Any knife nuts here at FC?

It's a Falcon, I don't really use it tho. I bought it like more a piece of artisan art and culture

Opinel, I would definitely recommend for a functional, durable and pretty affordable piece.

I sharpen my own. Edge Pro, Sharpmaker, Lansky, diamond stones, water stones, and a bunch of different strops. I do have a Scrapyard Scrapizashi that I want to have a convex edge put on by a hand more skilled than my own. I just can't do a proper job on a 17" blade.

Jeppy, the 0350 is a sweet blade. I had one for a short while, but ended up upgrading to the bigger 0300 and traded the 0350 for a Spyderco Gayle Bradley. If anyone has about $120 to spend on the only knife you should ever need for your entire life, I highly recommend the Spyderco Gayle Bradley.

The Wicked Edge is a good system. It is a bit expensive, but can be found used at a cheaper price. The Edge Pro puts a beautiful mirror polish on all my edges. It's cheaper than the Wicked Edge, but there is a slight learning curve. The Edge Pro is also a bit easier to use when it comes to sharpening a recurve edge.

You can see a ceramic knife sharpener in my second picture. Does a great job w/o risk of damage for the blade

I carry a 3 7/8" CRKT Fire Spark (Spring Assisted Spear Tip Blade) for the offchance I need to defend myself; clipped inside my waistband on my right hip.

In my left pocket, I carry a Leatherman Knife+Pliers combo with the blade opening without fiddling with the plier section.

Nice nice!

I never used those, I was taught to do it by hand.

Wish I could show you guys my edges... I do a wonderful microbevel :D
I've got an Omnivore Bladeworks ETA thawk that I just can't get a good edge on. T-hawks have an edge geometry that I just can't work with, don't know why but this 'hawk refuses to work with me.
Do you think you could put a good working edge on something like that? If so (crossing fingers) what would you charge?

t-dub you have amazing taste in both vapes and blades.
Where do you get your Daltons? You've got a couple I've never seen before, and I thought I handle on tactical knives.
Once again I tip my hat to ya bro! I promise the very next knife-fight I stumble into im calling you and a couple others on this thread. I mean really, who doesn't like a good knife-fight? (Besides O.J. Simpsons wife).

Tomahawk? I've never sharpened one but if it has a linear bevel I can sharpen, just can't do any concave bevels (like inside curves).

So which knife/knives is the 'thermovape' of folders/fixed?

Performance>handle>fit&finish is demanded of chef knives.

Do you prefer that order or looks first?

Anyone force patinas on their carbons?

I've done a mustard forced patina.

The Thermovape if the knife world? So many to choose from!

Probably nothing anyone here would really care about, but....

We have a real Klingon Bat'Leth and Phoenix Dagger. We like them a lot, and display them proudly. :)
Oh, you and I are now FRIENDS! :p

Yes, of COURSE you have a REAL Klingon Bat'Leth. :)

I have a tribble.

Now, onto Blades...

Yes, sharp, shiny things are a part of our life. I personally have a short sword, and two Nora knives, with the red wooden handle, directly from Sweden (a dear friend gave them to me - mailed them from Sweden). My husband has a HUGE broadsword, and a small collection of pocket knives. There are other assorted knives (oh, and an Ulu!) around... some have dragons on/part of them, or faeries.

Never heard of Horkos. When it comes to fixed blades my recommendation is always Bark River Knife & Tool.

I'm in the market for a folder every-day carrier. I've heard a lot of great things about Chris Reeve Sebenza's but they are pretty rare and expensive - are they worth it or can I get basically the same quality for less elsewhere (I know there are a lot of knife manufacturers out there, haven't done a lot of research)
