Therefore I felt the best thing to do was to come to the forum and ask a bunch of so-called friendly, knowledgeable people for help.

The responses were unhelpful to me. There are responses to my question that simply do not answer my question. The posters seem to go out of their way to respond in a way that dosent answer the question, but uses more words than a simple answer would need.

I feel that when someone asks a simple and direct question they deserve a simple and direct answer and this was not given. As a result I ended up emailing MF directly for clarification.

It dosent really fit with the whole "Love is always" ethos of MF.

See, I guess we might disagree here a bit. I think you have a privilege (not a right, please look that part up if you're unclear) to ask appropriate questions (and yours was). However,it should be in line with the agreement you made to get posting privileges (which it is not). Specifically "Lurk before posting. Please search and read before posting to see if your topic is already covered." Even after being told it had been covered several times in recent days you did not do what you agreed to do. Instead insisting someone answer you.

I don't think anyone here is actually obligated to do that for you. No entitlement.

While I don't agree with you on post 20665 (and in fact think you owe the man an apology) let me suggest that back to you with my request (paraphrasing yours): "Look, if you're not going to follow the rules, please don't post" (Spelling and grammar corrections mine).

Thanks in advance.

Im unsubscribing from this thread. I have no desire to interact with people who seem to go out of their way to be unhelpful.

In future, if I need to know anything Ill just email MF.

Wow, unreal. So many people tried to help you with your question, and answered it several times. How is that unhelpful?? :uhh:

To me he seemed "unsure" or a little "confused" Ive been there. He did repeat his question a bit forcefully but seemed quite respectfull about it. It was a simple question I think he just wanted a simple yes or no awnser, i can see his side of the story and the rest of everyone elses side. But its all cleared up, no more need for retelling him what he just couldnt understand.

It's not IMO. This is Sunday, to use Sunday School lessons, folks were trying to teach the guy that wanted the free fish lunch to fish....not what he wanted?

I have to wonder if we really do the right thing by not insisting folks at least make a token effort first? I'm not sure that's the sort of dependence we really should encourage? In the end he got the information he wanted and we came out the villains.....

Good of you to 'stand up' for him, but he could have asked what that meant (or how to do it) rather than slam the Q man......

Haha I think you guys really are just having a battle of wits at the moment.

Stuey, welcome to the internet. Some people are posting from work and haven't been medicated yet. Wait til after six, that's when FC starts to chill out a bit.

So we're the ones out of line? That's rich......

And insulting. Medication has nothing to do with following the rules or etiquette. In fact, specifically it's not an excuse for not following the rules?

OF, you can do this for my posts anytime. I'm a product of the Florida public school system.

Thanks for the laugh! At one point I worked for a PhD from Cambridge..... After a bit 'that doesn't look right' becomes an alarm bell....it can even drown out the little voices. Well some of them, anyway.....

Thanks again, I needed and enjoyed the laugh.

Good Sunday to one and all, the sun's out here (as are the cats), soon it'll be time to do a garden inspection. I like that part.

Just thought he was generally confused or that he thought people were just trying to generally screw with him.. Not just "standing" up for him.

I thought I said enough bickering.

Yup, that's what I said.

Discussing another member's attitude or trying to put him in his place is inappropriate. If he's out of line, the Report button is at the bottom of every post. If your post isn't about the MFLB, don't post.

First I would like to say that what I like about the mflb the most is how you can stow it away for a few months and when you use it again, you're able to rediscover how awesome it actually is.
So today my friend was here and we used his box a few times and we had real great vapor on each draw. (we've both been using the box for a reasonable time by now)
His light was feint and difficult to see but battery looked good enough judging by the vapor we got (both about 5 draws each)
This night, I took out my box and used a fresh pair of batteries. My light was very bright but I couldn't
get any vapor, nothing, but when I used my home made vapor lung, I had lots of vapor, again, trying without it, nothing, new battery, new load, no vapor at all.
What am I doing wrong here? It's not technique because I got lots of vapor with my friend's box.
Could it be something like : because my box has a much brighter light it drains the battery more thus leaving less power to heat? (just something that popped up in my mind, not that I don't know anything about what consumes how much power etc)

*edit* just tried the cigar puff technique (wich I almost never use) and got lots of vapor again.
I might need to brush up on my mflb talents, been spoiled with some lazy man vapes lately :)

The problem with the education system today, we being trained to have a question and an answer. No learning. The only thing people know how to do is get the answer not learn how to figure out the problem and then find the answer themselves. Teaching answers does not work, we need to teach learning!

Anyway, off the horse. I have been using my Magic Flight exclusively with the Infamous $40 bubbler. I feel like this is a perfect use for this bub. It fills up the can just fine and is easy to all hole in one hand, for me at least. I may even start bringing this set up on short weekend trips rather than the Pax just because of its ease and heck it even packs a great punch!

The Good Pair

I have gone through batteries as we all have over last couple of years.
I have 3 LBs in rotation here, and each has its set of batteries.
The car unit's batteries today became weakened to the point that I am replacing them. They were my original batteries that came with this particular box...
AAI240-XXX(the old stock.)
While I have replaced my other batteries, these two batteries have gone the long haul of daily use for at least 3 sessions for two years.
Rest in peace good pair!
(funny thing is, they worked fine yesterday... but upon today's charge they began to dim~)

Yes! I really enjoyed that bubbler before I broke it. It's the perfect size companion for a launch box.

Don't use the light for anything more than checking to see if your batteries are dead or not. Use the heat of the vapor to dictate your draw speed.
Yup, this threw me off when I used another launch box for the first time. It's easy to get used to how bright your particular box's bulb is at different power levels when using the PA. The light would look so bright in the other box so I'd pull harder in response… Not the best results!

Wow , really nice .
And it says it on sale for $ 39.99 , down from $ 89.99 .

So that little stem on top will fit into a mflb snugly or the silicone whip part ? ( the one that looks
like a hair dryer ) .

I want one ....like yesterday .

I use the whip that came with the box. It fits right on that tip.
